Tea Witches can’t come soon enough! After seeing the board for Spectacular, I was also interested and Pergola. Babylon looked really cool! Oh my pigeons, sausage sizzle, and the Lego game sound silly.I’m also interested in King of Tokyo Duel and the Lord of the Ring Duel for Middle Earth (we play 2 players a lot). So many games!
I played LotR Duel at GenCon and it’ll be an automatic buy for me. It definitely does a things different while keeping the same Duel core mechanic … and the art is A+++
@@TARAdactyl56 Absolutely!! … and try to play King of Tokyo Duel before buying. IMO, some games need to be left alone and not made into “duel” games. After demo’ing KoT:Duel at GenCon, I didn’t understand why they made it other than a quick cash grab. For me; it was very “meh.” I’ll just stick with regular KoT lol
I love watching all the board game convention hauls and seeing all the great games people come home with! My wallet and storage spaces don't like me watching them though! hahaha Absolutely love your excitement for these games when you talk about them!! 😁There are so many that interest me, but I'll just stick to listing a few. Don't know why exactly, but Pampero is a game that keeps catching my attention. Undaunted 2200: Callisto is a must have for me. Love my space games! An Age Contrived is another one that keeps catching my eye that I want to try. Tea Witches, Intarsia, and Minos: Dawn of the Bronze Age are on my watch close list! BGG says this game was released in 2022, but I don't really remember hearing about it till now, and that's.....Pagan:Fate of Roanoke. That's another must have!! So many great games!!!!
I picked up Spectacular and it’s Great!! Easy rules, fast playing, great decisions, & dice-drafting. Easily replaces Cascadia for me … also, check out “Sparks” from some of the same guys, who are dice-drafting masters. They flew in some copies & I grabbed one before the official Essen release … You and your animal assistants build up your factory & build robots. Excellent family weight game!!
Tea Witches is 2025, but got teased. I am super excited. Stella Meeple U, Alex/Meg, Jenna, Kovray, all mentioned it but only in excitement and no details. I am sure there is a moratorium before they can speak.
Tea Witches was an OP Games teaser. They said they hope to have it available at Gen Con 2025, the way Gnome Hollow was available this year. I'm sure the hype train will ramp up closer to next Gen Con. I think the box looked fantastic even if it was just a prototype!
I got Mistwind, but have yet to play it! Flying transport whales....yes please!! Not many people are talking about it for some reason, but there are sooo many games coming out at one time, I guess, so some great games get missed unfortunately!
My friend and I got Curses and Covens demo'd by the designer. My friend immediately bought it after and got it signed. That was definitely the biggest hit so far that wasn't on our radar at all.
Yessss!! I mentioned it in my Gen Con vlog and on my Instagram. 🥰👏🏻 I’m so excited as well! The reason no one is talking about it yet is because the only place to see it would have been a media meeting with The Op. Andrew just showed off the cover to us. It’s not coming out until around this time next year. 😊👍🏻
I think there wasn't much about Tea Witches until recently. I've actually seen the sketches from Sandara a while back (a year plus ago?) on Facebook. Thought it'd be neat if it became a game when I saw it, but she mentioned that it was just her doodling on her own time. Since then, seems like Manny came up with a game that takes place in the wonderful world that Sandara came up with, so it's the same way Flamecraft came about. Anyway, even Sandara just mentioned it being a game for the first time just a couple of weeks ago, and I was like, "I KNEW it was too good to pass up as a theme for a game!." So I'm sure the Op was asking everyone involved to keep mum about it until they were officially releasing info. I'm very much looking forward to it as well.
Artist of Flamecraft is one thing; it's a pretty game but so are so many other board games now. It's to the point where board games are an art piece on a wall rather than something to play. The designer of FC made a very run of the mill worker placement game. It excites me less than playing Waterdeep. My wife outright turns down playing FC any time I bring it up and she loves cute things but because the game play is so bland she can't stand it. A new game by this designer doesn't sound appealing but on the bright side it's good it has left a good impression on others.
