I came here just to say that, well done, that was an impression that Andy Serkis should be aware of, in case he ever needs a stand in for a voice actor
Thor Odinson I got bored in the first hour... maybe it was awesome in 2015 but I played it in 2020 and it looks beautiful but god, I hated how you have to perfectly stay in one spot to interact with anything.
You had Joel behind you the whole time and I can’t believe you didn’t mention The Last Of Us. I instantly feel the urge to play it again when I finish it. It’s hard to say goodbye to Joel and Ellie with that ending.
I'm currently on my third playthrough and I still ask myself if "I did this quest last playthrough" from time to time. I'm pretty sure I have done them all and that I'll do them again in the future when I have forgotten how the quest ended.
Quick question, have any of y'all ever beaten the Fake Papers quest on the Velen side of the Pontar crossing, because I've played the game three times and the guy's brother never survives?
Horizon Zero Dawn. So incredible. I wanted to test my robo-dino kill skills on the hardest difficulty after that explosive last act. Frozen Wilds? Psh, that was hardly enough. (I soaked it up anyway)
My God that game is ART... I spent hours in photo mode. Allllllll over the map. In battle, out of battle, stop a longneck, jumping down, everything. That game was years ahead of itself in terms of graphics
I played it again on new game+ recently on the hardest setting, it is amazing! It's just challenging enough to still be so much fun. Makes it really hone your hunting skills.... DO IT!! You'll thank me later
I'm a madwoman : barely finished Blood & Wine, and boom, started new game +, and figured, what the heck, why not start a new game while I'm at it. Dual play of the story, one romancing both Triss and Yennefer, one just Yennefer. (I romanced Triss on my first playthrough) one overprotecting Ciri, one leaving her to make her own choices. One being an asshole to people, one being as compassionate as can be. It's great fun, loading a save and figuring out, oh yeah, I'm grumpy old man Geralt, I can do what I want, and screw with people.
I've actually completed all dark souls and demon souls and bloodbourne and nioh multiple, multiple times on NG+ but its my genre of choice. I'm on NG+20 or so on ds1 and 3. I have been playing games for almost 30 years. I'm not calling anyone else noobs or "git gud" because there have been tears and smashed controllers on a lot of my playthroughs.
My brother. I feel you. I understand. But I also say well done, you have "gotten gud" as the saying goes. But I must ask, what one was the hardest for you
As a Kid I played Ultimate Alliance on my PS2 multiple times over and over all the time. Anyone who's ever bought a Dragon Ball game is basically playing the same game over again too (it's not 100% the same but it's pretty much the same story each time)
@@anthoniG Hell yeah! Hopefully that's what we'll get, when Sucker Punch finished their work on Ghost of Tsushima. Which looks awesome, too. Fingers crossed 😉🤞
I expect a comment, Rob! I’ve put almost 3,000 hours into Dark Souls and beaten it at least fifty or so times, including going to new game plus seven and beyond several times! A comment, Rob! A COMMENT!
Nathan Williamson Oh, yeah! Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss Edition, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin Edition, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 . . .
@@ZestyG1991 my favorite thing instead of eating is just injecting my blood vials directly into my bloodstream. Perfect amount of nutrients to make it through the hoont.
not only have I completed dark souls 7 plus mode and restarted from scratch, but I've also done it on Xbox, PlayStation and on PC. I have even gone to the point to get all the achievements unlocked. I love the game, I love fighting those bosses that seem that there impossible to beat, its one of my fav games to replay :-)
I have 400hrs on my 360 and 300+ on PS4 and about 50 on PC (just built a year ago) ... on ps4 and 360 I have every story line finished EXCEPT the main one lol
Dragon Age Inquisition. Since getting it in January 2017 I have plugged over 1000 hours of that game with well over 10 complete playthroughs. And half the time I don't change most of my choices. I just really love the game, okay.
Same here,Mass effect is my all time favourite game series followed by Dragon age and Witcher,BioWare and CD project are my all time favourite devs, followed by Obsidian.
Okay so all those hours you wasted remind me what qualification that got you? Part from bragging rights? You sat there wasted that many hours that could of gone to educating yourself good job 👏👏
Ever since Bloodborne has released I have gone back to play it usually every 6 months to a year so I'm on NG+ 6 playthrough last I left off and yes I have another character I started on just NG so I'm close but not quite finished with NG+7 yet. On Dark souls 1-3 same thing but I've only got to Ng+4 there so got a ways to go to. What can I say over 2000+ hours into the series and I still can't get enough.
I personally got bored of fallout 4 and haven't even completed it despite having played through new vegas many times . The witcher 3 though amazing game absolutely amazing
I played all the RE games a few months ago because I realised I never played any of them really, except 7. RE 4 was my most disappointing RE game haha. Had high hopes but I'm sure it was just revolutionary 3rd person at the time. Or right now, it's nostalgia (Something I obviously don't have)... Now though; the 3rd person control scheme is annoying.
@@jc2348 I think RE5 is better than 4 overall, and parts of RE6 are better while other parts are trash. Granted, my favorite is RE3 and least favorite "main game" is RE0.
I actually don’t like going into NG+ in Dark Souls 1 because you’re stuck with your stats, it’s more fun to start a new character and play using a different method.
11:42 :"someone build me a hyperbolic time chamber please" i want one too especially if i could only age a day despite spending a year inside it, that would be great.
I remember when I beat the final Valkyrie in God of War (after 20+ attempts). I had already freed the dragons, and done all of the other side missions. It goes without saying that I had already finished the main story. So, there I was, after finally defeating the final Valkyrie, contemplating what to do. Maybe, start a game I hadn't played before... After a couple of minutes of consideration, I started a new game of God of War on the hard difficulty, just to experience the brilliant story all over again...
@silva geko Ha, ha. Well My second playthrough was played on the 'Give me a Challenge' level. While it was reasonably harder than the normal level, I didn't find it impossible, and I was able to beat the story. I have yet to play the 'Give me God of War' difficulty level. I hear that one is really, really, difficult.
@@doumc3584 I loved Horizon, but I've only played it on the normal difficulty. However, I did play The Last Of Us on Grounded, and man, was it hard to beat!
For me it was Tales Of Vesperia, (you know that one long lasting JRPG series Rob NEVER talks about). In most Tales games, levels, equipment, skills CAN carry over....provided you have enough experience or Grade. Thats right, you purchase perks based on how good you did in each battle when you start New Game Plus. But theres also ultimate weapons for each character that one more, hit of damage per attack for every enemy you kill with that weapon, but you cant even use them properly until AFTER you beat the game. Beat it on hard and a harder difficulty is available. Beat THAT difficulty and another difficulty rears its head. Rita, already the most OP character, cant even FLY around spamming spells until end game. I spent over 100 hours on the XBOX 360 Beta game. And now they've FINALLY released the finished product to us with content spilling over the brim. Rob, I love you and all of your videos, but seriously the Tales of series needs to be in your video rotation. Its a series that has remained very faithful to Playstation.
Definitely did that with Abyss and Symphonia. Tried to do it with Berseria, but I just couldn't be bothered on that one for some reason. =/ Same for Vesperia oddly, even though I'd rank that as one of the better Tales of. Abyss and Symphonia got at least 5 or 6 full playthroughs each throughout the years though, many of them one after the other.
I am about 60% done with the Story in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and I must say, this game deserves the praise it gets and even more. So glad it got rereleased, what other Tales games would you recommend?
@@Alex-mb2cy I would definately agree with SF442. I was so mad at the main character in Tales of Abyss that I LEGIT quit playing for 3 months. Without giving anything away there was a town and miasma. A cut scene later I was horrified at ehat happened thanks to the protagonist. Anyway, I realized what a great job they did crafting the story and fleshing out the characters. To make me feel that raw anger, thats saying something. The party felt it too. What a great game! The bad guys are all pretty amazing too Tales of Symphonia definitely shows its age, but with so much to do, multiple endings, I soon looked past all of that. Again, bad guys dont disapoint either. It even has a sequal but I cannot reccomend it. Not only do they try to replace party members with monsters, I.E. Pokemon, but most of the cast comes back and the voice actors werent all the same. I dont blame the Tales studio, we were lucky at the time to get the sequal. But the voice actors are different enough to be jarring, cinsidering youll spend 80 plus hours playing as one that sounds so different. Tales of Graces F is lauded by a lot of fans as one of the best as well because of the combat system. But I have to be honest, I hated that game, until I beat it. You get some really incredible abilities after you beat the story. And you can any or all characters fight like any other player character. The combat is great too, but never did I care about any of Grace's characters, good or bad. But end game and replayability are still high, given the abilities. Xiliia and Xilia 2 felt unfinushed to me. Xilia was ok, there were characters that stood out, but end game sees you revisiting a lot of places youve already been, even the bonus dungeon sees you warping to parts of previously played fields. The later fields feel very empty too. Opposite of Graces F I initially enjoyed Xilia going in, but by the time it was over I was happy to be done with it. Xilia 2 was worse, they gave us a silent protagonist, and it did not work for me. Literally all the fields and dungeons that were in this game were here too. They also featured fractured versions of those same dungeons and fields, so to me, the entire game felt like it should have been an expansion instead of a game. It actually became a chore for me, making sure I collected every single kitty made it really drag out. But at least all the voice actors were the same. Xillia 2 was literally the opposite premise of the first. I never once enjoyed what we were doing in the 2nd and I was pretty shocked how my entire old party from the 1st game was so willing to go world killing. Maybe thats why I enjoyed Tales of Zesteria so much. It was more light hearted than Xillia 2, and I liked the characters. This is a controversial game though, theres a lot of people that didnt like it. Personally, I liked it better than Tales of Berseria, a game that completely changed how we viewed skits and a game I felt like they tried to make dark because of the success of Vesperia. I did enjoy Berseria though. Another black sheep I enjoyed was Tales of Legendia, but take that with a grain of salt. Most people hate it, you should at least youtube the combat. Battles are random, encounter rate is annoying, and the combat style is NOTHING like the others. The combat was created by the Soul Calibur team, yet somehow its...well not good. But I really liked the story in it, even enjoyed the quarky Elvis singers. Again, Legendia is considered widely to be the black sheep though. There are others but those are the ones I recommend, with my opinion on them.
I literally just restarted Dragon Age: Inquisition after finishing the trespasser DLC. What character did I make? Some human rogue. What did I do 20 minutes in? ... I went back and made ANOTHER female elven mage... to romance Solas... again.
I've played Detroit now 5 times through and got the most dreadful trophy left for platinum... to kill Connor as many times as possible in one playthrough :l
The game that I would start over and over and over and over again and again and again was Skyrim, I freaking LOVED that game! When I first "finished" it I was like. "Nah, their is more" and start all over, I did this so much. And yet still I couldn't help feeling I never truly and completely FINISHED Skyrim but I enjoyed playing it all over again
For me it was the new Ratchet and Clank. I only got it free for the PS+ monthly. Loved it. Was just a fun game to play and collect everything. Especially with NG+ to unlock even better versions of the weapons. That and Spider-Man. That game was so fun and short enough I wanted to do it all over again
I kind of wish they didn't have hitman and mgs 4 this month so I could bring up that we hadn't had good games for months. At least we have good ones now.
I could never beat the final boss in ratchet and clank. I literally could not figure it out and I’ve deleted the game and reconciled the fact that it will never happen
Devil May Cry has always been one for me, mainly because over the course of the game I do really feel how I am getting better at it but once I finish the game I'm nowhere near where I can be and I have not even remotely unlocked every skill and upgrade so in order to get everything out of the game I kinda have to play it multiple times and with the mission select I can also just go to the levels I liked the most. Onimusha is also one, due to how well paced and short the game is it's really easy to get back into it and unlock all the stuff, like the Oni Spirits minigame, then complete the minigame to unlock ultimate mode for the main game and then play the main game in that mode for some nice catharsis destroying every enemy with the strongest weapon. I played through the Remaster three times in a row in a single day.
Yes. On the third game alone I've sunk 50 hours (and that's only the remaster, no idea how much I played the original) on what would otherwise be a 3 hour game, trying to S rank everything and use every combat style. That being said, I have no inclination to replay Devil May Cry 2: Press Shoot to Win.
Haven't finished the vid yet but for me it was Last of Us, completed it several times on PS3 on the hardest setting, as soon as remastered came for PS4 I did it several times again, pure gaming cocaine
Journey is a game I have beaten countless times, collected all the scarves, unlock all the pictures and still go back and play again. I love the story, graphics, and interaction you get to have with other players. Sometimes I literally waste hours dancing around and make noise getting the little scarf creatures to lift me up.
I've played it through probably eight times. It's one of the very few games I'll *never* part with. If I lose it, or it gets too damaged, destroyed even, I'll simy buy it again.
Yeah, I know that feeling. I've had this with five games up until now. Persona 5, Bravely Default/Second, Detroit Become Human, NieR Automata and Dragon Age Inquisition
I remember the 2nd time I played through Detroit, I learned from my mistakes, thought I was going to get the perfect ending, whole new epic level plot twist at the last minute. Amazing game.
I have watched this video at least seven times, and that Gollum good/evil impression deserves to be featured in one of your Feature Friday videos. Also Oxenfree was probably my favorite triple playthrough game ever.
Oh yes Persona 5. It took me 90 hours for my first playthrough and I immediately started the next one. I just NEEDED the Platinum Trophy for this Masterpiece.
I wonder if Rob's managed to get to 100% on FFX-2. That not only requires you to play through everything a second time, BUT make all the other decisions so that you see every possible story fork... actually there's not many ways the story branches.. I mean it's FF, writing more than one story was hard enough. Still though, the major story choices are well, major choices.
Yeah me too I've played GoW around 4 times. First time in normal settings. Second time on ng+ also in normal settings so i could get the zeus armor for gmgow ng+. Third and fourth time i played in gmgow ng+. Took me like a week to finish the third playthrough. On the fouth playthrough i Platinumed it.
You brought this upon yourself, I’ve beaten dsr once on ng+7 and in total across all the character beaten ng more than 30 times, and I’m still playing it, best game I’ve ever played.
I was going to comment at the end of the video that I got this feeling with Persona 5...but you made it the entry at the end anyway! I didn't see it comiiiing!!! You have excellent taste Rob!
"It´s pretty much impossible to max out every confidant over the course of a single playthrough." It can be done if you know what you´re doing and it only took me about 144 hours. I love Persona 5.
So...like that's the thing you have to "know what you're doing". Meaning youve probably A. Played it already and know what's coming anyways. Or b. Are following a point by point guide...which to me sounds like way too much trouble
This. I only played Dark Arisen, because by the time I really knew anything about the game and decided to give it a try DA was already out, but I played through this game probably a dozen times on my main character alone. I know I put ~700 hours in on my primary character and played on all the difficulties, maxed out way too much stuff, and got all the achievements (sadly it wasn't on PS3 or I'd have the Platinum to show off) but since the game only allows on save file per account I don't remember the overall total because I made more accounts just to play through it again without losing my main account.
I actually finished dark souls 20 times including DLC but I felt I have to do it all over from square one because I thought "this character has to have missed something and now I can't do it" so I went right back. I know this is an old video and all but why not lol great channel man, keep it up
He knocks that Gollum impersonation out of the park!! God of War made me play it over, and over again until I had all the armor sets I wanted crafted, and fully upgraded. And, of course.... Skyrim... you just have to play the game with different races, and playstyles. I had 9 characters rolling at once, but then, kids happened.
@@newposter30 ive played it 10 times. Sometimes i just play it for the music. I made a video about it on my channel Nocturnal Gaming (not plugging my channel, but i only made the videos on games i love) Its a hidden masterpiece
(Reads Title) The only time I remember doing this was in FF X-2 so I could play with the awesome ultimate dress spheres from the start haha! Thanks for yet another awesome vid Rob and Friends 💙=^_^=💙
Very underrated game. The job system was almost perfect (especially Machina Maw - I loved that lil lizard) but the first thing I think of is grinding Leblac's goons at the very start to max out Rikku and Paine's initial dress spheres and having an existential crisis. No joke. Didn't play a videogame for nearly a year after that.
Strange Flavoured Quark X and X-2 were my first Final Fantasy games, I’d heard of Final Fantasy before playing them but never really got into it, then a cousin had X and I was hooked on! I miss the Summons that Yuna had in X but X-2 had that fun “dress sphere” mechanic, it was just a really fun game (plus that crazy LeBlanc lady was funny as hell too) Thanks ^_^
greenhowie I loved Machina Maw too (that was Rikku’s mechanical monster steed right?) and, while I forgot the names, Yuna’s Super Flower Dress and Paine’s Sword-Bird Armour were really cool too. My favourite dressphere (original outfits aside) was the “Beast Tamer”! I think Paine had a hawk and Rikku had a monkey? But I know Yuna had Yojimbo’s dog, I kept expecting the expensive samurai to turn up and charge me for stealing his dog! Thanks ^_^ (I realised I posted the same comment twice, meant to delete the first cos of typos but forgot. Thanks for the heads up 😅😅😅)
Dishonored for me as well. The level design is superb and allows for multiple ways to go through it so each playthrough feels fresh. Plus 2 allows for different powers to make it more varied.
One game i never expected to replay instantly after finishing it was Binary Domain. Yes, that game no one remembers. Turns out the shooting is reaaaaally satisfying, the way robot armor and limbs are destroyed is cathartic, the guns feel good to shoot, giving orders to the squad actually works and they're quite useful, there's some really good set pieces and it has several different endings based on social links (somehow). Since it's quite short i ended up beating it 3 times in a row and almost went for a fourth.
@@Dev-nr4dw Except that Persona 5 has an optional boss and a fusible persona that are only accessible via NG+. Not to mention that, unless you're using a guide, it's virtually impossible to max your confidants in your first playthrough, due to the social stats gatekeeping social link progress.
@@i.h.1091 go for it! I personally prefered Nioh to Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne... When I finally stopped playing it, it took me about 2 weeks of deciding what to play next and being unable to make the choice... lol
First of all, Rob, that was a fantastic Smeagol impression. I don't replay games very often, but the one that made me go straight back in was InFamous: Second Son. I was good the first time I played, but then I sat there thinking of how great it would be not having to worry about subduing enemies and just killing them instead. It's marvelous. The only bad thing about it is I got quite attached to some of the characters, and Delsin is being a royal douche-canoe to them.
Love you guys so much and this is my first comment after watching these Friday Features for years! It made my day to hear you speak about how much time is spent playing persona 5 along with how amazing it is! I played 500+ hours just to see everything and get the platinum! Another one is Bloodborne, another plat of mine, where I had to keep going to even now!
Never beat it got bored and wish armor got damage and had to repair it or get new armor in dungeons because black Smith was one of my favorite part of elder scrolls games
No matter how long you play skyrim there will always be a quest out there somewhere. I have counted hundreds of quests on some of my playthroughs and i know there are taverns full of quests still waiting
I would like to say how could you take the emotional destruction again but I did the same. And cried again. At all the same scenes. Just as much. All 6 times
INSIDE was the game I restarted within 2 hours of finishing. After I saw the ending, I went and watched some videos explaining the dystopia and plot to see how my own theories hold up; learned the locations of all the secrets, ate dinner and jumped right back in, and played the entire game through again to pick up all the secrets.
Yes and all three of them multiple playtroughs. Tough I play Inquisition the most. I still believe that with the right disicions I can bring Solas home with me...... sadly it always ends the same way, with me screaming why Solas why!!! 😅😂
Always did at least 3 playthroughs back-to-back-to-back on each of them to see all the differences (and then took a break and went back to them later). Pretty fun to try to get the "best world state" and then the "worst world state". Always started with a really nice warrior who tried to help everyone, then immediately made an Anti-Mage Mage who tried to kill everyone ("There can be only one."), then usually tried out whatever I thought the story was tailored for specifically.
Yes the game is amazing in every way and every new persona is a new story soo don't worry about the story it's a new one and the best soo far (personal choice)
@@jackspediceye9961 Don't let the turn based combat scare you, it's pretty good, and persona fusion is pretty fun. I'd say if you're new to jrpgs I'd recommend this game.
Giggle fits on Robs' Gollum voice. I replay Witcher 3 cuz of new game plus. Then I start all over again from the beginning, then replay the new game plus. The cycle never ends and I don't want to leave that world!
