7 AWESOME Base Locations - Abiotic Factor 

The room directly above the forge is my go to. No spawns inside, good space that you need to climb a ladder to get to so no enemies can get to your base. Its only flaw is it has only one outlet inside.

​@@MrBohij Use the outer area too! It's where I set up my stay at the base charger and toilets and decked it out with plants and pictures from around the facility. Also I some stuff down by The Blacksmith (who is the only source of two or three parts), and set up a chill little living room area with a TV pointing at Blacksmith so he can also watch TV! Got this witchy aunt vibe going on. I hope they add some more cosmetics, especially things that can make you look like that Sister of the Unlost! I really enjoyed that base, but I'm going to be looking to move into the cascade labs at some point soon. Maybe inside the Dark Lense Portal area, or on the third or fourth level of C-block? I kind of hate where they set up that first base near the bot, because there are power cables and what not in the vent areas above, and then you could set up traps for the bot to auto destroy it when it comes out. Also it is just too far out from all other locations

Regarding your last sentence, do enemies spawn if no one is in that area?

If you make a controller, you can fix the shutters in the security office now. Not sure if it stays fixed permanently though.

It does, I fixed the shutter and its now basically my door of getting in and out of the base. Imho this is the ideal base since I use a tesla coil to farm the security bot every night lol

Actually the EXACT same 2 spots for me too! I made a vid about these very spots a week ago. I am pleased to see somebody else with the exact same thought process. I took the overeating and overdrinking traits to get some extra points, so I NEED close water for me and the farms.

@@bigkidBAM Yeah, for the second run I took overdrinking and couple more bad traits, because in my first run I learned, that bean bag for two additional slots - is most useful perks in pair with big brain for more xp. Everything else you can achieve by simply playing the game, or maybe grind a little bit. By the way, I found one more spot for base. It is in the west construction area, where big grinder is. There are no enemies, two big water silos, but most important - there are caves nearby at the end of which you can find pond with portal under the water, that can teleport you to the balcony above that grinder, but it is not the case, because the thing you should think about is water in that portal pond. This water is not regular water, it's a antiverse juice, which is pretty similar to the pure water. You can drink it from the pond without any risks and even use that water in the cooking like pure water! You can store that juice in any bottle, barrel, pot! But it is not suitable for gardening... But anyway there is two silos with tainted water nearby at the grinder area, so with that base spot you make your life pretty much easier with all of that boiling! I'm definitely would try this in my third run :)

@@DeusMechanikus that's actually good to know about the special water! Sucks you can't use it for farming. That'd be the greatest hydroponic farm in the game!!! If only that spot was found earlier on, when you need to boil every pot of water just to drink and water farms. I ended up picking up and hauling back every single water cooler I could find until I unlocked the filtration barrel. LOL And I also took the big brain perk. That was, by far, the first one I jumped on. But I wanted a few more, so I grabbed some silly negative ones that didn't harm me too much. Ended up with quite a lot of perks. And 10 points is just TOO much to spend for 2 extra slots, IMO. No thanx on that one. I'm probably going to wait until more content is released to play again. Unless I can convince a couple friends to jump in with me. I'm making content on some other games for now, until some BIG releases hit this year that I'm really looking forward to. Abiotic Factor went under the radar for me until I started seeing it everywhere. I usually avoid most early release games. But this one I had to jump on, since I grew up with the original Half-Life. :)

@@bigkidBAM Perks and builds are good if only they are suitable for you, so it is totally understandable if you don't like those two slots :) Anyway, I am most pleased by the way which this game is going. Few patches away I was upset because of repair bench that can't use resources in the containers around like workbenche does and look at it now! This is make me so hopeful about this game, so I even decided to share my suggestion about pest wheels in steam developers forum. So if after that I saw something with that case - I wold be so hyped. The next content update, I hope, will be soon because in the first place it's called "Summer update", so it is in the reach of couple of months or maybe we can see it in that June. I hope so... Anyway, goodluck with your content creation and it is was pleasure for me to share some common thoughts with someone about this game!

@@DeusMechanikus yeah, I'm hoping for more content sooner rather than later! I'll definitely be popping on and off and trying some new builds and stuff in the future. Might make some content just in regards to all the different style of builds possible. Thanx for the well wishes and the good convo! @AmILateToTheParty Ah that's a good place for them too. We have our bedroom in the shooting range as we wanted to have all the beds together and it's the only place safe enough for 6 beds. Make sure you put xray turrets on the 2 main doors too, I'm sure you know why...

or just build the storage that keeps 100% of the rads inside it

Yeah that's where we put our base too. Then we just made a jump pad to get up there quicker.

@@Freddy_the_K not too bad, every one of them ive had thus far, i can usually knock the enemies off the edge and the robot will deal with it at night. and the exors will usually just teleport off of the platform or get stuck somewhere and wont teleport back

@@kameronsandifer7 ah yeah thats a smart idea, its always a lil tedious getting up there, getting down isnt too bad cuz theres a spot where you can fall in between the vent and the walkway and land on another platform and jump to the ground from there without breaking your legs

@@achylz yeah we also put the cloth ropes in a few spots to get down easier

The Workbenches despawn enemies nearby, including robots!!

In the patch earlier this morning, they've added timers to the shutters so you can't get locked out!

@@AmILateToTheParty They patched it again, now there's a way to fix the shutters now, with making the controller.

Their is a backdoor close to the bleeding man that leads into the locker room part of the base

There is a backdoor leading to the lockers room. Once you unlock hacking you'll be able to get in. Also, the shutters can now be operated by you once you fix them with a controller

Yeah, I agree it's lost its unique selling point! That being said, still quieter than most places on the map so is still a decent location
