Whether great engineering or not, ultimetely the crew determine whether we have them perform to the hilt - there is a very fine balance of understanding the vehicle edge and the terrain bottlenecks which take one’s all to overcome...those few which picked up drive shaft problems? One is surprized there are only so few. Truly great to watch. Thank you kindly to the presenters...FANTASTIC enjoyment, man machine and diesel power!

Once drove a 6 wheel drive Ford 9000 truck with bobtail 3000 gallon fuel tank used for fueling heavy equipment. What a blast it was to drive, it was lifted with oversized tires to work in sand pits.

Okay, got a question for those of you more familiar with this cool sport. The object is to navigate the course while staying between the course gate markers. If one of the trucks were to hit and knock over one of the gates (the little broom stick thingy to mark the course), how do the course officials know where to put it back so it's in the exact same position for the next team? Sometimes they don't even have to hit the stick. The mud dispersion is enough to move it or knock it over. Even though these are massive vehicles, this is still a sport of inches. If the gate position changes even by a few inches at a time, this could possibly be an advantage or disadvantage to the next team.

Can anyone tell Me make and model of the yellow truck at 7:00 minute mark. I’m guessing it’s a Russian “Ural” I think they’re called. I’m from USA. So I like the trucks with the long hoods more than the flat front cab over style but wanna know what that truck is spefically. If anyone knows. Much appreciated
