After reading through a tuning guide on oilburners.net linked below...

I had an old clip to compare the differences from the adjustments that put out more fuel and very pleased with the results. Just demonstrating work done in less time that equals more power, not a race truck by any means

I have service truck with a 20ft boom and I can hit 75mph floored but not up a hill.

I can cruise at 85 no problem in my factory turbo idi. 3.55 rear with the zf5

I think it would be nice to see a few more runs for a more accurate comparison but I understand you have already done the changes. Also the same road for comparison would be nice. What do boost egt number look like? Otherwise good video!

The road in the second test was in the mountains going up a slight grade. So worst conditions and it did better. Also did a 3rd test with the fuel screw turned up all the way, it now does 9 seconds from 35 to 70, so pretty cool to see what fuel can do. Boost got high, 17psi flat ground, 20 going up a hill, prolly more towing. EGT's upward to 800-900 degrees, won't know where it will peak while towing. I have an intercooler ready to install someday to help with towing egt's.

Is that tach. At idle? Mine just just smokes out the people behind me and nothing much happens until at least 1600 rpm. What is the minimaxx rod?

What do you think about the torque cam? Any impressions on how it changed the motor?

I have one in my truck… it totally changed the way I drive. When hooked to my 35 gooseneck, I used to have to really feather the clutch when trying to get moving. Now it’s a lot like my dad’s 95 12 valve. Tons of idle torque and it boosts super early. Factory turbo I get 12 psi by 2k. It starts spooling and making boost around 1200 ish. I’d do it again for sure

Hey man did you stud the heads or are you still running the stock bolts? Figured you probably did since you changed out the cam and added the higher output turbo. How is the truck holding up did you ever get around to intercooling?

I am still using stock head bolts. I installed a water to air intercooler last fall and its been working pretty good. I am now waiting on the CDD 110cc IP.

IDI Ford Diesels that’s awesome I’ve been wanting to upgrade my engine and was leery of putting a bigger turbo/pump on it before doing head studs because it seems like that’s what everyone suggests. But I’ll end up running the motor til the head gaskets fail more than likely and then do a full rebuild.

Mine is NA 7.3 idi with a e40d trans and mine will get from 0-60 in what that thing gets 35-75mph

BULLSHIT ALERT! Before test; shifted at 3kRPM and skipped a gear which dogged it down hard. After test; ran it up to about 3,600RPM and shifted up one gear. Before test it hit 70 before 3k RPM, after test hit 70 at just over 3k. The RPM at 60MPH on the two tests also shows that it was in a different gear.

I had a bad tach sensor giving me wonky RPMs in the first test. Watch the first run on the video and it went to zero when I let off the gas and shifted in neutral. I can't remember if I replaced the sensor and adjusted the gain meter before the second run or after. Not really sure but I got it working correctly now and want to do a video with the 110cc pump!
