6m + HF 100W To-Go/Field Day Gator Case on a Budget Alinco DX70TH 

Nice find on the case. I bought one of the plastic cases to build my field box, but I haven't finished it yet. I'm keeping the power separate and built a battery box instead of putting the battery in the field box. The battery box has a solar charge controller inside, along with power poles for output and charging - either by solar or by external charger. I also added a volt/amp meter to monitor it, with a switch so it won't drain any power off the battery. There's room in the box for a couple of smaller SLA/AGM/LiPo (6Ah) batteries or one larger 18Ah battery. I'll have to take some pictures and maybe write a build article for the club newsletter.
