My first time going for Umrah, I was so put off by all the pushing. Now I want to go back eventually for Hajj but I'm almost afraid. All the pushing really frightened me!
First time I went on Hajj/Umrah 30 years ago - pushing has always happened. It's sad, in fact disgusting. I once saw a bunch of tall men push this short, elderly woman out of the way like she was a football - the woman fell over, people trampled on her, and the men laughed and gave each other high fives. We will not change these idiots and just be mentally prepared for it 😔😔😔
One more tip from me since I just went last month alhamdulillah. Take ear plugs if you’re planning on doing tawaf on the main floor. The torpedo groups that push you around also chant really loudly which makes you lose focus on your own duas. The earplugs help block out their very loud chants. If you’re on the first floor then thankfully no chanting and pushing. You just have to watch out for the wheel chairs zipping around you.
omg the best decision i made was plugging in my headphones and listening to Quran during the Sa'i because it really helped block out the loud chanting! I was in my own world even with everything going on around me :)
I understand the thing with the pushing and ive heard that A LOT but having done my first umrah now i must say that I see that everybody deals differently with being in a crowd and everyone has a different level of anxiety and different social norms. Anywhere else on this planet when so many people come together you would literally have a mass panic breaking out and people stepping over each other, trampling people etc. Mashaallah our Ummah is so unique and you feel so blessed seeing everyone at least TRYING to take care of everybody and in the same time saving themselves. So i feel like the pushing is so normal and it didnt seem to bother me a lot since i tried to understand thatot everyone has the same manners and etiquettes
MashaAllah, excellent video sister. Alhumdulillah I recently returned from my Umrah and you have described exactly what one would experience during their Umrah. May Allah grant all believers the opportunity to visit the Holy sites of Makkah and Madinah.
Thanks so much for making videos & blogs about DIY Umrah. We just completed our first DIY umrah thanks to your videos & blogs. We stayed in Jabal Omar per your recommendation & we couldn’t agree more about the area being much more peaceful & less chaotic than hotels in the clock tower area

It’s true that every umrah gives you another experience. I tell myself every time to take my time, especially on safa and marwa. But somehow it’s still not on the pace I would like it to be due to the crowd and security telling others to make space. What I noticed last summer is that men are not very aware of their surroundings in sa’ee and as a woman alone standing waiting for water when you are thirsty is a wait you can’t win. I wish the men would be more aware of their strength. I am not a pusher so I wait patiently. Another thing I noticed is their ihraam, the way they throw it over their shoulder not realising how long it is 😂
Thanks for video. I actually experienced other view with this video. I went umrah and hajj before but I didn’t think these before. And one question how did you text under your video like this video? Allah protect you my sister.
Alhamdulillah for my first umrah, i went during the most OFF times of the year and literally right before fajr. It was still a bit crowded though. I am in the school of thought that … if something makes you go absolutely crazy, it may be better to let things go…so when i saw people trampling to touch the blackstone, i immediately was put off and felt more than fine with not going near it. Its okay if you dont! Pls dont risk your decorum and izzat for a small sunnah 😭
I'm going in a couple days and have learned a lot. Thank you for all your hard work!! Question for you. The rest of the world is boycotting certain brands, is the same happening in and around Mecca? Have you noticed any changes or is purchasing from those stores taking place as normal. Thanks again
I just got back from my trip and I have a couple pro tips. Maybe youve shared this with your veiwers. If you have not, here they are. Tip 1 is book your Rowda appointment closest to Fajr. I got to spend 2 full hours there (rather than 10 minutes) and got to pray fajr prayers. Second. Use the lowest level of the bathroom and the bathrooms furthest away from the entrance those are the cleanest and driest bathrooms. Oh and don't forget toilet paper!
I want to thank you so much for your videos. It's really helped me with my first umrah which I completed a few days ago. Another couple things I wanted to mentioned that I learned is to take your own unscented products including soap/ miswak/ hand sanitizer etc so you're not looking for them when you need it the most. A mask is best I found as there are so many people who are sick too. The hotel I booked was Emaar Al Kalil. About 200 SAR and just an 11 minute walk straight up towards gate 79. ❤ I think I saw you there or maybe it was someone who looked exactly like you in the mataf area. Blessings and greets from Canada
@@Muslimtravelgirl Half Greek half Bulgarian married to a Muslim. HAD to convert because you were neither Jew nor Christian. Women belonging to these two doctrines DO NOT have to convert. Secondly do you know what contract you did with your Muslim husband? "Nikah نكاح contract" do you know the meaning of نكاح?
Jazak Allahu khairan for all your helpful videos sister. Please can you give me a link to where I can check to find out if I would need a covid19 vaccine to travel from UK to do umrah in Ramadan. You did mention in your previous video it's not necessary no more. But I want to be sure they haven't updated that rule or anything.
There is no need for this for the past 3 yrs. You can check the Saudi tourism site or the UK government site. I doubt people even remember this anymore.
Soon I am going for umrah and it will be my first one. As a born muslim Albumdolillah, I would like to request you to gain more knowledge about the segregation part. As you told that you don't understand if it's haram for a men and women to be together untill and unless it's your father husband son or brother than how come in such a holy place people stick together while tawaf. I can simply explain this to you. There every one focus is only on Kaba Shareef. 8:45 But one should always remember that don't panic or make area crowded just to go near kaba. If it's possible and you are not touching anyone that you should grab the opportunity to go near. But if it's crowded than you should move away from crowd and make tawaf. As we are young and can walk on a bigger circle. I don't know whether I am able to explain or not. But this is what I have learned untill now. And this is how we can make respect to that place. May Allah forgive us and accept our umrah and haj.
May Allah accept all your prayers and good deeds. Elena talking about starbucks made me write this comment, do not forget you brothers and sisters in Palestine, least we can do is boycotting brands supporting the gen0 cide, especially brands mentioned by BDS.
btw i have to go to ihram on the plane to saudi then go do my umrah straight away. can using the toilet break your state of ihram since it will be a long flight and journey to haram
As’salam O Alaikum. Just to add to this, you could shower and even change the Ihram garments if needed. Only thing to avoid is perfumes or perfumed toiletry during the time you are in the state of Ihram. Hope this helps.
@@sagitarianme after the niyat of ahram if i reached my hotel in night and i want to sleep and then take shower in morning for freshness is it break my ahram niyat?
Assalamu Aleykum sister I am a new convert I don’t know many things about Umrah and Hajj . It’s possible for a Muslima to go non accompanied in Mekka ? JazakAllah Khairan 🙌🏼☪️🕋🧕🏻🌸
Salam sister hope you are well, any healthy eating places in Mecca and Medina? So far I have come across lots of unhealthy eating places and I’m planning to go in 6 months. Also what is the average food price over there In both Mecca and Medina? and are there any shops serving organic food like eggs, milk and bread? Assalamou alaikum😊
Salams - I’m going in the next few days please advise - when I put on Hiram in the plane (female) can I go to my hotel in Makkah shower rest and then go for umra? Some say you can’t remove your clothes- or shower or change your clothes once you make the umra niyah? Please advise - thanks
As’salam O Alaikum sister. Just to add to this, Ihram for women is her normal modest clothing that covers her. Yes you can change clothes, take shower, rest before you go to haram to complete your Umrah. Only need to avoid using perfume or perfumed toiletries. When we go for Umrah, I find it more convenient to perform my Umrah straight away upon reaching Makkah and then take my wife and children after Isha prayer which is comparatively quiet time so I could help her and look after children. Hope this helps.
@@sagitarianme after niyat of ahram in abaya ariving in makka hotel and going for umrah can i change my scarf when i go performing umrah is it break my niyat of ahram or not?
I hope your Ummrah went well. Read about miqat. But as a visitor you cannot use the miqat closest to Mecca, that is for residence only. Inshallah you entered ihram before landing and did your ummrah straight away.
Masjid al Haram is the only place where there is no gender segregation and no straight prayer rows. True, people (believers?) forget good manners, basic politeness.
@@Muslimtravelgirl I already think so maybe it's prohibited but it's my mom say this is good carry this thank you so much dear I subscribe your channel and definitely watch videos today Inshaa Allah ❤️❤️
