DonutGaming0 so basically what I’ve done is implement the spin the wheel system crossed with the loyalty points system basically the wheel spins and has punishments tell embarrassing stories alt f4 out of game that type of stuff viewers love and increased my engagement by 2 fold
Midgeworth_ hope you get a chance to swing by. I have commands set up, triggerfyre gifs! And overall very engaging stuff. A lot of it I have learned from you so thanks for the knowledge
Ngl bro when I was first streaming I was at 20 followers I watch some of your tips 10 months ago and put my twist to it and now have 8k followers on twitch with a 25+ viewers average. Your tips are very useful would recommend to new streamers
Been trying to get better at streaming for almost 10 months now. Found this channel recently and have been applying a lot of your recommendations in recent streams. Haven't seen much improvement yet but I'm having more fun with it so thank you.
My biggest problem is to me my streams seem dull at times when I watch my vods gonna work on some of this stuff hopefully it helps. Thanks for you vids alot of your vids have helped me out before!!
WHAM. I try to keep my stream engaging with techniques like this. I've been using a soundboard, WEBM overlays, and zoom/flip camera (on my 3-button USB foot pedal!) for a while now. I've tried using music like you say, but I think it needs more work. Another great vid, thanks Eljay. :D
Ya know I was really nervous about what you'd think about this video hahaha I was like, "Man Dave, watches Nutty... I hope this video is all okay because if it isn't he will know!" Glad you're smashing it, it's hard to find new fresh ways to keep adding to streams, hey! Please accept this beautiful handcrafted diamond #100%Crew Badge as well!
Very cool, thank you! Immediately implemented the hotkey-zoom-cam thing, and people enjoyed it! Next up is the calculation overlay thing, I really like that. I imagine it'll take me a bit to figure out, but it should be well worth it. Thanks for being you!
WHAM, finally built my pc and after acting and voice acting and other various entertainment ventures I am ready to mix acting and video games for entertaining folks from home! Been watching your videos over the last few months trying to learn as much as possible. Looking forward to growing with everyone in the community!
WHAM! Seriously though, thank you for these videos. I've watched every single streamer tip video you've made and I'm STILL learning new things. Your advice is definitely helping me grow slowly, but steadily! I was actually very curious about the BetterTTV stuff so I appreciate you clearing that up and educating us on that. I felt so out of loop when people typed those emotes but I was too afraid to ask about it lol. I think using the voice changer would be really fun but it's a real bummer it's locked behind a small paywall. I have little to no disposable income so I'm unable to afford it for the mean time, but maybe in the future I can look into it again! I think primarily I'd like to invest in a Goxlr and a stream deck though, because those sound effects and music seem like a great feature to add. It's tough only working with 1 1/2 monitors and having to manually implement things like music on queue to help create a tone or mood.
It’s tough to implement everything especially with technical limitations! You’ve got this though, just do what you can! WHAM! Heck yeah! Enjoy this Handcrafted, beautiful diamond #100%crew badge! :)
Honestly I had this same idea of adding custom overlays! But then you come along and prove me that it’s totally worth getting. I appreciate all the advice you give to us starting streamers! You are in fact a legend
#earlygang I swear your in my head now, I just automatically hop onto RU-vid around this time, never really sure why and right on cue, you pop up! Thanks as always!
WHAM! Your vids are really helping out this older streamer get on top of Twitch! Thanks for the tips man. I'm definitely going to give some of these a go. Love the idea of the overlays and punch ins :D
@@StreamScheme haha, thanks man, I shall wear it with pride. If you have a mo, do pop over to my twitch channel (thevideogmr) and lemme know what you think. It’s getting there, needs just a few more fun elements like in the video.
Wham. Thanks for another great video. I sit down once a week and try to think of ways to polish my stream and this video has been a nudge in the right direction.
WAM, this helped me so so SOOOOOOOO much, i have already spent time adding sound effects and doing the zoom in stuff you talked about. wish i was good enough for the editing the rain bit but ya kinda lost me there, but you did say i needed experience which I am lacking. Also thanks for the betterttv bit too cause i thought i had it set up right, turns out i didn't As always I love your videos and you got AMAZING vibes. I hope you are having an amazing day, and thanks for helping us!!!!!
Thanks for the lovely words! I am really glad to hear you got a lot of it set up! WHAM! Heck yeah! Enjoy this Handcrafted, beautiful diamond #100%crew badge! :)
WHAM! I'll definitely have to play around with these techniques and see is I can get them to work. They absolutely add til the scene to emphasize what's going on! Thanks again as always Eljay!
WHAM!! dude that was so good!! i love how you added alternatives in post-production! i use premiere for my editing projects so i was relieved to see you use it for effects!! very naice!
I’m definitely gonna implement some of this in my streams, also thanks so much for the old school overlay package that you’ve designed, my chat loved it and so did I!!
I swear I learn so much from your videos. People keep asking me how I have such an engaging chat and how I've grown so well. Its because i take everything from these videos and apply them
Say that you have really been a lifesaver to me. Started a new stream is really uncharted territory for me. And it makes me feel like I have a friend I can talk to or that can give me sound advice. You’re also pretty motivating. So thank you
Also love what you say about music. Every track I use is specifically for my stream, I go through the various library’s I’m in, and put them into 4 playlists, starting, intro chat, brb, my end screen is the same track every time.
Thank you so much Eljay! I've been watching you for quite a while now and every video has been super helpful so far! I'm constantly trying to improve across different areas, but I do think sound/mic has always been one of the weaknesses in my streams (of course besides many other things I could improve upon), but surely I'll get started with these tips.
WHAM! Your videos are always so helpful, and this one introduced me to a lot of new concepts and opened the door of ideas I thought were way out of reach for me. Thank you again and again and again.
WHAM!! This is really helpful and I'm 100% gonna try some of this in my Twitch stream especially the Wasted or rain overlays. I should be able to use Touch Portal to get these working. Thanks!
Wham! Thank you for the vids you make, I’m catching up on them and I think I have a good looking stream, just gotta work on remembering to keep talking in an engaging way, and not just babbling on and on 😂 it’s easier when there is at least 1 person in chat 😅
WHAM~! I've been listening to your videos in the background while I am at work for the past couple of days to help me when I get home and stream and honestly you are making me feel a lot more confident than a lot of other streamers who post tips (I'll be nice and not name names) but some of them just come off as so rude and condescending and you come across as one of us trying to help us and I really appreciate it. Thank you for being here for us.
WHAM! Wonderful video that spurs so many new ideas. So excited to work on it and implement it into my own stream! Definitely want to see animated emotes video!😀👍
WAM Great video, I'm very new to streaming (at least taking it seriously) and your videos have been great help so far! These overlays and effects are exactly what I have been wanting to try out next. Just trying to spice things up a little for the 2 people usually watching at this point. Just for emphasis, seriously, thank you Eljay for your content. I want to drop by into one of your streams eventually to say hello, but I've been a little busy lately. Half job hunting, half learning how to be a better streamer.
Thank you for these tips! My production value is going to skyrocket! WHAM! Cannot wait for my next scheduled stream to start showing my newly added effects! BTW thank you past self for buying the voicemod lifetime package since now I have all those voicemods for my stream!
Another great video mate! Honestly you have been amazing with helping me make my streams as fun and engaging as possible! Just setting up those zooms for my stream now! Just wanna say thanks for being such an inspiration!
Thanks for this man! I have a fairly interactive stream but chat isn't very busy so they don't get used much but I do have sounds, green screen, ability to change the lights etc. The voice mod is a great touch!
Thank you so much for making videos like this! I want to get better with things like this and you make it clear and inspiring! Thank you, thank you and thank you! I'm so excited to work on improving my live content!
@@StreamScheme I was thinking of taking some ideas from the cartoon Chowder, bc it has great fruit related traditions, sound effects, and art design I want to try to implement with my crew video editing abilities.
WHAM this is one of your best videos yet! This is super, super helpful and I didn't even know I could do some of these things before this video! Thank you :))
WHAM! Bro, Eljay, I love all of your vids but this has surpassed all of them!!! Splendid job my friend. This is exactly what I needed. I hope there is more to come. Maybe tutorials on how to do more of these? Or maybe on stream one day we cam dive deep into them? Thanks again!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words, Jamie! :) I'll keep it in mind, the big thing is whether the video performs well, if it does then I can make more, if it doesn't get picked up much or struggles then I will have to do them sparingly! People seem to be enjoying it though so hopefully it spreads and I can do more like this! Please accept this amazing one of a kind, handcrafted diamond #100%Crew badge! WHAM!
WHAM! I was really hoping that you would have done an effect video... I saw the rain effect on yours a few weeks ago and was struggling to get it working without tanking my speeds... Thank you!!
WHAM! Solid stuff, I've definitely had fun making stream effects, like having characters attack me and my viewers have loved them :D Also, voicemod is great, I bought the full purchase for a discount, do not regret it. The music idea for different tones has given me some ideas too, thanks Eljay!
Wham!!! Your stuff had been helping me improve my stream bit by bit ! Too be my own! & really making it mine & it's soo much fun & hard work ! Thanks for all the tips & thank you for being awesome!
WHAAAAAAAAM! GREAT VIDEO. I know most of this stuff, you're videos are still very entertaining! You are becoming a MUSE. I love the more videos like this that help me tell a story. Keep up the amazing work.
WHAM!!! Another great video that helps me out tremendously! Sometimes I feel like a clown not knowing certain things but then I have to remind myself that at one point everybody who knows alot now, didn't at one point! Thanks again!!
WHAM - as always very informative and easy to follow - thank you for helping us all be next level. Btw my youtube views doubled since following your thumbnail advice so YAY thank you!!!!!!!!
TYSVM for the video, lots of great stuff. Been streaming Lego builds on twitch for a year now and really want to step up my game and have a lot more fun. I will def. try and rock some of these out on my 36Brix channel. Thanks again!
WHAM!! Love all your vids. I don't use my voice changer like I used to and I need to redo my sound board too. Gotta really differentiate myself like I used to. Thanks for the awesome tips!!
Thank you! This video has been the most helpful in a while! Especially that last part, creating videos for OBS... That bit is what i need a full video on. Im been looking for how to create alerts like the ones on Aplatypuss' channel (seem to be full sceen video files): Where do i get resourses, what programs do i need to work in, free options, formats, how do i set these files for alerts... This video alone is a great starting point thanks! Ive been unable to find a full dedicated video talking about full screen video alerts tho
WHAM! Thank you for this I am just starting out on twitch and this is going to take me awhile to do since I don't have a proper desktop setup but it will come in handy
I've been binge watching all your stuff recently. I know this is your business, your work, your job. But you should know, you're actually helping people. You deserve credit for that. Thank you. Also, WHAM!
WHAM! Yet another helpful video! I thought I was being interactive with chat just by actively talking to them. I'll definitely be adding some of this stuff to my stream!
WHAM! Great video as always! I was curious if you have any ideas about overlays for green screens. My broadcasts are so basic because I have no idea what to do for my overlay. I’m a fan of clean, sleek and simple overlays
Wham! Time to go implement each of these 1 by 1 . By Wednesday I'll have them all up and running ! (S.M.A.R.T. Goals you covered in a previous video) keep up the good work !!!
WHAM! Love your stuff! Gotta check out your streams if I wake up early enough lol! Do you have any advice for educational/entertainment streamers. I basically research things on the internet live with my students.
You have helped me out so much i stream for fun and on good days like today i really feel happy! and this has help me try to make others happy while im streaming thank u vary much I cant wait to get to streaming on twitch so fun.
WHAM! I am enjoying this and it helps me out a lot. I am wondering if you have any advice for someone that is wanting to keep testing out the twitch beta?
Wham! Thanks eljay this video couldn't have come at a better time! I've been wanting to add more sfx to my stream but it's a pain having loads of sources in the scene. I also keep getting asked to sing on stream so the auto tune on voice mod is gonna be a life saver 🤣
Wham!! This is exactly the reason I love watching your videos! I will incorporate all of this as soon as I can! I think the wasted image would be perfect for when I pancake on the ground in warzone by accidently not liking my chut! Which happens more often then I'd like to admit! Lol 😆
That Chris Pratt comment proper tickled me 😂 Thanks so much for this Eljay, all fab ideas. Certainly takes some practice for the timing on the punch ins but there’s nothing better when you nail it! One of the most interactive streamers I’ve ever seen is Andilippi. Well worth checking out if anyone is wanting to do really mad stuff using those stream deck alternatives.
First watch of the video I was thinking that these are all way too hyper for my vibe but after a minute I realised I can change them up, use a voice mod to make my voice softer and a little more ASMR-y, overlays to "give love", zoom in on my face when I'm saying something extra important about mental health. And screw it, add some DnD jokes in there too for the DnD fridays. And the music one, good lord music is so important for setting tone and stuff. Deffo need to look into adding that into stream (currently just use it to fill my gaps in conversation bc I'm concentrating, which is usually accompanied with me just repeating "concentration face" over and over) 100% crew Wham
I think that is the tough part, learning to adapt the ideas to fit your own content! Glad to see you're working hard, Catto! Keep it up! :) Please accept this beautiful handcrafted diamond #100%Crew Badge!
I love this video, it speaks my language and reaffirms what I’ve been doing. As my background is in film too (hence the cine in my name). I wanted the start of my stream to get people hyped, so my intro is a video I made that starts at the begging of time right up to where we are now, I even have a channel point that will allow a viewer to feature in this intro. I also use lumiastream to change my environment, from a thunderstorm with lighting and rain, a full on rave with smoke machine, and chat love it. The latest gimmick I’ve added is called TERROR, this is activated in channel points, and it starts a 30 minute countdown, and a random scare (spider jumping out the screen, the IT clown, etc) will happen, chat predict when it happens, and they love this. I’ve never thought of using the voice mod, definitely going to try that!
WHAM - thanks for another great video - i am going to try following your steps to get those animated overlays... wish me luck! Not to toot my own horn, but i think I have a pretty engaging stream (toot toot) - I set up BTTV a long while ago, found Nutty's videos about the voice filters about a month ago and just recently I set up a bunch of free sound alerts using commands through chatbot. Unfortunately I am super obsessed with a little indie game called For The King right now and although I love to play it and I've connected with other people who love it too - I know its not the most engaging game to play on stream... but I'm sure I'll become hooked on another game eventually!
I'm growing slowly - 3 ish months and I'm affiliate now and I'm up to 4 average viewers with my stream move from 3-10 viewers while its going. This success is due to your amazing videos and my amazing viewers! -- WHAM!
