I can tell you from my experience of two years running the 12.5” 6ARC for nighttime hog hunting that it’s just ‘ok’. I switched this year to a 14.5” (Proof) and the difference in DRT hogs was immediately evident. Killed 25 with only one runner and that one was DRT with a 183 yard follow up shot. The 12.5” didn’t seem to get good energy on target or the bullets just weren’t expanding enough to anchor the hogs. Lots of runners. And if you hog hunt, you know that hogs that get into the brush are nearly impossible to find. Just my experience. Yours may vary.

I have a 6.5 grendel already. I just feel like the new 100 grain v-match will do everything the 6/22 arc will. Then I can load my 123 sst and go hunt hogs or a few deer when the season hits. With all that being said I’m curious what I’m missing. 6max is the one that shares 223 bolts correct? This channel and the podcast are by far my favorite. Motivation for me to hunt more!!

Testing one currently ( got one with the gfr) , 250 rounds and no problems. Throught 6 different rifles.

Also, trouble gun is 22arc, not 6 arc.... just crossed my feeble forgetful brain...

From what I understand the 6 is same size as the 5.56 can. I haven’t actually gotten my hands on one. I can’t come up with a complaint on the 7.62 ti. Short answer to your question is if you run a flow through, and a heavier buffer you can make these arcs do just fine.

Depends on barrel length. Most scenarios a 7.5 will be fine.

I do not like how it looks, but it works very well. I’m testing 10 round geissele now , working great and I’ll get more of them.

Agreed! Ballistic advantage barrels are badass! I run the premium black series DMR barrels from them, and they shoot and group awesome. Not to mention they are at a great price point, so that always helps lol

That’s good to hear. My 18” has been flawless so far. It was the 14.5” that sheared the lugs so maybe it was just a fluke.

Suppressed (Hydrogen S) with a H2 on the 14.5”.

@@txpredatorhunting Sorry to slam you with all that. I am a long time competition shooter that has built custom rifles and tuned them for safe shooting. I sold a rail gun this year, and the buyer was freaking out at the fact the gun didn't slam fire with a 3 ounce trigger. Tuning a gun is more than a brand name, finish, bolt on hardware, and appearance. For hunting, the trigger needs to be crisp and without a long travel. We can adjust this on an AR, but it is best you know what you are doing. I don't see why so many people are bragging about their builds! I had one guy tell me the bolt action world was a minority. I asked if he was an authority on air soft! My latest build was a 12" BBL in 6.5 Grendel, which is better balanced than the 20" BBL 6ARC. To me, the AR balance is shoot the ground and the gun needs to weigh about 10 pounds. I like the repeater of the gas gun. The FAB CORE-GL M stock allows a full 30 rnd mag to be used to balance the rifle.

Interesting, I have about 15 asc , only one or two was working properly when I ditched them. Several had springs break .

lol, I appreciate it. What you can’t hear due to my editor being a wiz . Background noise was happening and I was very pissy about it. lol
