I... She really started an intro, paused to paint her ENTIRE WALL before she was happy enough with the aesthetic, and then casually continued. What determination girl, yes.
if you must..i read it’s cause the water is transported into the airplane from trucks which tanks haven’t been cleaned in who knows how long and are full of bacteria😖
1. Travel carry-on only. Pack it smart and have a personal bag for your electronics, pills, items you'll need. Cheap way to organize is using colored Ziploc bags or equivalent. also helps waterproof. Keep an empty or packable duffel or tote bag in luggage. 2. Pack light: if you can't lift your bag into overhead bin (barring disability) it's too heavy. In cases of disability/injury perhaps checked bags are best (even if relatively small) 3. TSA: Empty pockets, etc into a light jacket or bag and dump into bin. Do not wear lace up shoes. Wear socks and if necessary remove after checkpoint. Wear minimum of metal or hard to remove items. 4. Bring light, dry, calorie-dense and saitsfying snacks. Bring a water bottle (insulated?) and drink regularly. 5. Wear comfortable, layered clothing that is not too tight and is moisture-wicking or breathable. Merino wool blends are great here. If you must remove shoes wear nice slippers, ideally closed toe (bathroom floors are gross). 6. Brush teeth and wash face regularly with your washkit. A quick reapply of deodorant and talc powder goes a long way in keeping you feeling great. Try using a doubled paur of socks filled with talc powder in a Ziploc to apply. Extra: Keep your luggage/laundry fresh with dryer sheets or red cedar chips/planks/shavings.
I always get there 2 hours before. That usually leaves me an hour at least waiting at the gate. So much less anxious that way, then I know I am there and ready.
AuroraXA Totally agree! For international, I like to get there about 3-3.5 hours early if possible. It’s especially handy if there are last minute flight cancellations/changes.
I have to disagree with her on this one because I would much rather sit relaxed at the gate knowing I made it then be anxiously trying to get through security, not knowing if I will have enough time. Missing a flight (especially international) just isn't worth it to me.
I came across your channel probably because I’ve been watching loads of flight attendant videos lately. Anyway, I see you’re fairly new to RU-vid (at least this channel anyway) but you have really good quality videos and editing style. I subscribed and wish you the best of luck with future videos!
Megan Hargroves Thank you so much! I’m totally new to RU-vid but I’m loving it 😊 Thanks for your sweet encouragement and for subscribing! I plan on making more Flight Attendant videos soon ;)
@@BeccaIrene True. I second @Megan Hargroves. Yes, I did forget to mention earlier that your channel has very high-quality videos and editing style. Please keep up the good work and am afraid, the expectation levels for the future ones are building up - LOL. :) Good Luck.
Good video. My carryon is always packed with books, my iPad and kindle fire both loaded with movies. My anker portable chargers(more then one) and my walking pharmacy and snacks , meals and water. I am prepared to the point of I could live at the airport if I had too. But everything is light and packed perfectly.
@PaulinePotts I 💯 agree I've been traveling since I was a child. I always pack my carry on bag with: *Snacks/small meals *Gaming system *Books (2-3~) *iPad/Tablet *Extra sets of clothing w/undies *Small bag of charging cables
I agree with you on the tray tables, but if I’m on a long flight...the shoes are coming off! 😂 I always wear socks and I 100% put them back on to go to the restroom. But I’m not gonna be eating with my feet so if they’re dirty, it’s alright.
One thing I have begun is bringing an extension cord or power strip. That way, if all the outlets are taken, I can basically be a heroine providing a few more plugs and charge my own device(s).
Oh my gosh thank you so much for this video! I will be traveling as often as possible with my daughter and I really love all tips that will help us keep healthy and happy. She got sick twice over seas and oh my gosh, my nerves til we got back home were a wreck 😥. Love your channel💞
i'm usually glad i'm alive, i don't care how the day goes as long as i get there and don't lose my glasses (without which i am blind) or ruin them or lose my money or my passport or my tickets
You can take food through security. I'm sure there are some limits, but we've done it multiple times with prepackaged foods or dry snacks in ziplock baggies. Food doesn't always scan well, so sometimes they will take it out of the bag to check it. The only time I've had a problem with it in the US was at a small airport in Montana. My son had an entire box of Cheerios, and the TSA agent didn't want to let it through. We explained about his allergies and multiple long flights we had. They let it go.
I always bring food when flying domestic because I live in the arctic, my carryon is literally a rolling cooler bag filled with fresh veggies and fruit. It's different when flying internationally, each country has different rules so it's necessary to look them up. For example going to New Zealand, you cannot have fruit, vegetables, seeds, meat or dairy and they have sniffer dogs for all those things like instead of for drugs, the dogs will be checking if you have apples. But dried food like pasta and oatmeal was fine. 😂
I found your channel by chance and thank you for your content!!! I’m traveling to Japan at the end of August and all your videos really help with me mentally preparing/organizing!
Honestly as long as I am not hungry or really have to pee, I am good in most situations. My favorite airport entertainment? Listening to a book and people watching. It is the best ever. I just keep an ear open for announcements and sit back and watch humanity.
I found your videos and they are excellent! Your videos are interesting and educational. Also, I love your editing techniques and topics. They are enjoyable to watch. Keep up your great work and thank you!
New subscriber here! Gonna travel with kids soon (CA to FL) looking to get as many tips possible. Going to try to do carry on only. Love your videos! Yes, give us more insider tips!
Hi Becca Irene, I discovered your channel and I'm hooked! You are hilarious and your videos are different than the standard styles that so may youtubers use. You have a great personality and looking forward to future videos. Subscribed w/ notifications ON!
Now I've seen the second video from you and I like them very much. You put the best amound of humor in your videos and they are also very informative. I have subscribed and looking forward for more videos. I'm going to Vegas next month and we start our roadtrip there and I'm so excited. Sorry for my bad english. I'm from germany. :-)
@@BeccaIrene Thank you very much. I do not have many opportunities to talk to English speaking peoble and I am very happy, that you say, that my English is great. I send you a lot of hugs.
Great tips. Not a coffee drinker but was curious as to why? Where are they getting the water? I’m assuming the tap. I’ll def bring some wipes for my trip. Thank you
Too funny, I love your tips. "Don't be that guy.." My son in law was "that guy" times 1000. He "forgot" his gun was in his backpack and sent it through security. Needless to say, that was not a good thing, lol. All turned out okay in the end and they actually made their flight on time.
Hi! I'm new to your channel and I've only watched a few videos so far and I just love your style of vlogging and your humor! I am glad to say that I have NEVER had the coffee or tea on an airplane lol! Keep up the great work!
I think I’m subscriber #2020, but I predict you’ll soon go way past 100k in no time and beyond. Great content ✅ Great editing ✅Sense of humor ✅Sincerity ✅ Wishing you great success in Vlogging. 😊 Wish I had skills to redecorate my room in a flash.
People take their shoes off on overseas flights because often their feet unexpectedly swell.. especially for older ladies..and its obviously more comfortable, but a passenger should never walk around in sock feet, or bare feet or should never remove shoes if smelly.
Found your channel yesterday! Getting ready for international travel next month so looking for any new tips I didn’t think of. Really enjoying your content and style. Liked the extra DIY wall paint project before the content started. I did subscribe! Can’t wait to see more from you. Side note: your makeup looks great. Love your eyebrows.
Good tips. LOL did not think of the puke on the carpet, YUK! I always take my shoes off for comfort. Not any more. I know all these tip but that one. Love the new wall color.
Guurrrrlll ... I like you. I wipe down the tray table, the seat beat buckle, the arm rests AND I always had a feeling that the coffee and tea could be scary. Great tips .. thank you!
I always drink the hot tea on long fights because it's the only thing that keeps me warm (because there are never any extra blankets), so now I'm concerned...
The flight (Qantas and Jet star) provide meals or snacks. I stopped drinking coffee years ago and now only drink the water from the small water bottles which are handed out by Qantas and eat the small snacks, which are provided in sealed packaging. If it's a meal, Qantas meals are provided in sealed containers. If in Jet Star business class, they provide meals which are heated up in sealed packaging. PS The Qantas water bottles are really cool to keep due to their size.
Omg, your 2019 favorites items video was a suggested on my .... I don’t know, wall? Anyway I saw it, and after that, I think I have seen all your videos! Thanks! Love to travel and you have so many good tips! Thanks
Hey girl 😘 loved ur vedio and content of this particular vedio is so unique😍 i mean only few youtubers talk honestly about their personal lives 😘😘😘 love u and hope u get all success in ur life😍😘😘😘💞💞💞💞💞
I’m one of those folks that get there early. But it’s less stressful. I can get hot water for my thermos ( not on the plane, lol) some ice for my cooler, etc.
I've done all these things for years, and have been made fun of until recently, (like sanitizing wet wipes to wipe down all hard surfaces in my seat area...). Another good video of travel advice. (I always pack a few travel bars because you never know how the day will go...)
Paint - BEAUTIFUL! Nice choice, Becca! And thanks for the helpful information! I enjoy your videos so much. And please....tell us about the coffee and tea. I trust you, but please tell us why.
I have not laughed so hard watching a YT video in such a long time--you could do standup comedy and make a lot of money---HILARIOUS but also great hacks! Thanks !!
Thanks Deb! It's actually the water that they use to make coffee & tea that I'm referring to... If you're going to bring your own coffee or tea bags, I would stop at Starbucks or DD and ask for hot water before you get on your flight ;)
Maybe that but going even further, the tanks that hold the airplanes tap water are rarely cleaned it seems (from a few articles after I've googled "airline coffee and tea"). So there's a good amount of bacteria in there, ew.
I take my shoes off on a plane because my feet swell up insane amounts. I have to fly a combined 24 hours to get back to my country and just double down on the socks
Amazon has great compression socks made by Sockwell, very stylish and they work great! I have that issue and since I bought them I never swell when flying
Slide on shoes and have electronic devices and liquids out. Liquids must be in a quart size bag . Also wear socks that have compression if it is a long flight to reduce chances of blood clots.
6:00 Me: plans to get there 3 hours before my flight 😳😳😳 (in my defence, I'm usually travelling first thing and plan to get something to eat at the airport, so)
We remember when air travel did work.. Planes were on time, Food was served. If you got stranded, the airline would give you a voucher for a hotel. Why do we put up with being cattle?
Let’s talk about the coffee and tea. I’m assuming that it’s because of the water? So don’t bring my own tea? If I bring my own water will they heat it up?
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP i’m going on my first plane this week and i am NERVOUS, i have anxiety so i need some reassurance lmao. i’m bringing a checked bag and a carry on. SO 1. does my checked bag come through the security line with me? 2. for my carry on, do i take everything out and place it in a bin or do i put the entire bag into a bin? 3. how do i know my luggage is going on to the right flight?
Hi! It's normal to be nervous your first time flying but it's also a really cool experience! 1. No, as soon as you get to the airport, find your airline counter and check your bag. They will tell you everything you need to do and will take your bag from you. They will give you a ticket with your number on it- DON'T LOSE THIS TICKET lol. In the event that your bag gets lost... they'll know how to track it. 2. The entire suitcase doesn't go in a bin. They will tell you to take out your toiletries, electronics/laptop, shoes, belts...etc. Just follow directions :) 3. Double check with the person behind the counter that your bag is going to the right place. Most airlines have an app that you can download where you can track your bag as you travel. GOOD LUCK!! You got this :)
New subscriber and I live in Central Florida! I LOVE your videos! Awesome personality. I know you've been a flight attendant (I hope everyone in the world sees this video) however, have you taken cruises, like, ever? A lot of your travel videos have excellent points that will help with cruising but I was just wondering if you have any other tidbits. If so, could you do a video on that subject? My husband and I have only ever been on one cruise and we have a Transatlantic Cruise from Italy to Miami coming up in October. Please and thank you. :)
flight time is usually a good time to fast, it cleanses and detoxes the body:) water is pretty much enough..keeps us hydrated and cleansed:) .....good tips:)
I’m flying non stop to Singapore from Newark. 18.5 hours. Hell yes I’m taking my shoes off. Of course I will be wearing socks and of course I won’t walk around the cabin shoeless but if I’m sitting in my seat I don’t see the problem.
Enjoyed watching you. Informative with a good dose of humor. Just curious - is there any hidden reason as to why we shouldn't have that coffee and tea?
