Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and so often in the ever-moving world of professional football, youth players fail to make the grade with a certain academy, only to forge a successful career for themselves elsewhere.
Take Ben White, for example. During his younger years, he played for Southampton but they decided to let him go. Big mistake!!
It's quite the story, really. White's time at Southampton came to an abrupt end at just 16 years old, after eight years with the club, as the academy already had a lot of players in White’s position.
