The allocation tip was worth it's weight in gold. This game doesn't tell you a lot, which honestly I'm cool with. We learn with AMI

I do like the test and explore nature to the learning curve too. It would be nice if AMI started to point out or hint at things if the game realizes you're missing something key though.

Bout go my nerd on with this Comment ... regarding the Wind turbines we need to better understand the Wind Patterns and Complexity that goes behind it... I did take wind turbines as my first research project and deleted all my Other Solar Panels when Battery was unlocked. Regrettable it was a pain in my arse but did complete the game at year 23. If you made it this far i appreciate it.. :D * i am not going to say where to place the Wind turbines in this at all. * *will tell you the line to follow.... so Mars is Circle with 2 cog wheels on both sides the cogs represent the north pole and soul. Months 1-4 the Current flows up to the left from the South Pole. Months 4-10 Enters a Vortex - Epicenter North Pole. Month 10 -13 Release of Pressure from the Vortex still go up and to the left towards the Equator *SOUTH TO THE NORTH* 14-17 *DOWN TO THE LEFT NORTH TO SOUTH* Months 18-21 Vortex at the South Pole making a Epicenter. 22-24 release of pressure and reversing towards the North Pole to repeat the Process. ((___the line i was referring to is the Air Current. you can find it if you look at the South pole and look north towards the SISPHI PLARIASEA.__)) i had 3 based on this Line from the South Pole to the ALBEA MONS by the North POLE. If you have Wind Turbines in the North South and Middles Hemispheres you'll be fine. I thought people could under the rotation of the Winds to better understand. NOTES when the Vortex is happening the Wind Turbines in the Opposite Side of the Planet will be affected the most (or hit the hardest.) The Middle area will be always be a hit and miss because of the depressurizing effect., but *the time that these are down are lesser then the 2 Opposing Sides.* )) My Personal base need where 6 turbines for 2batteries. This is easily tested by making a save game (Energy Test xWT x number of turbines current to xBAT) So my save game was Energy Test 14WT 4BAT how i read it. then i let the game for a year and watch the Graph for Electricity. If your based is just getting by on the store power you need to add more. Second test would be on the Buildings page the Efficiency of the Turbines compare to each month. *this was for me to realize what Sectors i needed to Added additional items to. I 100% agree that being able to have an overlay showing wind strength would help with placing wind turbines. I found that because you need to place generators of some form to expand your energy grid, I ended up with a massive excess of power due to all the solar farms that I was placing. Because there's no day/night cycle solar farms end up being much more reliable compared to wind turbines, and dust storms are only an issue periodically. I like the idea of wind turbines but feel they need some refinement to make them a better option, in my opinion.

@@Kolrolf after diligent study of the Humidity Gauge Central by the Equator is the Safest place for wind Turbines... Equator meaning anything between the Arabia Terra and Heltis Pania. Inside these areas have the highest Humidity ranges. Something outside of those Ranges use batteries or Solar. For me personally I have a Separate base next to every Land-Based research site. And hyperloops attach to the lanes. Btw a Tip: i don't think many people have this the Scanner Towers can be built on the tip of the Research areas you can daisy chain out to them... Then build it and then you can delete the chain bc 2. 1a Maintenance Drones don't travel over roads. 1b. Scanner Tower doesn't Require any items to maintain it once it up and going. This also works w/ Power stations and Batteries.

One thing I've noticed is that if you land a new landing site in an area you've already scanned you don't get the free resources. So be careful where you place it and how far you've scanned.

I have a good tip for new landing sites, drop down 5+ landing sites at least instead of 1. Once I figured that out my speed of setting up new forward bases went up by a factor of 10. Single landing sites are so starved on resources and drones that by the time you get a that drone factory up and running you are way too far behind. By dropping more than 1 landing site you get extra drones (that don't die, because landing sites drones don't seem to degrade). You get extra resources to quickly build up the mines AND you get that extra power which is about as much as a solar farm per landing site you add extra.

I've tried to place multiple landing sites in the campaign but I don't know how to do that. I could create multiple landing site launches and put them all down near each other, is that what you mean? I'm unsure but really curious how to do this.

this no longer works.. if a area of the map has already been reveal, you will no longer be able to reveal more resources.. it was patch when 'deeper' mines came out.

Hey man, perhaps ypu can help me! I've just started the game, and reached max number of buildings in like 30mins!!!! How do I expand the number of buildings that ai can build? thanks

You need to complete research in the base engineering tree, so E-01, E-02, etc. They increase the number of buildings you can build. If you haven't unlocked research access yet, build a space port and import some colonists from Earth. Just make sure to also build a colony first so they have somewhere to live and work!

I guess that wasn't programed into the game; it would make sense to have some natural population growth though...

@@Kolrolf They do breed but its extremely slow one of the Story Driven Characters is ((((Spoiler)))) born on mars Commanders daughter. But they don't seem to die off if you turn off there food and water. If you turn off the Migration Rockets. they will simple be there. No Research.
