Guys, please don’t stop making videos. You’ve helped me so much in moments where I’ve felt alone. I watch your videos repeatedly everyday because they genuinely make me happy.
Dave, your story has touched me. I'm doing a cake bake and all proceeds will go towards making sure that your gaming experience is as boring and linear as possible. Stay in there buddy
If you raise enough money maybe you could dig up all the ET cartridges and give them away to happy gamers to blight this era of enjoyment once and for all and to truly spread the misery....
Daniel Nielsen They’re a Sony owner channel, they’re gonna say every game is good, I come here when I’m bored or want gameplay but they aren’t at all trustworthy, it’s like asking Microsoft to review Halo
I've been watching & subscribed to this channel for years, even when I only had an xbox. The writing is incredible. Love the content & the creative team, that makes it come together so well. You just keep getting better & better. Thanks so much
Trust me i understand the red dead redemption 2 entry. Im on my way to do a mission bout halfway there. Stranger yells for help. I help them. Gets back on the road. Oooh a river. So pretty. Time to fish
@@kavpk5925 hello, you've caught me replying to a comment commenting on a comment commenting on a comment replying to a friday freature from 2 months ago.
Agreed! That's why playing RD2 i find myself thinking that Spiderman was more fun. I think technically RD2 is better but mannnn Spiderman was sooo much fun, like a rollercoster lol
Yeah, I loved both Batman Arkham Knight and Spider-Man because of that, they were big, beautiful but also contained, nothing ever felt like ''Oh no, it's so far, this is going to suck...'', because the city's locations were always reasonably reachable and it's always awesome to move around in those games!
Omg sameeee here... I spent a week getting stocked on gold and guns and all of a sudden my hardrive experienced a failure and I had to change it losing all my progress and had to download most of my game again I feel depressed now
"I've spent a nonsense amount of time in The Witcher 3, like... 400 hours easily." Well... this is kind of embarrassing for me... because Ive spent more than 5.000 hours myself in TW3+dlcs... so.. I don't know to what category belongs that amount of time.
I had to reprogram my mind to march forward and finish some games trying not to worry about trophies, just so I can start RDR2. It's not going that well.
@@geoffbaumgartner5335 I have 22 platinum so far, and the taste of a new platinum is great, still I haven't played Spider man or RDR2 or assassin odessy for that matter, still finishing old games, working on shadow of the tomb raider ATM, 3 more trophies to platinum.
@@khaled00962 I feel you. Spider-Man was my 29th. It's really nothing but trouble for me anymore. I have to stop caring. I ran through Resi 7 (a year late) on Halloween and got only 40 some percent without the DLC. Feels weird. And I'm sitting on AC Origins and Odyssey (got both Gold Steelbook Eds day 1) wondering which to start first. I'm worried it'll feel like a step back to play Odyssey first.
@@khaled00962 I´m still playing the games from 2017 and there is no End in sight + platinum ;) Bad habit. I will probably starting the 2018 Games in 2019/20. Damn it, too much, just overwhelming
Yup. They are all so detailed and beautiful and vast now, I spend as much time zooming in to ants scurrying up a tree in horizon as I do completing missions. I got the platinum in that and I still go back to that world all the time
Today, PSA planted in my head a 1v1 street brawler with realistic knuckle physics and skin deformations with as much detail as rdr2 has invested, a 10 hour campaign, and a wonderfully cheesy plot. I'm mad at the world that this game doesn't exist. Tonight, I will punch the world in anger.
Well, you could always spend the time waiting to play through Punch the Bad Man 1-8. Might need to put on strong nostalgia goggles while playing the first one, though.
All fun and games, isn't it?! But honestly it's stressing me the heck out. These game companies and their fierce competition. Bigger, better, faster, more. We all want to play them! Each and every one of them! And if you don't... good lord... you've missed out on the biggest thing there ever was... We can't have that, now can we?! Most of them want to take up ALL of your time. They want us to play it for ages. Like clingy, obsessive lovers. "Never leave me!" Ugh! I can FEEL the games on my shelf giving me dirty looks. "Oh. You're playing that game. That OTHER game. Hrmpf." And, yes, I am always playing "that other game" in a constant, frantic attempt to keep up. It's driving me mad, Rob. It must be stopped! Great job on that American accent, Dave. I'm a bit shocked tbh.
This channel is such a breath of fresh air. The writing is superior to any other gaming channel and the humor is classy and witty. The music is nostalgic and fitting for the overall mood of the show. Great job everyone.
Mate, where about from UK are u? I am currently following few channels with different topic. I found your one for my favorite now. Every video so relaxing and non binding you with craps and anxiety. Keep going .. full support 👍
I used to think we peaked in Skyrim - but I have seen so many breathtaking sunsets in The Witcher 3, GR Wildllands, AC Odyssey, Tomb Raider, The Division, Destiny that I think I'll be sorely disappointed with the real one, assuming I ever find the time again to go out.
Also to be fair to Skyrim it came out back in 2011, at one point it probably was the peak. However with the years passing now that peak has risen, thanks to technology advancing mostly. Skyrim is still beautiful though. I gotta say though I think HZD is the most beautiful, at least to me it is. Rob's description of Horizon Zero Dawn is spot on me. 😂 Had to get my first platinum on from it.
This is a good watch! Only when monologues are as funny and great as this one has, I don’t mind the videos not going straight to the point. Well done, keep up with the good work!
omegagilgamesh I still don’t get why people enjoy playing sports games and buy the new ones that come out each year when literally nothing was changed.
I remember when there were like 2 or 3 great games per year. Now I feel like there’s twenty or more amazing game coming per year, I just shake my head.
@Rob - Your fascination with water draws parallels with a children’s tv character; Happy, from Hey Duggee (I know this, from watching countless hours with my daughter).
The graphics are so great and the scenery is so real. That a person dose not even need to travel. Or use their imagination anymore to get away from everything anymore. Now adays all one has to do is. Turn on the television or computer monitor. Turn on the console, while machines are warming up. You make your way to the liquor cabinet. Grab the bottle of expensive brandy and the expensive brandy glass. Walk back and boot up the game. Start exploring the various enviroments. Then pick out what senery suits you at the time. Then calmy pour yourself a glass of that expensive brandy. Then sit down in your proper relaxing recliner. Adjust it to the most relaxing position. That allows you to stll see the screen. Then slowly and gingerly move your hands around the glass. To warm up the brandy. Then start sipping away as you mentally sink into the beautyfull relaxing senery.
Hot take; I prefer linear games. I can appreciate a beautifully crated open world, but I simply don't have the desire to explore them. I just want to get on with it.
Last week I had a couple of days off work so I sat down to a rdr2 marathon , I started 9am and headed off for a mission , the next evening at 7 pm I realized I never did that mission (or any others ) I had been sidetracked for a full day and half gaming , at 45 this shouldn't happen , what a thing of beauty rdr2 really is
I feel like rob would understand my need to override random machines in horizon zero dawn to create chaos. So much chaos. Just sitting back and watching machines kill each other.
I'm happy to see that No Mans's Sky is no longer a broken joke. Hello Games has put so much passion and time into that game and it has really turned into a beautiful package. It deserves respect now.
There really isn't any time , is it ? I have 16 games in my library untouched and all my friends are mocking me for spending my money without playing them for so long , but I got to have them there and look at them every now and then ...! Anyone else have the same feeling ?
I’ve had the Witcher 3 for 2 weeks now and I’ve spent my first 10 hours just running around white orchard picking flowers, fighting wolves, and admiring the scenery.
No mention of the Fog in Red Dead? That is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in a game. I don't know about it on the Playstation, but on PC that game is stunning. The way the environment reflects the light from the sun, it breathtaking, makes it look so much better.
Gaming before Horizon Zero Dawn: "Oh hey, I forgot/didn't realize that R3 was useful right away. But hey...it's just a button." Gaming after Horizon Zero Dawn: "What the effing hell!? Why doesn't R3 tell me what this creature is and what it's strengths and weaknesses are?!?!! More games should make use of the Focus!"
Well Rob, you beat me. It took me 1 hour and 22 minutes, with a 30 minute break to eat, in order to defeat the adamantoise, but I bloody did it and I did it old school, with a truck load of potions and a polearm!
Rob I think it's about time you update that old Friday Feature about amazing music. There's been a lot of musically excellent moments in video games since that video and we both know it's time for an update. Pretty please?
ur channel gives me the same feeling that i got from red dead redemption 2 or witcher 3. i just cant stop watching ur videos. so thank u for being so cool and intelligent about games🤟🏻❤so much love from me to u guys🇮🇷
I never chime in like this, but might I suggest driving around the American West for a few days? It's a lot like these games, but even bigger and real, and you'd be surprised how suddenly and drastically the landscape changes.
This statement speaks to me. It perfectly describes why gamers can get so absorbed in the games we play. Because each game is a new life waiting to be discovered. I hope others see this and feel the same way.
2024 here….and I’m still playing three of these games and three of them are in my backlog. I did get the platinum for HZD, so there’s that! Although there are the frozen wilds trophies…
I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn at the moment and yep, totally agree with Rob on the ARRRGH and OOOOH moments! (I have many, many photo mode screenshots from there :) )
@@SarahAndreaRoycesChannel IIRC they did a dev interview where one of the devs mentioned that the same art team made the assets used in both FO76 and FO4, and that some of the art is in fact identical due to that. To be honest FO4 was close to the point where higher res graphics don't matter. The more intricately detailed maps are the more processing power it takes to render, etc, etc... and at some point players just don't notice.
I finished God of War and Spiderman this year, and I'm really happy with that. RDR2's slow nature means that has already fallen on the wayside to the majesty that is Hitman 2.
