I’ve been reading million dollar weekend and blueprint to a billion and what he’s saying is the same. Companies that reach a billion in revenue were cash flow positive early and stayed that way until a billion in revenue. If you start a business, you need to find your customers before you build the business. In most cases, it’s better to be first to the market and then use your customer feedback to perfect your product rather than perfect your product before launching your business
I agree with the sentiment. We have a left wing government in uk, there’s only 2 choices. Left or left. But to be fair, they’re good for real estate. They create laws reducing competition and more tenant demand through migration. Terrible governments are great for real estate (bad for country and future generations)
The notion that even if you don't like social media, it is still wise to use it for marketing is foolish advice. Why should someone employ business practices that are opposed to their personal ideologies? It is exactly this line of thinking that has led to the dominance of ad-based revenue business models, engagement maximization, the attention economy, and exploitation of peoples data and privacy. Yes, engagement maximization works, but the costs of psychological manipulation has led to significantly increased self harm, anxiety, antisocial disorders, etc. in the youth. So no, if one feels like a marketing strategy is against their personal morality, they should not do it. Even if it is free.
