Thankfully your truck was still there when you got back. It is illegal to go past the barricades at a closed boat ramp. And it is always illegal to drive a motor vehicle on corp of engineers property. Park rangers were out yesterday at Boat Ramp 22, and 23 .
Thank you for your concern. I have talked to many folks around that launch and the word is, that given the long term low water conditions, boat ramp 23 has been open to fishing and paddling. I'd love to meet the Ranger and find out more. If I run into them I'll get back to ya with an update. P.S. I didn't park in that spot the whole time, it was part of the magic of editing. :)
