Great video, but... There is a problem with the element argon and the calcium ion, whose radii are very close since an atomic species whose radius is an estimated value is being compared with ionic species whose values have been determined experimentally by measurements in crystalline networks. S2- (184pm) > Cl- (181pm) > K (138pm) > Ca2+ (100pm) > Ar (98pm). Thanks for your videos.

Great point Jorge! I actually made a point of not covering it in the video as I didn't want to "get stuck in the weeds." I've embedded this entire playlist on my website and have begun writing some companion material to go with the videos and have a rather robust article that specifically addresses this issue in isoelectronic series (though my radii for Ar, K+ and Ca2+ differ slightly from yours in my graphic). Do you teach Jorge? I wouldn't expect any gen chem student to be familiar with this.

@@ChadsPrep No😅, I'm just a high school student (from Spain), I heard about this because I'm preparing for the chemical olympiad so this is in the temary. Thanks for your comment and I'll check that that article. Your videos are really helpful!

Have more free time on RU-vid? Glad you choose to spend time on the channel!

18:35 it doesnt make sense how adding electrons on the same shell more than doubles the radii
