Wow I didn't realize these many types of stitches were available, thanks for sharing, hey love the music, could you inform me of whom the artist is, thanks for sharing this video.
@@themazeleather Thanks a bunch for the reply, sharing your ideas on new creative stitches & this awesome music & for informing me of those artist too.
Melody England I may be wrong, but I believe the third piece of music is an adapted instrumental version of “That’s The Way”, by Led Zeppelin. If it isn’t, it sure wants to be.
@@themazeleather Ethan, really enjoyed the video and the the music. You should check out Justin Johnsons' music here on You Tube. I think you will really like him. Now, back to leather...LOL The Butt stitch is confusing to me, I just can't seem to get my head wrapped around it. Are you actually going between the layers of leather?
This will be very helpful in choosing what I'm needing to do. I'm on a mission to build my own office chair and I'm learning everything I can on leather and vinyl stitching techniques. Thank you for this.
Just getting into some leather work (my grandfather was a saddler up Tamworth way, pre-Hiscocks, so I’m hoping the genes might show up!). This is a great little stitch guide!
Amazing video! I'm having trouble stiching by hand, after I punch the holes, it seems as if my needle is to thick or something, hence is very difficult to pass the needle from one side to the other, can you recomend if is better to punch larger holes or use a smaller needle? Thank you so much for your help!
Thank you for providing this quick demonstration. I have needed a quick way to knot my thread and these seem the best I’ve seen. I wonder whether flaming the ends is recommended for newbies.
Oh damn, you included a french seam. Its strong but takes yards of thread, hands of steel and 3x the mount of time. Definitely only want to use a sewing machine for that.
Looking to see if the type stitch on a purse inherited from my Grandmother is included. It’s like the box stitch with a braid running down the center of the joint.
Great GEE-tar. Is the cross stitch like a corset stitch & is it stronger than a baseball stitch? Trying to sew a boot hard toe separation back to the rear vamp.
thank you for showing us your beautiful craftsmanship! how would you stitch and stretch around hard oval object, like axe handle please? best of luck !
@@themazeleather it souds great, thanks! if i like to make a collar around axe handle, should i wet the leather or not, before stitching? ( to make it more tight ) thanks and keep working!
I'm an absolute newbie with this. I have a vision in my head to make with suede. What tool do you use to make the wholes & what thread are you using, please? Signed... a very enthusiastic crafter.
@@themazeleather Thank you so much for your speedy response. I've been looking for a pouch necklace for such a long time. Couldn't find anything I fancied so decided to give designing one a while myself. Ive subscribed to your channel so I'll keep an eye out for you new posting. BTW when I first started listening to the track behind this post I thought it was these,,,, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vWLJeqLPfSU.html
U forgot one, I use this one quite a lot, it's called the BACK STITCH, since I believe with all U have shown U also know how, why didn't you? GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
The BOX STITCH demonstration is incorrect and a fake. Shame on you Maze Leather! Guys, find a better video. Box stitch should use two needles, one at each end of the same thread. Put them straight through the first and second holes respectively, starting with both on the same side. Then pass the first needle back to the other side though the holes of the second needle. The needles are on opposite sides and you can pull the threads tight. Then pass the second needle straight through new holes to the opposite side, and the first needle back through those same holes the second needle just went through. Pull the threads tight again. Repeat, pulling tight each time the needles are on opposite sides. If you try to follow the video demo you will see it is impossible the way it is done there. Slow it down completely and you can see where the cuts were made. Shameful. SO shameful.
Thanks for replying back, the stiches are great ideas, love trying new things or new ideas, also thanks for informing me of the artist of the music here, all are simply awesome, love it, thanks.
Hola, por favor le quiero pedir que me ayude con esto. Estoy usando hilo de nylon bonderizado, y quisiera que me oriente si este tipo requiere aplicarle cera para que no se enrede y refuerce su dureza? Gracias
Keep coming back for the music. I know others have asked, would you be willing to provide a track list either in the description or in a pinned comment, please?
Much needed demonstration, I will definitely attempt these various stitches. This opens up far more design options for me , thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge 🙏🏼
Great video...just curious...couldn't I do the last one without the extra piece of white leather? Just sew the 2 red leather flaps down with a saddle stitch?
Great video! Never knew some of those stitches existed. If I may, the only thing I would criticize (constructively) is the box stitch, it more about the prepping of your edges(I was taught to bevel the flesh side at 45 degree angle as well as punching the hole through at 45 degrees so the edges meet up perfectly at a miter). Still an awesome tutorial! Thank you!
Thank you! I was looking for something neat and tidy for stitching thimbles and found a whole lot more. I'll be sure to add it to a playlist for the future!
Oh it did lol. I was set on a baseball stitch and ended up using a cross stitch. The box stitch is next for a "out of the pocket" organizer im cooking up for cigarettes, zippo, slidewinder knife, phone and olight flashlight
@@thisiscookie1571 Thanks a lot for you advice i also watched the way in another channel but i was worried about the names of tools.you told me so thanks
Good content, but absolutely horrible video: the guy used thread of essentially the same color as the leather, and the camera is focused on the mat on the background for three-quarters of the video. Good content wasted with abysmal implementation.
Please a voice over would really be beneficial right now. Its not really easy to see what ypu are doing if you are going to put english. Words please make them large and easy to see so many people use black letters on black back grounds who can see that ? You always do wounderful work on your vedios and i want to benefit from you knowledge ! :)
