Moorea Spoljaric explains and demonstrates the 7 Minute Workout while listening to "The 7 Minute Workout" song by Tabata Songs. (Get it on: Spotify, iTunes, Google Play). Just like other Tabata Songs, the music tells the listener when to Start, Stop, and which exercise is next.
When we asked our Tabata Songs listeners what other workouts, besides Tabata, they do that could use some programed music and instruction, the overwhelming response was... The 7 Minute Workout! Well, you asked for it and we listened! The 7 Minute Workout, a scientifically driven sequence of movements famous by this New York Times article, has gone viral among young professionals with heavy work schedules.
Our listeners' feedback stated that The 7 Minute Workout, just like Tabata, can be difficult without help of a timer and/or instruction. So we made our first 7 Minute Workout Song based off of our most popular Tabata Song ("Deep Orchestra Tabata").
The 7 Minute Workout consists of:
• Jumping jacks
• Wall sits
• Push-ups
• Abdominal crunches
• Step-ups onto a chair
• Squats
• Triceps dips on a chair
• Planks
• High knees/running in place

• Push-ups and rotations

I just did it ..... I did sweat a lot!! And it was very very heavy because I didn’t do any exercise for the last two years so all my strength is absolutely gone and I am 75 kg from 59 kg last time I checked in January of 2018 . I stopped smoking 🚬 in February of 2018 and since then I put all this extra kilograms. But now I want to start doing something to lose this extra weight and gaining my strength and muscles back and I think that this exercise is just perfect for it . I have to be honest and tell you guys that I can’t do even one push up so I just stand in the push up position and the jumping jacks and knee high jump I can’t do them because of my unsuccessful ACL surgery at my right knee. But I did squats instead....so is good. Thank you so very much for this video again!! It’s very hard for a super beginner like me but it’s definitely not impossible and I am shure that tomorrow is gonna be a bit easier ☺️

Yo llevo más de un año haciendo esa rutina diariamente y tengo todo mí cuerpo marcado, abdomen, brazos, piernas y glúteos. A veces la complemento con otros ejercicios, pero esos son lo mejor!

You are so strong! I've been doing this 7 min workout since a year, but I don't look so cool. By the end of it, I'm dying. Especially the side rotations. You make it look as though it's ro easy.

Very nice routine. But 13 exercises for 30 (work) + 10 (rest) seconds is 520 seconds, or 8:40 minutes. Why do you call it "seven minutes workout"?

When the sequence was reported for the first time in 2013, the scientists assumed 12 exercises with 30s ON + 5s OFF. That made it 6:55 min. Hence named 7-min workout. However 5s of switching time is almost impractical. By the way, side plank is only one exercise in the original plan. Some split the 30s in 15s each for left and right side plank, with switching time of 3 to 5s in the middle. Some do only one side plank for 30s. In this case, side plank is split in 2 full exercises of left and right.
