This is my fathers latest Loco that was finished in 2013 and this is footage of some of its first runs over the past 8 months
Its a Caledonian Dock Tank, often referred to as a Beetle Crusher.
The class was introduced by the Caledonian Railway in 1911 and became LMS engines after grouping in 1923.
The Loco's were designed for Dock and siding Shunting work.
This model is in the livery British Railways which the Loco ran in after 1948.
The Class were withdrawn bewteen 1958 & 1962

Lovely model and very well built, nice bark at the stack, too! Excellent choice for a compact yet powerful loco' in this scale & gauge. Nice video, thanks for posting your work.

Would be nice to get your loco and mine together Steve. I've got a model of no.534 that was built back in the late 80s and finished 1991. Would be very cool to have the two run together at some point

doubled up Rob Roy? Always thought it was a good idea a friend is doing one too.

matthewpeter Thanks for the comment. Is your friend building a 3 1/2 inch gauge or 7 1/4 inch gauge? My father has a 3 1/2 inch gauge Rob Roy too, to the standard design for easy building. This 7 1/4 Rob Roy has followed the design of the full size loco rather than the commercial design.

Steve's Channel he's actually building it by effectively combining Holmside and Rob Roy!
