(7-11-14) [HD] Chasing the Permanente Local Around Milpitas and San Jose 

(Watch in HD) On Friday, July 11th, 2014, I decided to head to Milpitas to see what was in the yard and sure enough I see the power for the Permanente Local getting ready to do some switching around to pick up empties for the Cement Plant. That gave me the indication that I must chase it from Milpitas to San Jose. All thanks to VTA Bus Route 66, I got ahead of the train at 10th Street in the Industrial Area of San Jose after seeing it passing by Curtis Ave in Milpitas, CA. While I wait for the Perm to come by, I notice another local waiting in the siding near Taylor St for the Perm to get out of the way so after I caught the Perm passing by on E Hedding St, I high tailed to 10th Street to catch the other local that was coming by. This video also includes power sitting in the yard, a separate local switching around after returning from the North San Jose Industrial Lead, and the Perm picking up 12 4-Bay Hopper Cars for its run to the Lehigh Cement Plant in the hills of Cupertino, CA. This job takes the Warm Springs Sub out of Milpitas to the Vasona Industrial Lead starting at San Jose Diridon Transit Center and goes along the VTA Route 902 (Mountain View-Winchester Light Rail Line) past Winchester to the hills of Cupertino, CA.
