7/29/22 The Last 2 Stage Chuck E. Cheese In Houston Is about To Be Gone! 

Super sad that the future generations of kids won't be able to experience the pure magic of these robots. These robots didn't just perform, they represented something important. They never just represented Chuck E Cheese, they represented happiness, family, friendship, and memories. Having it gone is truly heartbreaking.

As much as the animatronics fuel my nightmares, they’re still nostalgic to my childhood… I remember peeking behind the curtains and staring at them for what seemed like hours but was probably only minutes. Creepy yet enchanting!

This is hard to watch. I don't like to think that part of my childhood is being ripped down and destroyed. Bad shape or not, I STILL can't imagine a Chuck E. Cheese's without a showstage and animatronics.

Aw man this location here was the exact one that I always went to as a child when it was my birthday, fond memories I have when I always went on the stage and touch the animatronics and try and get its attention lol. Sad that it's all going away now. 😔

I heard of someone on reddit that found a headless Chuck E. animatronic in the dumpster behind a location that was being reconstructed. It was a studio c animatronic

Wow! I was just at the stafford texas location last week! I'm going back tomorrow so I can get take advantage of the animatronics before they get removed. I wish I was here when you where here! It would have been incredible to meet someone who has the same passions in animatronics (rock afire and cec) as I do.

If I ever have kids one day, I will not take them to a Chuck E. Cheese's because of this horrible decision made by corporate!

You were in my city! I was working at the Weslayan location when they were building the Stafford location, and some of the team members were going to Stafford to train the new crew. I was maintaining the 3-Stage Show in Houston up until it finally closed a few years ago (it was the last of the original ShowBiz Pizza locations in Houston). Houston had a LOT of Chuck E Cheese stores, with a mix of a lot of old ShowBiz Pizza locations and new post-1992 stores (and an acquired Discovery Zone, renovated into CEC in Humble, which had an alpha stage). The other 2-Stage location was in Webster, TX and was converted to a Studio C fairly early on. Not sure if you made it to Lake Jackson south of Houston, but they have a Smalltown Chuck store in Brazos mall which started with the buffet concept and no show at all. They later added a Studio C Cappa show.

Damn I left houston 15 years ago and this Stafford CEC was one of my favorites as a kid just the showroom dim and the animatronics singing and the playroom slides and game rooms was amazing, sad to see this go

This was the location I went to as a child, it's gonna be sad when the Animatronic 2-stage in Stafford is gone.

I'm so sad to see the animatronics go. The business decisions make sense financially. But it sure is going to be a lame shame without them. There's one remaining show in my home state of Michigan. I just went to see them today when I heard the news. It seems like a combination of a road show, and 1 stage with cool chuck. I'm not quite sure. I haven't been in years. But even with my short visit. You can tell the owners and staff care for them very very much. And neither want to let go. We'll see what future is to come for this store.

Even though the 2-stage has Cyberamics and they are cheap and mediocre, it still is my favorite CEC stage, so seeing one in such bad condition and about to get trashed really sucks. Poor guys... they deserve better.

The circles of lights stage was actually in Corporate stores too!! it was the main stage to be used from 2012 to 2017

RIP, I might have been to this location as a kid since I remember seeing a full band at the restaurant.

It’s sad to see the poor condition of these animatronics and of 2.0 taking over rest in peace the Animtronics I have an idea for CEC they should sell there animatronics on eBay or there own website or send them back to the factory or put them in the private party room instead of wasting them like they weren’t in history SCINE WHEN DID CEC GET A NEW FOUNDER also I think the guy who made 2.0 hit his head

Circles of light actually HAS gone into a few company owned locations, of which, I *THINK* only a handful have bots/ It will be interesting to see if the new video screen will be put up on the wall to your right of where the stage was.

When I went there doing Contrution they were off sad that there gonna go And Awsome video And plus I love the COL Stage

Can you check out the Circle of Lights stage at Kapolei in Hawaii. The Circle of Lights stage is a pretty unique and probably a very rare stage as it has a dance floor mixed with a circle of lights stage.

So I went to chuck e cheese that is located in woodlands texas and i was very lucky to see one of these stages a week ago

You can tell if it's a 16 or 32 by the eyebrows. The 32 movements eyebrows pop out more since his eyebrows move. The 16 movements eyebrows are attached close to his face since they don't move.

I live in Houston and i went there a month ago and i will miss the stage 2 i love the stage 2

Wow, that has to be the worst condition cyberamic stage I’ve ever seen. When CEC allows their bots to fall into such a state of disrepair, it’s no wonder the kids aren’t interested in them anymore.

I’m so sad this stage is being removed, I visited this place a lot. In fact, the Jasper in my profile picture is from this location

At stafford the speakers were there just not by the stage

u should go see the road stage, theirs's one in charlotte but it's not in the best area and the stage is pretty bad when they move and half of the time they are in random mode. they are supposed to remodel at the end of this year. I'm pretty sure the best road stage is wane NJ but heard they are remodeling very soon

You should go to the cec in port orange FL that is probably the best circle of light stage you also could go to the west Melbourne FL location it has the only galaxy stage which is a test stage that came before the circle of light stage

This sucks. Reminds me when I went to Chicago and had a 1 stage and asked about it and they are going to be demolished in august. I even offered to purchase them but to no avail.

Are they planning on auctioning the animatronics off? If they don’t want them, I could imagine it’d be better to put them in the hands of fans who would willingly take care of them.

There goes another 2-Stage, hope Lansing won't be next after Stafford, I can't bear to see Lansing's show thrown out into a landfill, never to be seen again, and I'm not letting Grand Rapids' Studio C Alpha go in its current state with Chuck's left eyebrow only able to go up and Bird's mouth jammed open, I'm going to make sure that GR's Alpha is safe when I get a job there, there's no way I'm staying to see a perfectly good stage go and be replaced by a cheap dance floor in the remodel and grand reopening of what used to be a Showbiz location, Novi's Beta is dead from the Grand Reopening of what used to be the last 32-Movement Studio C Beta in Michigan.

I haven’t been following this since summer of ‘16. Is the 3 stage extinct nationwide? Probably is by now
