I buy curtains in fours. I would buy them each month until I had enough for the house. It didn't take long to have gorgeous curtains throughout the house. Instead of going out to dinner, I bought drapes!

I agree about a wash on the statue. You can change it when you want to without a lot of work. Subtle is always better.

I spray painted a large outdoor resin statue with the spray paint that has flecks of stone in it and it looks really good. It would probably look good under a faux stone wash to add texture.
