They are vulnerable to NLAW;s and other ATGM's, but so is anything else on wheels or tracks, I don't know any personnel carrier that is tougher than a main battle tank. I just watched a video of one of these in Ukraine running at amazing speed when it hit a mine. Big explosion....Typhoon didn't even slow down, just kept going.

This isn't ment to high intensity peer-to-peer conflicts like IFVs are. This is a MRAP, made for peace support operations.

More important, that each can erase other with nukes, so amount of mrap is irrelevant. Like irrelevant amount of any other kinds of weapons, from air forces to navy. Also real numbers are classified. Remember ww2, Hitler was sure USSR had no weapons, while Soviets had tens thousands hidden in shelters. Discussion about numbers is not serious, all public numbers are fake.

Since when military trucks are being used in active conflict zones? It's a military transport truck for the Russian troops to safely move from one place to another. It's not intended to use in an active battlefield.

@@ronaldmcboggled9855 Yup blown up by the Ukrainian sabotage groups with ATGM or by placing roadside IEDs... These trucks are operating inside the Russian controlled areas where risk is minimal but it's a war so sometimes things go wrong....

@@ronaldmcboggled9855 even MBTs can't stand against IEDs... Most casualties of NATO in Iraq was caused by IEDs... These trucks can withstand small arms fire & mines but IED & ATGMs are another story... Normally these type of threats aren't expected where these trucks are intended to operate..

I have always been a fan of Russian military vehicles and this one sure looks like it was derived from a US design in which were forced to perfect because of the use of IEDs causing so many fatalities with our troops in our last war in the desert. The US was the first to utilize the V-hull design to deflect blast away from the vehicle and lots of other countries have realised the value in this design and improved upon it in their own ways! Somebody asked about price here, I dont know about the Russian version but the US smaller vehicles were running about 1 million USD each then went up dramatically from there! Its a very proven concept and has saved a lot of troop lives, can it be improved upon, Certainly as you know every time we come up with a better havver the enemy returns with a different nail! It seems like so much of the worlds technology is shared today that its pretty rare where one country holds all the cards on anything. One example is this Russian MRAP is running and Allison Transmission which is built by General Motors in the US! This is a very effective looking vehicle for today but that only goes till the Enemies NEW NAIL comes out!

The vehicles were designed and engineered with help from Timoney Technology of Ireland 🇮🇪. The vehicles use the Timoney independent suspension systems, plus other technologies from Timoney. Both vehicles are based on the Timoney MP44 and the Timoney MP66 which Timoney had worked with many other countries who also benefited from these and other designs by Timoney over the years up to the present day. Such as Ireland of course plus Australia, Germany, US, Belgium, Singapore, China and many other countries.

This is not frontline machine, no mine resistant seats for soldiers, very narrow for soldiers, no shooting holes, so soldiers get exposed if they need to shoot, full joke, not a military machine.
