Today we take our new diy FT Flerken to a whole new level and size! We love modifying designs and taking you along that journey. Our crazy space craft with forward swept wings will be getting the additional of twin booms and a new tail. Our hopes is that we will have a new monster that can carry fun payloads into the air for future fun episodes. Along with our crazy build, we also have the opportunity to participate in a stem design challenge where we help High school students build and design gliders to be launched off the top of our FT Seaduck. Stay tuned to see who achieve the level of top gun status and stays in the year the longest. We love people and we love flight, today we get to combine both of our passions and also have a lot of fun along the way!

Now this just looks AWESOME!!! The twin boom really sets it off!!! The front engine configuration allows the Flerken to be so much more versatile in so many ways. Differential+rudders= foreverspin. I'd really love to see you built a Zeppelin. You could fill it with helium balloons to get some buoyancy. Of course, it will be heavier than air. But, with vectored thrust and modern motors, I'm fairly certain it would work. I'd wager that it would even glide pretty well.

How does the foam board react to vinyl ester resin? Would fiber glassing the build make a noticeable difference in the strength or would that just be a weight penalty? Great job guys.

I agree with SciGuy8. "SG-8" :). The Flerken does have a few of the build characteristics as the F-302 but would look great in any sci-fi movie/series.

@@spud4242 I kinda don't see it my friend. The Flerken has a lot of sharp dimensional edges to it, along with definitive lines in it's construction. The massive forward swept wings as well. The Thunderbird 2 has more of a chubby smooth airliner look to it. Low, fuselage hugging air/rocket intakes and quite small wings. I'm just comparing, not criticizing. I will say that if you squint your eyes a bit.....:) :). AirHammer out!!

Sort of like the Lippisch/Collins X-113. Sort of a lifting fuselage body. I'm looking at the materials you mention; trying to build up to a 2 meter Canova PC-140. Have to find a dummy 5 cylinder radial and pilot.

What you all should make is a large drone that is hollow in the middle with an opening big enough to install a high-powered rocket, if this is the right name for it, that is powered by a G-motor. Fly the drone as high up into the sky as legally allowed and then launch the rocket off from the drone.
