Thanks. This is one of the best videos I have watched based on campaign metrics! Brief, clear, concise and spoke slowly for newbies like myself to follow and understand! I cannot understand when some experts speak so fast and expect you to follow them when you are still learning...I have also subscribed which I don't do often.
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words. I've tried to slow down a bit and make sure things are as easy to understand as possible. I'm also working on a free Google Ads course that will cover everything from start to finish, because it's a difficult channel to use.
I'm trying to specifically target youtube videos with google adwords and I haven't been able to get any views on my ads even though I have a $15 daily budget and I correctly (I think) entered in the URL's for said videos. It's been day four and I've yet to get a single view.
Fantastic info thanks for doing the video. I'm just starting out but have watched a lot of getting started with Google ads and yours is great. Thanks for your help.
thanks for your great tutorial video, which is clear and easy to understand. May I know when you select manual CPC and select keywords by keyword planner, at 11:21 you suggested to start with $4-$5 for the bidding cost, may I know the methodology behind, does it mean leverage the lowest cost (low range) and can apply it to all keywords? thanks for your expertise
hey! great information. one question. how to set conversion in our ad, because the ad leads to landing page and from there to the target website where we expect customer to purchase. So, how to set conversion metrics and then CPA to enhance our ad quality? thanks
Hi.Should I start use google ads to create a campaign if my channel is new(2 months) and I have only 5 videos uploaded?Or I should wait some time befor doing this?..
You may see better performance with a more established brand, but there's no issue with starting campaigns early on. One positive with starting advertisements early is you can learn from your campaigns and keep improving them in the future. I would just recommend starting with a smaller budget and increasing as you see better performance.
Hi thanks for detail video. My question is t for eg. keyword- online marketing CPC is 500$ and my daily budget is 100$ / 3000$ a month now, do my ad will show on above keyword or my daily budget will exhaust when someone single click on online marketing ?
Same I've just spent £65 for 70 clicks, 800 impression and sold an item for £17.99...that item made me £4.40. So I'm literally £60.60p down. Had the add running for like hour and half and had to shut it down.
Really like your videos! Keep 'm coning :). I have a question about extensions... I hope it's ok if I put it here: so im duplicating all my extensions and in one of each clicking the tick "mobile", so that I have an equal chance for the same extextension to show on desktop and Mobile... What do you think about this? Will it work?
I had a question for the community on here. Even after a year plus with ad's, I still notice some IG Ads with un-clickable profile usernames. You will just see the photo and it has a call to action button. The IG profile is un-clickable or accessible. I do not want my ads to step up like this, so does anyone have information? I saw the question was posted on FB help section, but not a good answer. Thanks.
Hey SurfSideppc, I have a question if you can answer it, ok so we have our google analytic goals in Ad-Words as conversions, we have correctly linked GA & imported these goals quite a while ago (like months ago). Recently we've been getting goals on our Google Analytics account but nothing on our adwords account where it is connected with? What is causing this to happen? Any Ideas?
Thank you, And bidding/conversions are definitely the most frequent AdWords questions we get so I try to clarify, I'm glad I did it successfully this time!
Hi, one more question, would appreciate if you can answer. I chose a few keywords in google keyword planner, those were all exact match, and I got a forecast for them, then I created a campaign with these chosen keywords and run that campaign but got no result although I set my max cpc as per that plan and daily budget also as per that plan. Can you tell why this could happen?
I looked at your courses and I am sure you'll have some great tips but what if I am selling a kindle book where my profit is only $3.50/book. Still practical to take your Adwords course given such a slim profit margin?
Have you considered instead using Google Adwords to build up an email list (rather than directly promoting your Kindle eBook) so that you can keep promoting over and over again ... rather than having someone click once and then if they don't buy your eBook you've lost them? Your initial customer acquisition cost might be higher, but then you can profit in the mid/long-term!
For target CPA, if your optimizing and you get your target CPA to a good spot, how does that bypass the CPC amount that’s determined by the level of competition? are you able to get a target CPA that’s lower evenly regardless of the CPC and level of competition?
You're only going to be able to get your CPA to a certain point depending on the level of competition. I worked with a client recently that the CPA started at $70/conversion, which was profitable for them, but I couldn't get it below about $50/conversion over the course of each month because CPCs were rising across the board for their product. That's when it could be worthwhile to focus on overall website conversion rates (Landing page optimization, User Experience) and focus on Search Engine Optimization for additional conversions. That can be difficult though depending on resources available.
When you're looking at numbers for CPC, are you trying to get on the first place or else it's not worth it? Perhaps I'm confusing the bid price with something else?
I focus on leads/sales and don't worry too much about the first position. For some industries it can be more important to be in the top position, but I generally just try to get the most leads at the lowest cost.
No, ad extensions should improve your overall campaign performance and help decrease your cost per conversion. There's no downside to using ad extensions.
Thanks a lot for this great video! I have been actively using Google Ads for promoting my business and I intentionally keep ignoring Target CPA / ROAS. The reason for this is because my customers, that actually come and consume my product, don't actually complete a form or something like that. What I've noticed is that the ones that complete a form almost never come to consultations. Is there a way I could define a conversion, via Tag Manager, to count the time spent on the website? In that matter I would define a conversion as someone who spent over a minute on the website. Thanks in advance for your response!
Not sure if you ever found and answer to this, but it's definitely possible. What I'd do is firstly ensure that you are tracking goals in Google Analytics and then passing them back to Google Ads (so you need to have Google Ads and Google Analytics linking configured). From there, create a goal in Google Analytics using the standard 'duration' type of whatever your target duration is, e.g. 1 minute. Next, import this goal into Google Ads using Tools/Conversions in your Google Ads interface. If you complete this correctly, you will then be able to optimize for conversions in Google Ads using that duration-based goal. I hope that helps!
I have a small question when my adds are displaying if my opponent (whose adds are also running at same time with my adds)is repeatedly clicking for opening my adds several times so is this also the reason why my money is debiting so fast and sometimes I put money and after 20 minutes it becomes 0 is there any way to protect from all such miss use things?
We all know the lymeric about the business man who did not advertise his business now he is advertising his going out of business sell...i do not want to be like that. Thanks for sharing.
Good question, I'm honestly not positive if there is a difference but I always use Phrase Match negative keywords. Google AdWords might treat broad match negative keywords like Phrase Match. Here's an article I found that's probably better than my answer: www.ppchero.com/defining-negative-keyword-match-types/
I cannot get the CPA bidding working. it simply does not serve. I have about 20 conversions in 30 days and spent quite a bit. Where do I find more info on this?
I can't see any of that stuff in the new google interface. How do you make it show you that interface. Its like they made it for 2 year olds . Is it because I'm seeing the so-called "Smart interface" ?
I would recommend contacting Google directly about migrating your account to the full version of Google Ads. You can contact them here: support.google.com/google-ads/gethelp?visit_id=637279986387811330-1539107516&hl=en&rd=2.
bro have you ever seen a bidding focus have the option for HIGH QUALITY TRAFFIC ??!! I watched quite a few videos on RU-vid about Google Ads before even making an account but when I got signed up, the layout of the dashboard didn't look like any of the videos I had seen, there were less steps that it took to make an ad and they were all direct and to the point steps for example: one thing I remember distinctively cause I watched a lot of videos and specifically was curious about the Bidding Focus and what each one means but when I was making my first account it was already preselected bidding focus of HIGH QUALITY TRAFFIC which I never heard of or seen anywhere!! Unfortunately I got confused and thought I was doing something wrong and there was an icon at the top by the TOOLS icon that said Switch to Standard Mode which I clicked and then it was the layout like the ones I had always seen in every video and the icon to switch back completely disappeared!! I get the vibe that I had accidentally stumbled upon a "secret" menu for developers and marketers that us common folk aren't supposed to see and now it is gone forever :( does any of this sound like something you heard of or recognize cause if not I can confirm google is holding out on us !!
Nope. There are just two different versions. There's the simplfied one and the complex one. The one you see on the videos offers you the ability to control way more The other option the simple I don't recommend. It's just there so people can set something up quickly and then let Google do most of the work. It's better for you to have control.
@@restoreshoemanity5838 I can't remember. I honestly wouldn't. But I'd imagine there's something like switch to simple mode or something like that in the same place you found the switch to standard mode button.
In my most recent Google Ads Tutorial for 2019, I went over how to set-up your account so you get the full Google Ads version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zLeduV-d7lc.html. For some reason, Google Ads automatically shows the Google Ads Express version when people sign-up for their account, which might be the screen you keep seeing.
You have to set them up as Broad Match and add the '+' in front of each word that must appear in the search query. Since I've been using AdWords, they've never had an option to switch your keywords to Modified Broad Match, but I usually follow this tutorial to do it in bulk if you have a lot of keywords: www.tmblast.com/blog/ppc/bmm-excel-formula/
I'm guessing that you also want some of your chosen keywords to match or line up with the seo of your website. Also, it seems that a lot of these videos about google ads are geared towards online stores. How much differently would you run an ad campaign for a service based business?
I'm not familiar with using RDP and managing Google AdWords campaigns. Did that lead to your suspension? It can be difficult for me to answer questions about suspensions so I would try contacting them directly if you aren't sure why you got suspended.
ad words is no joke. how long would you say it takes to learn where you are a pro at it . 6 mos 12 months what would you charge a client to run their ad words campaigns . 500 a month 1000 a month or more . is there a decent place to out source it
It takes about 3-6 months to learn it and it helps to have different clients in different verticals. You might learn a ton promoting an eCommerce business but it's very different from promoting an Insurance business. I was lucky to work at an Agency for 3 years so now I just have to keep up with all the new updates, which is another challenge.
Hi, I've been trying and trying, and I'm missing something. Would you be willing to allow me to pay you for some time over the phone? Thanks in advance.
I can not see the opportunity for "Search Termes" in the Keywords for my video campaigns. Do you have any idea, what I can do? I have spent more than 2 hours, but is nowhere shown.
standard delivery method tires to show your ads entire day while accelerated will try to show your ad as often as possible till your daily budget is expired. please let me know if you are looking for an account manager. thank you!!
Ad group level negative keywords can help with that and using modified broad match keywords. If you have three Ad Groups: 1. Basketball Sneakers 2. Tennis Sneakers 3. Running Sneakers, you can add negative keywords to each of the Ad Groups to make sure that there is no competition. For example, add Tennis and Running as negative keywords to the Basketball Sneakers Ad Group, etc.
Hi Surfside, I have a question on your reply about adding negatives. If I add Tennis to the basket and running ad groups as a broad match negative do I run the risk of knocking out all ads as it would take it as a synonym for basket and running? Is it better to do exact or phrase matches?
How do I make sure I get ONLY clicks from ONLY local people? Say I don't want anybody seeing my ads if they live more than 100 miles radius of our business.
I will have a Google Ads Geofencing video out tomorrow that will answer this question. I went over Location Targeting more here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FOOzuFkSwDs.html. You can set Radius Targeting through your location targeting and then make sure when you go to your campaign Settings > Locations and then click on Location Options and make sure you are only targeting people In Your Targeted Location.
why Neil Patel has more audience than surfside PPC because it's easy for lazy people to consume 1-hour content full of bullshit titled "how to win 1000$ with ranking local SEO " than 10-minute content that requires you to use your mind named "how to do SEO for beginners"
