You're very proud of your city, there's an old saying that people in Melbourne sit around and talk about what's new Europe while people in Sydney sit around and talk about what's going on in Sydney
Just found your channel, find it useful, entertaining and fun. So I've liked and subscribed to enjoy your light hearted content. Thank you for creating and sharing :)
This 14 mins long clip is totally worth to watch. So full of information with details and I could feel the affection of the creator. I wrote down the points in my note for my trip to Sydney this May. Thanks 💜
i just moved to Sydney from Canberra.. thanks for this.. I didn't know about the secret garden in North Sydney, even-though I live near there... and I have been to the art gallery (eventhough I work close by) cheers again
Art Gallery of NSW is always at the top of my recommendation list to my overseas friends too. Having frequented its special exhibitions, I gradually developed my own way of art critique in the form of poems, which really helps me nowadays when I write historical fictions based on my annual trips to European museums, palaces and art galleries. Also my personal secret spot (which is not the secret garden) is the Conservatorium of Music (affiliated to the University of Sydney), which is about 10 minutes' walk from the Opera House and surrounded by the Royal Botanical Garden. I used to sneak into the Con to practise piano there after work (being an amateur pianist and paraprofessional violinist), and even dated there once. Back then I wasn't a USyd student yet, and was kicked out by security guard once, when he overheard me playing Fur Elise way too fast.
Thanks a lot for your videos , I am planing to come soon to Australia and your videos is so helpful , please don’t delete your videos ever , it’s always a help 😊♥️
Thank you for all the helping quide, Janice i'll be going to Sydney this weeks... I'll make sure to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed traveling around via your video >,
We really enjoy gardens like that too. Sounds pretty perfect for us. Libraries are fun! And a great place to work for sure. Oh wow, the Queen Victoria Building is stunning!
Very nice places, Sydney really looks like a great city. Since I love books, I really liked the library, such a huge building, very impressing.... but the secret garden would be my favorite, and I appreciate your commitment to rush before night time ! 😀
I've done the Bondi to Coogee walk! its a stunner. Luna Park, the Art gallery and Wendy's secret garden also looks really cool. Thanks for compiling this list Janice. You're right Sydney is kinda expensive so it is good to save money on activities when you can.
Wah.. Not easy to film all these alone!! Good job!! You definitely deserve a great meal after all these workouts.. Thanks for the recommendations will definitely visit them when I got a chance to Sydney someday!! 😄
I have just come across you and your guide thru Sydney and especially your eating vid and all I can say for some who lives another state Thank you, NSW tours should give you an award, I will look at stopping in Sydney and check out the sights you recommend.
So jealous that weather in Sydney awesome during the day even during winter/beginning of spring 🌈 Unlike Melbourne 😌 Awesome tips for budget travel in Sydney, Janice 👍🏻 We love QVB too, so iconic, only in Sydney 😊
Yes it really was great help. In particular the Blue Mountain trip was great. Stopping at the animal park on the tour on the way to the Blue Mountains was amazing. Thanks again Janice. I really enjoyed visiting Sydney.
I have friends Who emigrated to Perth Australia so I am lucky to be able to go and stay with them . We went to Sydney and it was every thing I thought it would be and more it did not disappoint . As always an interesting and informative video , which brought back many happy memories. Nice vlog as always
There are also some Peter Kingston sculptures between the plants on the walk from Wendy's Secret Garden to Luna Park. Lots of people miss them as they are taking in the beautiful harbour views.
We've heard about Bondi beach. I like that there's a food reward at the end of your walk. Haha The view from that last park is amazing. Glad you made it just in time. Ooh, Luna park is our kind of place. So cool.
Enjoying your videos and your lovable character. I'm headed to Australia in a couple of days and I'm so excited to see the places you've featured -- and to try the COFFEE! :)
The Queen Victoria building would be a perfect place for noon when the sun is super hot outside! I was watching A&S video about Bondi beach, I would LOVE to visit the beach!
good morning janice :) great video :) i was just wondering if you could please recommend a great cafe for coffee, thats open early morning weekends in north sydney :) we will be staying at the miller hotel nth sydney for a couple nights soon and im hoping to find somewhere that does good coffees and opens early :) also is there a shopping strip anywhere nearby? We didnt realise how isolated the hotel was when we booked and that if catching public transport in sydney cbd, circular quay, darling harbour that we would need to take a 30 min trip with two forms of transport, either train and bus or ferry and bus. hopefully it wont be too difficult and tiring for us to get around :)
I definitely agree with your recommendations! I hadn’t heard of #6 and #7 so defs something on the list when I’m bored and need something new! Thanks :))
As a disclaimer, state library is a research Library only. It contains no works of fiction. Non fiction only. Japanese gardens in auburn is good too but it’s $4 entry. Parramatta lake and parramatta park is free though.
Thank you SO SO much for this video!! I’m traveling to Sydney in 10 days and was searching for things to do that is low cost or free! It’s my first time there to Australia so this video helps a LOT!! BTW, how is the weather there? I arrive on Oct 24 and not sure what kind of clothes to bring. I am coming from HAWAII! 🤙🏼
