Man, this is top-notch service! I love that you were able to show them, on their own vehicle, exactly what they were getting before going to the trouble of a full install. As a customer, it's a bit intimidating to shell out a bunch of cash on something you HOPE that you'll love the sound of.
Dynamax. Vibrant. Flow FX. For performance-wise those are the only mufflers I would run on my truck. You want a perforated core. Not a louvered core or baffled core. I have a Banks monster on my 5.3
Ran a dynomax bullet, truck responded like crap, put a Carven R, sounded better and responded a little better, last went with a Borla XR1, won't be going back. It all depends on what you want.
where did he get that ntr muffler? never seen one like that before. i have the same taste in sound as those guys. i agree with his choices. personally i like the 12" race bullets, not the 6", but i think he picked right going with the ntr. It's got a very unique sound that fits the loping. the outlaw is just straight pipe garbage in the shape of a muffler.
I think carven series is better. I am torn on R vs TR but to me the winner. That and the NTR is not even listed on Netami's website. It's like it doesn't exist or is discontinued.
I have a 2500 with an 8.1L I run dual 3” TR’s and an X Pipe. It’s calm cruising then gets loud as you give it some. I feel like it wasn’t rev’d enough to hear the aggressiveness of the TR
Very, have a set of outlaws on my Mustang thing sounds very deep in idle but once you get it to the higher rpm’s it sounds like a more controlled straight pipe
One of the main reasons why these trucks sound like that is because of the truck Y pipe. If you did an equal length x pipe it would completely change the way the exhaust sound.
@s2knott you'll still need to somehow make the pipes from the headers to the x pipe equal in length. I just did it on my tbss and it costed me a ton and and wasn't easy but it no longer sounds like a truck. I wanted that vette sound and I got it.
I have a question!!! I HAVE A 2018 z71 Chevy Tahoe and looking to get the exhaust done. Just not sure what would sound good. It has dual exhaust not sure if I should do X pipe or y pipe? I don’t like the drone noise so looking at one of these. Anyone can help I’d appreciate it
Most of them sound the same IMO. But the NTR had a different idle - sounds good. But im not a fan of Y Pipes - shouldve gone with H Pipe into dual Exhaust.
I was a Flowmaster Series 10 fan for a long time. And I had a cammed Chevy also. But I heard a Carven R on a buddy’s truck and loved it. Now it’s the only thing I put on my trucks.
The flowfx was the smartest choice regardless of preference, if it’s too loud you need it to be quieter, then that was the best option. It’ll break in and get slightly louder over time. And gonna do a lot for drone.
For 2012 - 2014 Charger SRT8s theres a really good one not many people know of, its called Zoomers Exhaust. After watching a few videos I guarantee people will agree its one of the best.
@@kerntay I had a B & B Bullet exhaust w/a X-pipe on my ‘02 Corvette Roadster. One day I called Billy Boat exhaust and asked them what mufflers were on my system. They told me Dynomax Race Bullets. I didn’t even know what I had. I got that system from the advice of an old marine corps buddy, Bill. That car was loud and hit hard when you put your foot in it. My cousin had a Harley with a Thunder exhaust pipe on it. We used to terrorize downtown San Francisco(the TL), with 1st gear pulls for a 1/2 block. It was all pure American 🇺🇸 Muscle 💪🏽
I have dual NTR with long tubes and the truck is cammed. I had the same setup before but with Carven, it sounds deeper and the cam sound choppier with NTR over Carven. Drone is rough with all of these style mufflers but imo NTR gives it a different deeper sound at idle and it roars when you give it gas.
THIS IS THE BEST REEL EVER! GREAT EXAMPLES TO SAVE PEOPLE TIME AND MONEY! MY CHOICE WAS, CARVEN TR FOR ME. THINK IT'S GONNA BE TOLERATED DRIVING, BUT LOUDER ON THE THROTTLE THINK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIEDO. ❤ 😎!!!
Ive always been the Dyno Max race bullet guy, but the Flow FX FLOWMASTER is a good muffler on a loud engine. I also use Moroso Spiro flows on some builds.
