I’ve purchased a few plants that are to attract hummingbirds. I just happen to have bamboo planted, and I have lots of ferns hanging on my porch so to go with the tropical plants that includes all the hummingbird plants for the tropical look..
Hmmmm, I can recommend Lonicera henryii, it's a great evergreen honeysuckle. Clematis armandii is also a good jungle foliage evergreen clematis that is pretty vigorous :D
Thanks Craig l just got one of loquat tree at wisley last week . Also l have 5 types of fatsia love the ice crystal got this week from a garden centre in the new forest.
Thanks for the video. I am always concerned about the lack of longevity on euphorbia. How long have you had yours? (we get down to low teens regularly so prob not an option for me anyway)
Why is that Euphorbia 'John Phillips' so hard to get hold of? seems like a perfect plant. Had to settle for E. wulfii. Also.. Bohemeria macrophylla- do you over winter these or do you grow them as annuals? Great video as always Craig.
I’m in Madisonville Louisiana zone nine .. recently planted cape, honeysuckle red Shrub .. it needs support and lots of trimming they said, but if you know more tips about that particular plant, that would be greatly appreciated .. l
Our loquats are very slow to grow, definitely nothing like 5ft (1ft in 2 years ish). What is likely to be wrong? The plants around them are growing. We’re coastal, south Scotland
Mine are in very rich soil that was heavy clay when we moved in. I also always empty out old compost around the base of it so it gets constantly feed 👍
@@GrowParadise we have quite different soil - loamy/sandy and alkaline. But feed added regularly and seaweed in the winter, things like cordyline and gunnera are growing well nearby.
What temperature did your garden experience and how mature were your plants? As I say, mine sailed through -5°C but every garden and plant is different.
