The King County Sheriff's Office used their hoist equipped 1970 UH-1 aircraft to rescue this injured hiker near Snow Lake on 15 July, 2020. The King County Sheriff's Office helicopter is a regional asset and does not charge for rescues it performs under public use laws.

My uncle used to work for King county search and rescue, if I remember correctly I think my grandpa said over 20 years he worked there, thank you to all of our search and rescue teams you guys and gals are amazing, I love our state beautiful scenery.

If you look carefully, the "defund the police" movement is about making more funds available for social services like this, rather than investing in things like armored personnel carriers, assault rifles, and armed officers on the streets.

@@markcolburn Umm.. no it is not... trust me. At least in Seattle, it was all for the Homeless, the drug-addicted, and was racially motivated and biass.

@@markcolburn Thank you for your comment. I did look carefully and not one of these search and rescue folks are classified as 'violence interrupters'. The 'defund the police' movement is for reallocating funds away from police enforcement and this is tied closely with the Soros DAs who do not prosecute bad people and or let them go on little or no bond. If your boss reallocated your salary how much motivation would you have going forward. smh
