Tailwhip aim assist can mess up your shot if an enemy crosses your line of sight but that only happens when the enemy is within a certain range

But aim assist can be use before we zoom in. When it's on target just quick scope and shoot. That's mostly what people with iron sight rifles did.

Yes and no, it moves to the body which sucks if you are trying to head shot as a one hit kill shot with the auto aim would just be a body shot. Plus it will register where the body is, and with distance where you need to lead your shots it can actually make you miss.

imparable 71 When I use the russian sniper variant, I see no aim assist, but im still a good sniper with it. But with the SMLE mk3 carbine, I notice so much aim assist

a common misconception among the PC is that console has auto aim for their scoped weapons. almost no game has that.

Almost every FPS game has some sort of aim assist unless you outright turn it off however this doesn't apply to scoped weapons in BF1. However you hate consoles, it doesn't change the fact that that clip required skill. Oh and way to prove a point with a link to another game.

There is no thing such as "auto-aim"... it's called aim-assist. It doesn't aim for you, it just helps because of the lack of precision of the thumbsticks compared to the precision you can have with a mouse.
