excellent...drums sound spot on! the one part is a deviation from the core groove most skip over...@0:15 3 measures of groove into one measure of _________- and back to groove
I know this comment was written 4 years ago and you're likely a pro by now, but for future viewers, I screen record it at 50% speed and just the parts I'm working on and it helps tremendously.
I'm gonna beat this drum (pardon the pun) until my dying day, but songs are by their SONGWRITERS, not by any one of the many people who performed it. So it should be Sing, Sing, Sing by LOUIS PRIMA!!! (If you want to emphasize an arrangement, feel free to mention the arranger - after the composer.)
I wrote a long comment and trade offer for you on the wrong page in response to the wrong video and can’t figure out how to copy it here. Basically I’m asking for a version on a Cahone then I can play as close to the original me as possible. I do not have a fork at horn mine is a miniature lap or wait to go home but I’m sure I can be creative and make a base for the pedal. I don’t believe I have the ability to do is go to a job converting it to the Cahone if you would and it really true offer trading favors because I don’t have much cash. Thank you very much
Great playing/feel but actually the original sticking pattern played by Krupa was RrLlRlrlRlrRlRll. Though he would sometimes change to singles later, this is the original sticking.
This is how I started to play it when learning - then after several YT videos got completely lost - only been playing 11 month’s . Think I’ll revert back to yours dan habu.
Nice one, dude. But the beat you teach is not the one you play to start with, which is Krupas original Version. When you play the thing at the start of your vid, in bar 2 of the 2 bar pattern the thing starts off with, you accent on 3+, not on 4 as you write. So in bar 2, you group the 8ths 3+2+3, when you teach you write them 3+3+2. Might confuse some ppl. Other than that, excellent job.
totally agree...i hv been rewatching this video for 2hr and it still confuses me.....wtf...i wish there is drum sheet on the screen, so hard to learn by just listening and watching his speedy hands
