Girl you are a genius MUA! I love this video. I’m 40 now and I used to be an MUA. From my mid 30’s and I can’t tell you enough how much women would ask foundation under eyes then concealer? It would amaze me how many women didn’t truly know. You being so young and all knowing lol amaze me!
Great video. I never got on the concealer triangle or baking train. I like how Robert Welsh and Wayne would say from the beginning how it aged you like the cryptkeeper.
I’m in my forties and I have blue eyes with really large eyelids and I personally find that the black eyeliner on the top lid really sets off my blue eyes and takes down my large eyelids, whereas the brown despite being a warmer tone does absolutely nothing for me but the trick I use with the black is to only line the top half of my eyelids, slightly thicker at the outer corner and feathering in to just over half the eyelids. I use a pencil but I don’t smudge as personally that doesn’t suit me either. I think the main reason this looks fresh and lifted on me is because I don’t put anything at all on the bottom lash line not even mascara. I just thought that I would share this in case anyone like me who prefers black eyeliner would like to try it. Thankyou for the video really enjoyed it xxx

The only thing I do now I that I’ll be 32 this summer ( when it comes to makeup ) I usually , more often than not , don’t wear foundation if any, but a must is : Sunscreen and moisturizer because I suffer from dry & super sensitive skin . I don’t do much on my skin/ face but what 3 products I do use on the daily are : 1. e.l.f. Holy Hydration! Fragrance-Free Face Cream ( it’s been a lifesaver and I’m on my 2 tub !! My skin gets so happy it definitely needs all the hydration it needs !!) 2. Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen SPF 40 ( I’m on my 2 tube & I discovered it 1 year ago before going on a trip ! Heard it’s an affordable alternative to the supergoop sunscreen- never tried it because I’m on a low budget , but I haven’t had any issues with the Trader Joe’s version! I’m obsessed with it !) 3. Simple moisturizing facial wash ( I’ve been using it for months now and I can’t live without it , I love it because it doesn’t make my face feel elastic-y and tight . I was always scared to use any facial products because of my sensitive & acne prone skin back in in teenage years , but now I’m slowly starting to add only these 3 products and so far have been working so well with my skin ! ) although it’s sometimes hard to find this simple facial wash but whenever I see it at TJMAXX I stock up ! Lol But on the other hand : does anyone have any more recommendations to what else to add to my face regimen? I’m looking for something to diminish the appearance of fine lines ( crows feet and smile lines ), have a healthy glow , and have a juicy and plump skin ( not greasy looking ) but affordable versions for : DRY AND SUPER SENSITIVE SKIN , Please !!! ☺️☺️
This was a fun and interesting video! I learned from you in a previous video, to contour your cheeks Above your cheekbone, not In it, and it really does make a world of difference in lifting the face! I actually cringe when a RU-vidr has a pretty eyeshadow look, then goes in with black eyeliner on the waterline! I'm like, don't they realize it's way too heavy, and makes their eyes look so much smaller?! And when I see eyeliner underneath they eye - it's so harsh...smudging eyeshadow underneath looks so pretty and soft! Wow, the lips - it's so true that too nude lipsticks make people look gaunt...I could never pull off the nude lips anyway - I prefer the berry shades, and with that being said, too much lipstick can also make someone look dated, and like they know nothing about makeup! I can't believe the difference on both sides - you do look like a different person! 🌹💘
The brows really applies to me 😢 I needed to hear this! Thank you! My natural brows fell victim to over-plucking in the 90’s and since bushy eyebrows are youthful and gorgeous I keep trying to create a look when I don’t have natural brows to work with. My brows look best NOT boxy or dark so imma go get the brow blade in a lighter color + stop using the “got2be” gel to set cuz the laminated look is just silly on me, personally. I need soft brows that don’t look as fake (been struggling to find balance).
I still struggle with this… I feel like I just don’t know what looks best on me. I keep going back and forth. Some days they are really dark and other days they are too feathered and laminated and hard lol. It’s hard to find a balance for sure. Praying for better brows days for us haha
Ugh, ever since I turned 30 I feel like where I used to love makeup sooo much, nowadays I usually HATE the way it looks and sits on my skin… I still struggle with very oily skin and hormonal acne so the glowy base stuff doesn’t last at all, but the more matte foundations that I used to love just sit so…. makeup’y on my skin that I now entered a time in my life where I stil want to use and love makeup because it is still my biggest passion, but I’ve been avoiding it just because it always turns out ‘not looking good’! 😩 I will try to incorporate some of your tips and see if it makes a difference. ❤
This was my problem right after I had my son which was a few days after my 30th birthday haha I couldn’t stand the way makeup looked on my face. It always looked bad so I really had to start playing around with different makeup techniques. I’ve struggled with acne too so trust me I get it when it comes to wanting to apply less but not really being able to. 😭💀 Def need to plan a video around this cuz I know so many ppl struggle with it too!
😂 I bake, contour, and apply blush incorrectly, but I get compliments all the time on how young I look...I get early 30s but I'm 45. I guess if I follow these I'll look like I'm in my late 20s? 😅 And I was so distracted halfway through watching what hand you were using to apply your makeup. 😂😂
This is what I never understood! I’ve been watching makeup RU-vid videos for like 10 years & I never got why girls with great skin would pack on foundation & concealer. I have acne and always looked to cover my spots but if I had the skin that most makeup girlies had I wouldn’t be packing on skin products. These are great tips!
I see a lot of makeup reviewers use a thick layer of eyeshadows under the eye. Im 46 and find it difficult to look soft at my age. Is this something i should avoid? I did recently buy colored gel liners to add a little color to my wet line. .. and maybe smudge it out a bit. Instead of a harch lower lid eyeshadow. I want to look soft but sexy.
I do the eyeliner on the wrong side 😂😂😢. I try so hard not to. But I'm so use to it and feel weird and like something is missing when I don't do it. Help!!! What can I do to have that definition but not age me and look so harsh. 😂😂
I’d swap out the black liner for a brown or plum. Really you can use anything but black! Try not to tight line entire lower lash line because it can really close off your eyes and make them look smaller. You can also smudge a brown eyeshadow or liner on your lower lash line to add definition without it looking too harsh.
