Glad to see that I have been building my marches exactly like what you recommend here. I'm now at the point where I need to start finding a 4th march and it's all about tradeoffs where the first 3 were just logic. I think I'll just spare gold heads until I have enough to build a complete new march (ca. 1400) so I can give time to Lilith to bring news commanders in the game and see if there new value to invest in !
In my opinion do only ysg during kvk 1-3, rest sculptures save until SOC, then do meta pairs. In my first SOC's kvk I had around 35m power and guan5155/scipio5555, boudica5551(almost at end of kvk)/ysg5555. I did there around 350m kp. My guan/scipio did for me around 260m kp most on t5s. Don't waste sculptures on Alex 5511 or something like that. If you are f2p/low spender it looks like small invesment, but its not. Doing commander for 1 kvk 5511, then putting him on the bench is expensive invesment.
@@bagasadhyaksa yes I used same combo, charlse 5511 (or even 5411) / ysg 5555. France is the best for f2p/low spenedrs it doesnt matter which troops type do you play. Yes boudica/ysg best combo, if you already have been upgraded him.
If you accept using "only" 9 cav commanders, you can still do 5 cav marches, but as opposed to Nevsky-Minamoto, you do Nevsky-Willam, and you put Honda as a secondary to XY, it's still a full cavalry march and Honda is phenomenal with XY because it actually protects it a bit. Xy-willam such a glass cannon
Nev/joan, XY/William, Att/Takeda, Saladin/Mina, Bertrand/Chandra. Don’t think of any other possible matches 🐒…you got 2 meta pairs that even whales use on their murder balls (Nev/joan, XY/William)

fun fact ysg used to be in gold keys and f2p could max him easier in first 30 kingdoms then they took him out to make way more money hes now grossed the company more money than any other commander in the game by a mile.
I'd add if you already invested into alexander the great, you can skip guan and use scipio with alex, boudica with ysg, and nevsky with joan. Unless you have lots of money to spend then I'd skip guan. Hes a glass cannon without scipio. And benching alex would be a waste of sculptures.
It's time, i know that Alex will get a 15% health buff with museum buff, that and -10% all damage taken while shield is up (idk give to him something unique)
BRO..... I HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT.... That would make a scipio/alex pairing so beefy, and so useful in a murderball. I would explode if we were fed some buffs/debuffs like that.
@@ahlisugianto6360 i was just daydreaming about Alex's museum buff, wishing it will be that good. actually in order to sinergize better with scipio it needs higher attack. The more defensive capabilitel, the more Guan-Alex will returb to be viable 🤣
I was thinking... how do you feel about a march with sun tzu as primary and yi seong gye as secondary? I feel like they both could generate so much rage together and the march could have quite a bit of survival chance thanks to the 10% damage reduction from sun tzu + talents.

In my opinion get only YSG expertise kvk1-3 Alex isn't worth it because you won't get him expertise/won't have heads for some like Scipio prime Also Alex won't be as good as soc commanders while YSG can be paired with budoica prime
@@rafi7563 do bjorn/sun tzu its much better combo, than putting somewhere richard 5111, and do only ysg during kvk 1-3, if you entry soc you will thank me for this tip.
@@rafi7563 better use tzunzu expertise with ysg/aet. or marthel with tzunzu/ysg/aet. u can still use martel for until kvk3 / soc if u dont have good comander. dont use gold head for martel . save your gold head for ysg/alex or comander soc. if your martel and aet still suck , u can use eulji or bjor fo secondary . tzunzu is the best epic commander , u need espertise him first. u can still use him until kvk 3.

So I joined a kingdom already in SOC when I started, because I was joining an alliance someone I knew was already in. I never had access to YSG on wheel, and I have access to all SOC commanders. Should I even invest in YSG at this point? Low spender (5-10 bucks a month)
@jaybird8461 I probably should have given a little more info. I'm almost 2 years playing now, 46M power and have all the SOC commanders ,but none expertised. Scipio and boudica and nevsky 5551 and Joan at 5511 and guan at 5111. Current marches are guan Scipio, boudica mehmed and nevsky Joan. So should I try to get YSG to replace mehmed?
@@gtownwr if u need ysg for barbarian chain, expertise him. if not, u can wait new archer commander after boudica wheel. better u expertise nevski / joan 5515 / guan yu 5155 for now.
if i were in your situation i would focus on expertising scipio nevsky and joan first.. keep guan 5111 for now and skip ysg at all.. once youre done with scipio nevsky and joan maybe some better commanders enter the game (it all depends how fast can you expertise these 3 guys).. btw if you dont have ysg maybe 5511 artemisia could be good low cost investment for a while.. also you can try to use skill resets and hope for 5115 joan who can save you sculptures for some time (but sure go and expertise her later).. you have so many options.. your start point is actually great.. i would trade my ysg and alex for sculptures anytime so i could expertised newer commanders instead
I'm a new player doing my first ever kvk 1 with Thut (Archer main, KD's strongest as low spending) and we just got ysg (man, ysg is so good its crazy how much of an effect having him as a secondary has done instead of the epic Egypt commander) and its been so fun countering a mega whale on the kd we fight in the ruins. He runs Charles/Ceaser (as apparently he said that's what whales told him to use) and charges into our ball by himself with his 340k T5 inf march. Even with my T4 I am one of the only ones (besides our whales) who can get close/go positive. Just gotta say, its crazy how early we get YSG and how useful he is instantly. Only have him at 5-5-1-2 and its been such a blast using him under Thut. And yes, I love people that use him as Primary cause it is basically free T4 KP.
@@yasith2426 I am on 2988, Jordanc is the whale we fighting against in 2987, and he also has a small channel where he posts some vids/streams. He went tens of millions of power for the first Zenith we had, that's when we saw him become a super whale for kvk1 with his 5 full t5 marches and expertise'd commanders.
@@jbb8481 Well, Pass 6 opened and he went from 141mil power to 99mil so far and nearly all his T5 cav is dead as he's basically trying to pull a Nephisto with a fifth of the strength as his KD would not have a flag in Z6 without him. Been an interesting kvk 1 for sure making him spend over 20 billion resources in the first 24 hours of Z6 that he is draining his entire KD to stay alive.

@@Xander2026 I did some more research and did not realize there is a Joan of ark prime. Still new to the game. The game so far has only opened up 44 commanders. None of them on his list are open. So I think his early game is not really early game.

Better focus on Richard and ysg first. You need speed ups and gear + materials and Richard ysg will give you this cheap every KvK. Yes you can choose this Commander from the vid but without gear they are useless and you all are just meat for ppl like me. First you should invest in the base Commander and then choose Commander for kvk.
Richard falls off after Kvk 1 and all he'll do for you is give you more deads/sev wounds. Charles works better as you get a lot more defence and punish better with counterattack damage
I prefer CC to chain barb than Richard, he is Free and fast to move from 1 barb to another, and u wiill start with 40 AP to chain because he is peace keeper + he have heal, and if u already below 50% HP u will have more 9% extra march speed to back to your city.
@@vlacasarc5868 Yeah CC is a great early investment too, my guess though is this was more of a late game focus, as you would only focus on pvp based champions to max out for late game. Only mega whales would expertise CC early on.
would it not also be important to not bother wasting sculptures on your chosen secondary as only their first skill makes the difference...? so only 5111 the secondary
All of the skills for a secondary commander take effect in battle. The talents and equipment on the secondary commander do not, and the armaments on the secondary do not either. But all of their skills matter! :)
@@OmniarchOfficial thanks for clearing that up,i watched a vid the other day with i think a spanish creator who advised to never bother upgrading any of the secondary commanders skills except the first one as he explained that they do not count....Mmmm...interesting maybe an up coming video from yourself with a fully detailed explanation on how exactly each skill works for both commanders in battle...i know the battle reports give excellent info on this as well
Can't agree with YSG. He os super overrated. His skill damage is equaly Sun Tzu if they both hit 5 targets (i know with YSG it's easier to hit 5 targets). But he provides literally nothing more, he is way worse than CM or even Richard. His only real use is barb chains
@@OmniarchOfficial you can run simple testing and you'll be surprised bro. We've done since me and you played in the same kd (1643) way back in the days. YSG is really overrated and CM is SUPER underrated. I'm still using him with scipio and he does better than scipio+alex
