7 Killer Tips and Tricks To Get Ahead In Prey 

Guys ALL Red Fire Alarm that have a RED LIGHT lit above them is a safe. hit them 3 times as shown in the video. Like so ppl can see :)

You can actually get the stun gun and a LOAD of other stuff as soon as all hell breaks loose. It's in the same room as the locked safe (in the simulation monitoring section). If you jump on top of the lockers and boxes you can find a load of super helpful items, plus a cheeky bit of dialogue plays from Alex. Thumbs up so people can see!

i suggest getting the "materials expert" early to get 20% more materials from your recycler , it doesnt seem much but it starts adding when you figure out you need alot of ammo early on , plus its very usefull when you can make neuromods later on...

1:46 The best use of the crossbow for me was dealing with cystoids, one or a few shots and they die far away. No heavy ammo wasted.

In case of full inventory just drop all the junk on the floor, stand back, and drop a recycler charge. For more yield throw a few props in the pile too. You're welcome.

Put your upgrade kits into your stun gun. Stunning typhon and machines gives you a chance to take them down. Upgrading the clip size increases the how many shots you can get out of 100 ammo (an new stun gun uses 25 per shot but a fully upgraded one uses 7 per shot). In the later game the stun gun is very effective against military operators. Any operator drops stun gun ammo so if you have a well upgraded gun, you won't use that much ammo.

I actually found the safe without the mission at the start because I was trying to ring the bell by hitting it with my wrench lol I was so suprised and after that I was hitting just about everything on the walls for more hidden safes XP

I just bought the game a couple hours ago, I can't believe there are so many different ways to get your objectives done. I love it!

The Mobility neuromod is super fun, and when combined with the GLOO cannon, there's almost nowhere you can't get to!

I was really running out of neuromods to finally unlock Hacking Level 3 (important for all those robot pests) before looking your video, thank you very much!

how does anyone figure some of this stuff out? like hitting that alarm 3 times to open that safe. was that in the thousands of emails your supposed to read.

oh , and you don't have to hack into IT security , break your LG window in morgans office and there's a path way behind it , you can shoot thru the glass floor (which is the ceiling of the IT security office) and drop down into the office , beware there are bad guys down there. you can also use explosive cylinders to move leverage 3 objects OR use one of your recycle grenades to get rid of the objects if you have too...

I'd also recommend NOT 'recycling most of your food'. If you are patient, you can heal up by eating a piece of food and, waiting for the recovery buff to expire, then rinse and repeat until you are back to your max health. It will save you from having to use a lot of Med Kits, which can help early game when you're still getting the hang of fighting the Typhon with your wrench.

I feel like stuff like this is kinda pointless; there's nothing like stumbling across a hidden secret or figuring something out for yourself. Sure, it's helpful, bit I'd massively recommend going in blind; it's far more enjoyable when you don't know what you're going to come across. Although of I had to offer a hint myself, I will say one thing: the moment you unlock Typhon powers, grab yourself Psychoshock at the first possible opportunity. That move is amazing.

Great tips :) Only thing I disagree with is the part where you say to also add most of the food to the recycler.. The 5 health you gain also gives you a status effect that heals you.. If you eat 2 pieces of food, you'll get 20 health.. But if you get the neuromod that heals you more with food, food is suddenly a very viable option of always having a way to heal. If you have too much of it, I'd rather store it in Morgan's office locker and use the room as a hub.. It's likely that later in the game you'll come across a point where resources start being more scarce..

Another tip: Crafting nerf gun is very cheap. And when you dismantle them you get one repair part!

You missed the secret fire alarm stash near the toilets in the lobby (the second of the 2 lootable fire alarms in the lobby) honesty can't remember if it has nuero mods in it though :S I've found by far the best things to recycle with the grenades are operator wrecks, they give so much more resources then anything else, for optimal yield, throw a few operators wrecks on to a bundle of typhon gibs and then recycle :) to repair turrets you only need lvl 2 repair, lvl 3 lets you fortify them giving them permanent double max health i think also you don't have to incapacitate operators to hack them, they just have to be unaware of you :)

Leverage I: Better than gamespot's advice to get Leverage III, but still forgets that recycler grenades are ridiculously plentiful by mid game. Gloo Gun: You don't need Gloo to get to the second level, just use convenient platforming. Also forgot about the stun gun in that area, and the stun gun even earlier. Recycler Grenades: You get more minerals from putting grenades in a recycler than from using the grenade on 99% of the environment. That said, I didn't know about the neuromods in Security - it's amazing how many tiny corners have hidden loot. Also, nightmare isn't that hard once you have a few hours in. I did no needles on nightmare up until deep storage with little to no problems, even though I didn't avoid any fights. Certainly is scary that first time though :)

Easy Trophy/Achievment in the very beginning. jump into the helicopter blades! Seriously.

I would HIGHLY suggest not listening to the transcribe that is in the hidden safe that you get with the survey answers. The transcribe reveals story elements that you aren't supposed to know at that point. You actually can get the survey answers late in the game, which I suggest that you do.

In the beginning, when you are low on health, find the double water fountains outside the bathroom. Drink from one then the other. You don't have to wait until you are done with one to drink from the other so you can get your health back to 100 much faster. That's my only tip so far. I'm just 2 hours in.

In the intro in the debrief room with the safe and safe code that is erased from the dry erase board, if you climb up onto the cabinet on the right there is a briefcase on top with the stun gun and impact amp-s390 chipset.

Can't believe I didn't now how to get into the security office at the shuttle bay entrance. The shotgun was the last weapon I picked up before entering Psychotronics after acquiring the Q-Beam and the Huntress Boltcaster already. This is also on my most recent game I started, and I've been playing this game for over two years now.

Also use recycler charges to kill enemys especially higher level typhons as it deals lots of damage and as an added bonus if it kills the enemy it can break them down into a ton of exotic material.

Easy is to use sneak attack bonus, with combat focus psi ability from security line, gloo enemies down, then wack em dead with charged wench attacks. Saves a lot of shotgun ammo. Bonus damage is done to glooed or stunned enemies.

These tips are a freakin' life saver. I remember playing it first when it came out and I only found like 8 of the neuromods, the gloo gun, and the pistol. These definitely help.

Use combat focus and the glue gun paired with the pistol, the dps bonus is enough to deal with 3 phantoms at the same time, its been a minute since i played prey but i reinstalled to give it a shot and that was the strat i used for those first moments in the early game

I take them sloooooow. One word of advice: turrets. Set them in groups and set up killing fields. I have cleaned out entire levels using them

If you don't want to spoil a game for yourself, don't watch this video. Find your own way of playing, that is the key. This game is not a "Sci-fi, survival FPS shooter", it's an Immersive Sim. Find your own way to beat the game. The enemies are tough at the beginning for a reason. Use your thinking to tackle the problem and you will find satisfaction.

The mods found at Yuri's desk are a part of a side mission that you pick up when you listen to one of the dead crew's transcribe.

Just got the game and I don't regret it at all now that I got the fps boost and with how much the game changed since this is basically the effect immersive scifi experience it doesn't get any better so 9/10

At the start i recommend getting hacking first, because you get instant access to another weapon upgrade kit. you can just move object from block doors with the canisters. Even the large objects blocking you from that first room to the left when you enter the main area, you can knock it out of the way, and get a chipset.

I used the lift and i went down to the Life Support first and went back up to The Arboretum and i got surprised by a blackout and a Phantom kill it fast as possible guys.

You forgot the skill recorded room which you can get in with lv2 hacking. It has a mod in that area on a dead body

You could get leverage or just use recycling bombs on the stuff you want to remove, plus you get more mats o.o

I just poured my neromods into increasing my health. It makes the game so much easier at the start

so, on wiki if u have more then 2 neuromods (typhon) ur considered a typhon and will be targeted by turrets and other things against typhons, so is it actually viable to not have the typhon upgrades to avoid that? or am i severely limiting myself

I just bought this game (i know im late but im loving it now so that must count for something). This has been the best video ive found so far. The disruptor stun gun can be obtained right after breaking the window, head forward the right into a small room with a torture chair, jump up onto the object to your left to find a briefcase with some goodies. yw have fun

Ok so how many neuromods are we supposed to find in I.T security ? Cuz you say on the top floor to the left and in the back corner , but I've only found the ones you show and say that are in the corner

There's a neuromod that you guys missed in one of those fire alarm safes in the hallway between the orientation room and the bathrooms

When you get to guts start heading for leverage 3 you need it for the abitorium

At the cracks window you can break the one next to it and access the computer release button to open the door

Hi i need to say u can find the stun gun much much earlier!😊 when u come out from the apartment and fond the safe that u dont have the code for. Just jump up on the big thingy that are beside the code u cant read!😊 u get a möte up there to that reads how död u get up here IF i remember corectly!😊

Where I find dead people are neuromods, nearby or on them and to find these people, find a security station to locate them all and theirs one in every area. Luckily I didn't watch this video to spoil where these items are, so that means I already got them all and beat the game, also I find the stun gun useless but all I do is make shotgun ammo and pistol ammo, Q-beam ammo when I get loads of material

If you have the bolter you can shoot the button which is very hard

I started to replay this recently. I had played this when it first came out and „beat“ the game. The issue that I need help with. I went to my office and suddenly, I have all of the Neuromods from my previous game. So now, the challenge isn’t there. Is there a way to disable all of my neuromods from my previous playthrough?

If you struggle with techno or telos, coat them with gloo gun while they're high off the ground, they crash to the ground and die almost instantly

you dont need to waste a neromod on leverage. all you need is an alongated object say a trashcan or chair and slowly wedje it inbetween the objects and the wall, it will slowly move it out of the way

Dont use the charges on furniture. You will find alot of hard enemies. The charges are great against them

Does the game have a 0451 code for a door or safe or other? EDIT: 4:23 confirms it!

if you want to save as many people as possible inside the crew quartiers and the greenhouse: USE YOUR STUN GUN on them before their heads explode. they immediatly pass out and aren't under control of the Telepath(s) anymore - don't worry, you still can loot them.

I was able to actually click the screen instead of using the boltcaster bow. Not sure how but I just got right up against the glass and I could reach it. Just for those who don't have this "weapon"..its another option.
