Very good work! I’ve been looking at bunk houses from the perspective of using them as an office area with a desk. There’s only a few I’ve seen, but I’m sure there is more. If you ever consider doing a series with this in mind, I for one would love ya for it! The goal is a functional desk area, preferably built in, with as much desktop real estate as possible. I use a big monitor, and because I like to focus uninterrupted a toy hauler conversion isn’t the best option as most are open and accessed often. Mid bunks with closable doors and a decent desk area that could serve both as a gaming room for the kids at night, and a office for me during the day would be excellent. Please tell me that I’m not the only one! 😎
Hi Erin, You are not alone! If we had a 5th wheel we would rip out the bunks and make an office! We might make a video about how to convert bunks or bunkhouses into an office area. Thanks for watching, commenting and the suggestion! Mike and Susan
For anyone looking....we just purchased the Sierra 3220RL (Sandpiper 3220RL is the same). We HIGHLY recommend this model as it has the great feel of the rear living and convenience of a mid-bunk, but it's MUCH shorter! We like to camp in county parks still so it's nice to not have to worry about getting into spaces!

I own the Grand Design Reflection 31MB and we are very happy with this unit. The bunkhouse is truly a 2nd bedroom, which my wife has for her own bedroom and I sleep up front with our dog at night. Trying to get our dog to sleep on the triple theater seats, but so far, no luck. She loves to nap during the day in both spaces. In general, very well built and love the on demand water heater from Furrion. The shower enclosure is top quality with a heavy duty header which I use to grab on to getting in and out of the shower. Double medicine cabs are great as each of us have our own storage. The big dinette in the back is mostly used for dual working spaces as I'm on one end with my laptop and my wife has her "office" on the other end. We eat most of our meals sitting in the theater seats. The only weakness is the TV location over the extended countertop, but it's tolerable. Our dry weight is just under 10k pounds and I tow with a F250 with a 7.3 liter V8 and it's a piece of cake to tow.

I liked the last one best, but we are looking for a shorter 5th wheel. Most of these are all too long. Want something with a shoe rack, king size bed and azdel only. Thank you for showing these. This was very helpful.

Thank you for this. My wife and I have been looing for a while. We thought we were going to get the Hideout 320 MDBS, but then we saw the Sabre 377FLL which is very similar to the High Country 377FL. I believe that is going to be our next purchase.

The forest river sandpiper was probably my favorite! Do not like how the jayco eagle has no dinette/eating space. I like the desks in the master bedroom, great space for an office and of course the washer/dryer hook up options, always a plus! Don’t like the shelves in the master so close to the pillow area, I’m definitely one that would slam my head into it while sleeping. I do not have a fifth wheel, I’d love one though. I have a forest river wind jammer with the bunkhouse, love it but I love the space/storage in the fifth wheels and tank sizes are much better in fifth wheels. Love your videos!

I have a Jayco North Point 377RLBH and I love it. One thing that I really enjoy with my 5 wheel is that the furnace intake is in the stairs not the bunkroom, my friend has a Sabre 5 wheel with a mid bunk and the furnace intake is in the bunkroom his son says it's loud

@@RVBlogger we like how our boys have their own bunk bed as well as having the extra seating/ pull out bed in the living room for other guests. It was all around the best fit for what we needed in an RV.
We just purchased a Jayco Northpoint 377 RLBH. It's thr big brother upgrade to the Jayco Eagle in this video. We absolutely love it. It is quality from top to bottom with little extras that make it feel like a luxury home.
Hi Susan, We are always impressed with Jayco designs and quality. The Northpoint is also a great 4 season RV too! Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan By the way we started a new Facebook Group for folks interested in learning all about RVs. Susan - we are looking at the Jayco Northpoint 377 RLBH as well. Can I ask what kind of truck you use to pull it? It seems like a rather heavy fifth wheel.

You'll see from my list that is my favorite. I looked at so many, but they have the couch, flip-down, and loft above as well as the best storage/desk/entertainment set up. I could go on. I think I did under one of the videos, maybe the one I linked. I love the 377RLBH (I assume RLBH)! IF YOU ARE EVER IN JERSEY I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT!

I am really enjoying these videos my favorite was #1 love the bedroom with the two walldrobe on each side. No tubes but that's ok . I smiled at the part where you layed back in the chair you are funny😍😍!! I have a question? Did you ever did a walk through of your RV if so would you be kind to let me know which video it is so that I can watch it. You and Susan are doing a great job. Thank's for Sharing You and Susan be safe out there! I hope this thing will stop for everyone sake!!
Hi Cheryl, Thanks so much! I'm glad you think I am funny - that makes two people now - me and you! lol! Susan and I have never done a walk through of our own RV. I never even thought about that. Maybe we will have to do that one day. We just have a 2008 Gulf Stream Conquest 24' Class C RV so I'm not really sure if people would want to see it or not. If we make a video about it I'll certainly let you know! Thanks you you take care too! Hopefully this virus thing will simmer down soon. Mike

How much did you pay for it? We are looking at the same model. We have a 2018 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel and am concerned with the hitch weight of the GD 31MB.
Idk which 5th wheel bunkhouse i liked the most cause they all seem pretty awesome. However i gotta admit that the 5th wheel that i loved the most was the 1 with the double beds on the upstairs loft area. But again they were all pretty cool 5th wheelers. Nice video and very informative. Loved coming across ur RU-vid channel and i'm def subscribing. Thanks 4 the upload! ❤😊

@@RVBlogger Well the Newmar Canyon Star 3921 for sure. There are a few Thor Outlaw models we looked at as well. Those are the only 2 Class A Toyhaulers we were aware of being made in 2019/2020. Surprisingly! Ours is meeting our needs perfectly. ~Bradley

Great info with quick, concise run throughs, thanks a lot! I’m looking right now but not sure which is right for us... I’d really like to find something like the Grand Design (I think it’s the 30BH) with the slide that comes out of the back but apparently they quit making it!
It’s usually just me traveling with my Mom so we don’t want anything too big (just more work for me) but it’d be nice to have our own space! If you have any recommendations I’d definitely appreciate it!
Hi Blakehx, Thanks for the kind words! Glad you like our review style. I think they replaced the 30BH with the 28BH..not positive about that. On those Jayco 5th wheels are you able to customize those bunkrooms? My wife and I are thinking about full time living in one but I need a full office with multiple large computer monitors and a fairly large desk. Thanks for this video it was great!
Hi Jerry, Susan and I wonder the same thing every time we see a bunkhouse - we need an office, not bunks. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure you can modify the camper. All I seem to see are 5th wheels with bunkhouses, I need to know if there is a 5th wheel made out there that comes with an extra bedroom/sleeping area that isn't a bunkhouse(with bunkbeds) more like a couch where an adult can watch television & or play video games/movies during the day then at night it pulls out into a full or queen-size bed, for an adult, so it would need to be a decent size couch or a twin / full size bed, it would also need to have a small closet and storage. Because we have an adult son who is severely disabled and he loves camping and goes with us everywhere but he needs his own area, he is able to climb onto a bunk and he would like to have an area for his television and a small closet. We have been looking for a couple of years for such a setup.

On the bathroom door, I don't think it can open as you suggested because it is the master bath. Switching the door opening would make it impossible to go into it from the master bedroom. No?

RVBlogger well maybe something around the 30ft range I am seeing more companies come out with 1/2 ton towable 5th wheels I’d be interested in bunkhouse versions of this for sure. Thanks.
Hi Michael, We just do quick overviews and then if someone sees an RV they like they can go to Matt's RV Reviews (for example) and see an in depth review or go to the manufacturer website and investigate further. Most people like our quick overviews so they can get ideas of what they like. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan

We just got the Sierra 3220RL (or Sandpiper 3220RL). HIGHLY recommend. I think it's the best layout and the plus side, it's shorter! County parks...here we come!
Hi Whocares, We do the same thing when we watch RU-vid videos. But if you could just count to 10 before fast forwarding we would really appreciate it! Lol! Mike
Went to the RV dealer today b/c I really was interested in the Keystone Hideout 320MBDS. I was very disappointed in the quality of the rig. The layout was great and the bunkroom a good idea but there was no space for bags or a TV in that mid bunk. The overall finish looks nice but it feels extremely cheap, which it's not. I was interested and got a price of $47K, in the SF Bay area, and they wouldn't come off that price due to "pan dem ic" pricing. I'd say it's worth a solid $30k-$34K but not $47K. Comparing it to the Grand Design Reflection and Forest River Flagstaff 5th wheels is laughable. So when you see that light cover fall down, they really are put together like that, shoddily at best.
Hi Chad, Prices are at ALL TIME HIGHS right now due to the pandemic. Once the Wuhan Virus is over and people feel safe flying and cruising again prices will drop like a rock. Thanks for watching! Mike

The only quality products these days: Luxe, Riverstone, Cedar Creek, DRV. Now look for the reviews : Granddesigns have had major roof issues due to lack of glue for the past few years, and leaks being reported. Jayco are making products that are vermin friendly and not sealed underbelly in any of their products, and cutting corners on their structural integrity. Lance many are reporting leaks with terrible customer service. Northwood same issue lack of gluing their roofs etc… These mediocre manufacturers are pumping out crap and these dealerships are not properly doing PDI. I know from experience and i research reviews constantly

Hi Oxygen Lover, Adults can fit in them but like I said in my other comment to you the bunks have weight limits. So - be sure to check that out before you buy if adults will be sleeping in the bunks. Thanks again! Mike
@@RVBlogger , thanks for replying! I just happened to get up out of bed & saw this. Sorry for the double question - last night, I was up late, scrolling through a lot of RV videos, & I wasn’t sure if you would notice my comments. I do have another question - is there a company that will customize a travel trailer? I want a medium/small travel trailer with these features : 1) Murphy or sofa bed, 2) bump-out or slide-out section with a large U-shaped dinette that also converts to a bed, which faces the TV, and 3) twin or double size bunk beds, for my two college age sons, who are both almost 6 feet tall, with enough head room to read in bed & light switches for each bunk. I would also want the bunk bed area to have a separation for privacy, like a curtain or pocket door. For the kitchen, I would want a regular oven, 3-burner stove, fridge that’s not too small, lots of counter space, deep sink & sprayer. I also need a ton of storage space in every room, for clothes, shoes, books, kitchen appliances & more. We also need a washer/dryer. I also want windows that can be opened all the way, that also lock securely at night. For color, I prefer cream colors and rich reddish brown tones - I like a more elegant style. I’m hoping to find all those features, in the price range of $16k to $18k. Is there a travel trailer that fits that description?
Hi Stephanie, FYI - The camera person is Susan. It's just me and her. Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate it because it helps us to grow and make better videos. We don't show inside of cabinets on purpose. We try to keep our videos on point and showing the inside of a dark cabinet would make the videos too long and possibly boring. Plus most folks know what the inside of a closet or cabinet looks like. But if we get more comments like yours we will have to consider showing them. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan Have you subscribed to our RU-vid channel yet? If not we sure hope you will click below to subscribe! Thanks! goto.rvblogger.com/RU-vidChannel?sub_confirmation=1
The video and format are just fine! They are trying to give an overview of 7 different RV's in just enough time to not bore us with showing every single feature. Now, if there's a specific model that you found interesting, you can just research that one and go a little more in depth of the bells and whistles. Otherwise this video would probably be a couple hours long.
I was so excited, then so disappointed when you said there is as a bunkhouse in the Montana 377FL, but it's a loft, NOT a bunkhouse!!! My hopes went down the drain...
@@RVBlogger don't worry! I will eventually find what we're looking for. Seems it doesn't exist yet and sadly, it should be something the RV builders should have taught about for a while since more of us are retiring and will be making the full time transition in the next few years.
A bunkhouse is a full bunk bedroom in the back of the RV. A middle bunk room is in the middle of the RV not a bunk house. Your video is misleading stating "bunkhouse" when it really is a mix of bunkhouse and middle bunk rooms. Just thought I might let you know.
Hi Mike, So what is a bunk room in the middle of an RV called? I've only ever heard it called a bunkhouse. Why does it matter if it's on the end or in the middle? It's still a room with bunks which seems to me is the definition of a bunkhouse. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan Have you subscribed to our RU-vid channel yet? If not we sure hope you will click below and subscribe! Thanks! goto.rvblogger.com/RU-vidChannel?sub_confirmation=1
Hi Joseph, So - Here's the deal. We can only shoot the 5th wheels that are at the RV shows while we are there making videos. And not every 5th wheel manufacturer is there and if they are they don't always bring every model in their line up. No one pays us for our videos so it's just our opinion of what we see. If you have an RV or 5th wheel you would like to mention in the comments by all means please do! We certainly aren't perfect and we welcome all opinions and suggestions. Viewer suggestions add to the conversation and many viewers make some awesome suggestions. We even use their suggestions to make videos sometimes. So rather than call our video a biased crock of crap why not let everyone know why you like the Grand Design Solitude so much. Do you own one? What do you like about it? Thanks for watching and we welcome your opinions here. Just be cool man. Thanks, Mike and Susan
