Exactly, he's not checking the solenoid coils at all. So he has poor continuity in the pressure switches due to contamination. Solenoids could still be bad, we don't know he never checked them.
@@daveg.5579 the pressure switched go back to the processor, that is what controls tge solenoids. A pressure switch isn't going to generate PWM for solenoid control.
Great video. I was wondering what are you touching the eraser against to open the solenoid. Im guessing that the black ground is against or clamped to the techm body. I appreciate your input. Thanks
I have a 09 burban, it thru a code of p0751 which is shift solenoid A. But I’m having the exact same issue.. so my question is, would it be the valve body or the solenoid?
It could be either. You'll have to pull the VB to get the TEHCM off, so check them both. I've had a VB that I was able to repair by using contact cleaner with the films removed.
Will I be able to figure out shift solenoids / line solenoid problems with Autel scan tool (Live data) by monitoring the pressure? I am have a weird problem, somewhere at first or second gear I have to increase the pressure on acceleration pedal to increase speed and ride (it feels like hand finger tips stuck with honey where you need more pressure to get it out). Sometimes only taking my foot and get it back at acceleration pedal will help to retain required pressure. 2018 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L 6-speed trany
Nice video. I have 07 Yukon Denali 6l80 trans. I changed all the check balls in the valve body because one ball was shrunk stuck, and the car sometimes doesn't move. Then cleaned the same module, by adding new oil and filter. Now facing a new problem that there are no 1and 2 shiftings, it moves very heavy on the highest gear only then drives. The code I have is P0700. Do I need to reprogram it?. If you please advice
@@peanuthead5730I have a similar issue with first and second but it only happens occasionally, were it feels like first and second slips only if I accelerate more than 40%. I think is the shift solenoid, I change the filter and fluid. Before I did the fluid change, I had a P0700 code. Any Idea? Is a 2012 chevy tahoe 6l80 transmission.
I have a similar problem with my 2009 Silverado 1500 my truck when rolling in traffic I get a bump feel like someone rear ended me at like 4mph also I get a hard 1-2 upshift and 2-1 downshift and yesterday in traffic holding brakes to stop I got the bump feel again this time my first gear was gone it was now 2-6 gears pulled to the side of the road turn the truck off give it 2-3 minutes started again and my first gear was back do you think this could be my techm ? Please would like to hear back from you
If you have the ability to scan the trans look at PC3 and watch the turbin shaft speed. If while atopping the turbin speed goes and you feel the bump when PC solonoid 3 is applied it will be a failed one way clutch (sprag). I had the same issue in my 6L90 because the core came out of a 1400hp Ctsv.
@@williamwinter6797 No, with the scenario I gave its the one way clutch[sprag}. you can email at my name at YMAIL.COM AND i'll call you and walk you through it.
DAVE GUNTHER tried emailing you and it’s not going through for whatever reason Dave my email is wrwinter88@hotmail.com please i really would like your help resolving this problem
