Hi! Almost found what I was looking for in this awesome video, thanks. Do you know if there’s a way to use a data range control as a calendar table? This is, that it uses two different date columns to filter? Both columns are in the same blended table. Thanks in advance.
A date filter control applies the date range to whichever date field is selected in the widget of each visualisation. So it can apply to more than one date. But each visualisation cannot have more than one date included. Hope this helps!
@@LearnBI thanks, it helps!! Just one more question: for a table visual that has the date columns in it… is it possible to filter it in that way using a date range control?
A date range filter control will apply the date range to any visualization that has a date field included in the query. It will use that date field to filter the rows in the result.
Hi, amazing video I have a question, how to make differen color to the text in different category. If normal it be green text, but if abnormal be red text, automaticly?
You would need to use conditional formatting. Is only available for certain visualization types so check the settings of your visualization to see if it’s available.
Hi! Thanks for sharing. I have a question related to performance: I'm using Windsor AI to input my data from Google Ads and Meta Ads into Looker Studio but it makes editing reports terrific (in a bad way), is there anyway to make it run faster?
Hey there, Glad to discover your channel. I have a simple question as an sql newbie. Do you advice me to produce report by using SQL in-built reporting services or should i consider crystal reports for any better features? Thanks for taking care of this.
If you are going to be working almost exclusively with SQL then a SQL-centric reporting tool might be fine but if you’re going to be working with a variety of different data sources, you’ll probably want to consider something more versatile like Tableau, Power BI, Data Studio etc.
Hi Adam! Great video! I have another question: when I am copying a report because I want one similar for another client, something strange happens, namely that when I am changing data source in the copy it applies in the origin report as well. How can I prevent that to happen? I would be more than happy for an answer as I am working with this now. :D Happy New Year!
As far as I'm aware, that isn't the normal behaviour when duplicating reports. What I would suggest after duplicating is to delete all data sources before adding new ones.
You can’t, you need to save Excel as CSV and use the file upload connector. Or you could upload to Google Drive and save as Google Sheet and use that connector.
i want to create a comparison report of conversion rate between new users and returning users. Is this possible? I mean how many users converted from new users count and how many converted from returning user count. Please help
I’m assuming you’re talking about Google Analytics? That kind of report is possible but much too complicated to explain in the comment of a RU-vid video. I’d suggested joining a Looker Studio Facebook group and asking your question there instead.
No not in a url. There are workarounds for adding a password using parameters and filters but not directly in the url. Not sure why you’d want to do that anyway.
