I appreciate you acknowledging that fragrance preference is different from person to person. For example, just because a RU-vidr with a big platform loves BR540, doesn’t mean I have to or should feel weird for not loving it the same.
I love Versace crystal noir! But I also love this video even though you don't like it! Like come on haters, we don't all have the same nose or skin chemistry!
Everyone has their opinion. I respect yours. I do love Lira and I had never heard any hype prior to purchasing it, I have my complaints with the projection but that is it. And I love lychee on Delina, which is why I bought it. Everyone's experiences shape what they find appealing.
Totally agree with you about Instant Crush and Delina. The only time of year that Delina actually works on me is in deep winter; any other time it just smells like rotten fruit and potpourri 😫
I completely agree with your opinion of Delina, I just cannot get why everybody raves about it so much. To me, it's exactly as you said, a "nice" fragrance that should cost half of what it does - at most.
I don’t understand why people get so offended about disliking their fave fragrances. Fragrance is so subjective.. we will all feel differently . And I agree on good girl smells so generic and nothing special. I love your recommendations been watching your vids!! I curious now about Chanel no5 l’eau and pure poison Dior.Do you find they last? 🥰💝 xx
@Anaïs Beauvilliers sad but true. Some will do anything for to be on a PR list. But once that happens i unfollow bcuz most Times it won’t be honest reviews .
Yana, your honesty and sarcasm is 2 of the traits I love about you. I am the same way about everything, not just perfume. I’ve always been this way (probably because my Ma was) and I’ve pissed off a lot of people in my 66 years by being honest. My intentions aren’t to hurt someone but if you ask my opinion or advice about something I’m going to tell you the truth. If you don’t want to know, please don’t ask me! I truly don’t understand why people would get upset because you don’t like a perfume. All of us have different chemistry land we also like different smells. If that wasn’t the case all perfume, clothing, hair styles etc would be the same which would be so boring. Enough of my rant……..girl you just keep doing you!❤️🌻❤️💐❤️
Good girl gives me a skull busting headache. I could never wear it. Gave the whole bottle away. And you are correct with Black Opium. I purchased it at Ulta. Opened it up in the parking lot and went right back inside to return it lol
@@luciaanghel3811 I blind bought good girl because I had a knock off version that I loved so I assumed the real thing would work just the same. It did not lol. And I did test black opium but only a paper strip. It smells totally different on my body. It was an awful scent to me. I have no regrets about returning it lol
@@accesstotheredcarpet Everyone raves about that one too. I saw it at TJMAXX for $20 but I'm not sure I should invest in it. A lot of these youtube loves, I don't seem to like
I feel exactly the same way about Delina! Some days the sourness reminds me of the taste of sweat on my face and the first time that happened I thought it had gone rancid, but other days the sourness isn't there at all and it's such a lovely, clean scent. I was worried if it was just my bottle at first!
I like Delina and I agree that sometimes it’s too sharp. La Rosee is a love for me despite most RU-vidrs telling us to stick to the original. Sorry, but La Rosee smells better than the original to me. Unfortunately, my nose hates the Exclusiv. I tried so hard to like it, but I couldn’t get with that one. And don’t even get me started on BR540. Tried to love it, but it makes me physically sick.
Yesterday I've got a sample of Xerjoff Lira and I was so excited to try it out! After all YT reviews my expectations were super high. I didn't like the smell, it was too sweet and suffocating. I was feeling dizzy and had to change my t-shirt. I'll give it another try when it gets colder
Great Video! I appreciate your honesty. I blind bought Versace Crystal Noir EDP a few months ago and hated it the moment I put my nose to it! I was pretty bummed about it because I read so many great reviews. Something about it pinched my nose and was almost nauseating to me. For three weeks it stayed on my vanity and I would smell it periodically (still hating it.) then one day I picked it up, smelled it and my nose didn’t get that pinchy note anymore, didn’t make me sick and it has now become one of my favorites! I was told sometimes perfumes need to “age” a bit. I do recall several times going into Sephora, smelling a tester and loving it just for the perfume to smell slightly different at home fresh out the box.
Oud Bouquet - I love this one, but my husband says it smells like an old lady hair salon. Good Girl & Black Opium- smells like sorority girls and bad decisions Mancera (any of them) - smells sooooo synthetic and chemical-y. Truly awful. Crystal Noir - not my personal cup of tea but I don’t hate it. Heard someone say that it smells like a vampire on the beach and I have to agree. Lira - not terrible, but way too sweet for me. Would probably work better as a candle. Also, somehow the packaging kind of bothers me, especially the pointy cap. Delina - smells like being stabbed up the nose with a rose-scented ice pick. Super screechy to me. Beautiful bottle though, if a little over the top girly.
I used to love good girl. A friend gifted it to me. I wore it a few times and was just over it. It’s so strong to my nose. I’m glad you’re keeping it real. I see a lot of reviewers hype up fragrances and then months later say don’t buy this, worst fragrance ever without acknowledging they used to promote it. Same with black opium. Apparently there’s an extreme version. Curious how it stands out against the way too many flankers.
Wonderful reviews, so straight to the point . I absolutely HATE Delina and BR540. Tried them both and cannot gel with them at all. Total waste of money for harsh smelling, chemical 'high end' fragrance. They actually made me feel so nauseated, I tried very hard , went back to them several times !! Spot on every time, love your channel and thanks for posting these great reviews ! xx
I used to love Crystal Noir, but for some reason one day I smelled it and was so put off by its gardenia and coconut that I had to sell it immediately. My favorite "cool ginger-y" fragrance is the original Bvlgari Omnia (the one with the ginger and chai notes); it gives me that same ginger spicy smell but without the odd notes
What a fun video! I feel the same way about all your choices, especially Instant Crush. Oh my gosh, I really don’t understand that one. It’s so unrefined and poorly blended. “Baccarat gone wrong” made me laugh 😂
I have the same problem with Delina - on a good day it's a refreshing rose, but some other days it turns sour and the smell can be irritating... that's a weird one for sure. Also thank you for mentioning Crystal Noir, it feels like everybody loves that one but honestly it's a bit of a mess lol
It’s funny how you describe the fragrances 🤣🤣🤣 I like that you don’t try to filter the words when talking about perfumes and this is what we need. As always I like your video ❤️❤️
Nothing to take offense over. Scent is so subjective I’m so surprised people get mad. I do enjoy Lira and Delina but I detest all the other scents on this list 😫 I want to get the hype so bad!!!
I just tried Lira a few weeks ago because of the hype and I also hated it. I actually just bought full bottle of Italica and I love it lightly layered with 540 extrait because the almond notes pair really well together and the projection and power of it are so pale in comparison to 540. I tried Italica with lost cherry and it smelled amazing BUT I literally smelled like a 5 year old girl and I’m with you, I don’t want to smell like a pop tart 😂😂
I do so love the Chrystal Nior, it lifts my mood and makes me have such a great sense of well being. The only other one I have tried is the Delina and couldn't imagine why the hype is so big.
I love Cartier La panthère despite seeing people saying it smells like cat piss lol.. Scents are very personal, i believe no two person have the same nose
Im so with you Yana!! Delina gives me this sharp scent that I can't stand! I was starting to think that I was the only one that didn't like it! I'm so happy that I found someone (a youtuber) who has the same taste as me!!! I bought Mon Guerlain Bloom of Roses EDT last year and it's my absolute FAV!!!
I liked this video before knowing what fragrances you dislike, because I cannot be bothered by such a personal preference, I just cannot, even if you end up disliking all of my favorites. 😅
I love Crystal Noir EDP In me is like a creamy coconut, not to sweet and sooo sexy. The only black opium I like is nuit blanche But I hate poison girl - too sweet.
I bought both dolce n gabbana The Only One, and the original Black Opium. Both are similar, but the black opium is better. Has a spiciness and complexity that the plainer The Only One doesnt have. The latter one is more softer and has caramel. I wear both tho. 🤗
Not offended in the least, I agree with you on all the ones I've tried off this list, especially Good Girl, but I actually love Delina. I didn't think I would though, I hated rose and I still kinda hate fruity tart notes, but I've started loving rose lately and Delina is literally addictive to me. Plus, it's not popular in my area, everyone is just into designer perfumes and don't really know much about niche perfumery so it stands out. I'm using it as my summer fragrance at the minute and plan to use either Oud Satin Mood or Portrait of a Lady in the colder weather so I can still get my fix of rose. I haven't tried the other Delinas but I want to.
Instant Crush is weird. Some days I like it, others I regret putting it on. The thing is I’m not a huge fan of the BR540 DNA, so at first I liked how Instant Crush took that and made it creamier. But the problem is Mancera always using that freaking white musk in everything. Some people say BR540 smells very sterilized like a doctors office, well Instant Crush smells like a sterilized bakery. Like you catch hints of all the delicious pastries, but they just did a deep clean so the smell of cleaning chemicals are overpowering everything.
We must be fragrance soulmates !! I tried ALL of these fragrances and have the EXACT opinion as you!! We must pull similar notes with fragrances because none of these worked for me either 🤣🤣🤣
for crystal noir you definitely tried the EDP from your description of the smell,. Unlike the EDP the EDT doesn’t have coconut or pepper or cardamom. They smell so so different so I really recommend you try the EDT one ! I think it’s the one that is popular
I haven’t tried Black Opium bu I agree with you on the others… I have one I cannot stand on me. And I tried and so wanted to like it- Gypsy Water- Byredo. It smells like men’s nasty BO on my skin! 🤢 seriously.
Mine are The One Intense, La Belle and Mon Guerlain. But I'm still giving them a chance because no one is gonna use it. Scents are very subjective and I think really depends on your body chemistry and weather too.
I totally agree about Instant Crush, I bought a sample after hearing good things and it was a hard no for me. I also agree with you about Versace Crystal Noir, it was a scrubber for me as well. The regular Delina is too sharp for me, much prefer Delina Exclusif but not enough to pull the trigger on a bottle. It seems our tastes are similar.
I break out in rashes with Delina - what toxins are in there! It dries down to Church incense on my skin. Chemistry is so fascinating! Highlights how wonderfully unique we all are!
Ugh, I feel you on the instant crush. So glad I only got the sample & not a whole bottle. Gives me a horrible weird headache. Not a huge fan of Mancera or Montale tbh. All smell extra extra synthetic.
Haven’t tried Lira, but that’s good to know, I shall not waste my money on it. Completely agree with all the rest of these though. Anyone that’s mad just can’t deal with you speaking the truth
Totally agree with all of the ones that I have smelled! Can't stand Instant Crush, can't stand Lira, it goes straight to a boring vanilla on me immediately, not a fan of Delina, that one just reminds me of all those Escada perfumes from like 15 yrs ago. Also don't like Black Opium! Thank you for your honesty!
I can see were some folks may be upset at you saying that a particular perfume is horrible, cheap etc. Perfume is a very personal thing and reacts differently to one's body chemistry. I personally love Good Girl, I find it to be sexy, a little dark and alluring. I also like that it's not a wimpy quiet perfume😘 Foody gourmands are not for me, I don't want to smell like dessert. I recently sampled a cookie notes frag that came highly recommended... It was a no for me, I don't want to angel like cookies. My daughter loved it though and I'm getting it for her for Xmas. Also most Guerlains smell like absolutely nothing to be, agnosmic😐
None of my perfumes are what you would describe as wimpy and quiet, I like people to smell my perfume from 20ft away minimum but Good Girl is just horrific. It's not how strong it is, that's it's only pro for me, it's the smell itself. I really thought I'd like it based off the notes, it looks great on paper, but it doesn't work in real life. On skin, paper, other people, in the air, I just hate it. Dark and vampy are not what springs to mind when I smell it. I wish I could smell what you do with it, but if anything I prefer Bad Boy, GG smells more masculine to me. There's a theory it was made for men but they slapped it in a high heel shoes and marketed it at women. I can see that being true.
Hi Yana! Just now sitting down to watch. I would love to see a home decor tour video. I get to see snippets of it in the background of other videos and everything looks so classy and elegant and tastefully decorated! If showing your home is too personal I totally understand, but honestly I would LOVE to see more, especially how you select pieces, how you come up with a design or theme for each room, maybe some tips on how we can better design our own homes, etc. You look beautiful as always, btw!
@@Summerdew123 I like Alien Fusion. Nice fragrance. I keep trying to like Alien more. Smells like synthetic eucalyptus on me. Dries to something slightly more pleasant, then disappears. I went on a Mugler buying spree and purchased 8 Alien and Angel flankers as well. I strongly prefer the Angel flankers, especially Eau Croisiere 2019. I also joined the Mugler "circle" and have received the original Alien body lotion, moisturizing cream, and a travel spray as gifts. So I wish I enjoyed Alien more to wear on its own. I do enjoy layering it with woody or rose fragrances.
That's why I always say any perfume you get start with one spray and go from there.instant crush half a spray is more than enough,it will smell really good
I totally agree with Good Girl, Black Opium, Crystal Noir and Delina! The rest I haven't smelled. I would add Coco Mademoiselle and La Vie Est Belle to my list.
I am so with you on basically all of those, I really hated Instant Crush and Lira. Full agreement BUT Oud Bouqet is one of my favourites, truth to be told, however, I don't wear it extemly often, because it can, indeed be very overwhelming.
I actually like those more "negative" videos! 🙂 My most hated famous perfume is Baccarat Rouge. The note of ambergris -nobody talks about- is really prominent on me. The opening is beautiful, unfortunately the drydown on my skin reminds me of mussel cultivation 😶🤣 Yikes. I also hate Versace Crystal Noir, I find it too heady and synthetic as well.
Completely agree with you on Delina, Crystal Noir, and Oud Bouquet. Everyone hypes them so much then when I sampled them I was so confused! Don’t get it 😷
I cannot do Delina either. I totally agree.too tart for my nose.lol. singes my nose hairs lol. Oud bouquet is another one i don't like either. And I'm not offended by Crystal noir but i love it. The "edt" version though. Its the musk that i lov so much. Anyway great video.
Blind bought Instant Crush and it was the most complimented perfume ever! Random people stoped me to ask what I was wearing 😳However I only could wear it once ! Sold it after 1 use for the same reasons you’ve indicated! ( except for Lyra that I have not smelled I 100% agree with you) I would add: La vie est belle, all the Angels, Erba Pura ( same synthetic-ness that Mancera have) and a bunch more 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Oh gahd … I forgot the most vile one: Tom Ford Black Orchid ! Horrid ! Smells like sweat and iron, compost and wet earth but chocolate-y sweet … dis-gustiiiin’
All right, so I have met my perfume twin in you 😘👃👭 I also do not like C. H. Good girl, Black Opium, Delina, but I would add JHSG Not a perfume, Escentric Molecules Molecule 3, Laboratorio Olfattivo: Alkemi, Alambar & Nirmal, Nishane Ani, Cartiere Eau, Armani Code & Si, Lancome La vie est belle, ... Yesterday I wrote I was testing Chanel No. 5, I think I like it now a lot, but I couldn't stand it. I did it because I listened to you. Now I know I must listen to you, because we probably have similar chemistry 🤭
At last, somebody who doesn’t get along with Crystal Noir. It is so hyped on YT. I bought the edp and I can’t bear the fragrance in me. Fortunately I could declutter it to a close friend who loves it. It does smell different on her.
Agree with everything, except lira, because I haven't smelled it :p xD good girl smells ok. Nothing great about it. I have it but I'm not wow-ed by it 🙄 Original delina is also just ok. Exclusif is much better. It's got more depth. Crystal noir didn't smell nice to me AT ALL. I don't know why, I couldn't get any coconut notes from it. I got only spicy notes. 😩
Omg I was thinking of blind buying delina but then this video came and yes I hate aaaaaaall the fragrances you mentioned (I would add la vie est belle). You saved me some money dear!
I recently sold my bottle of Jo Malone Dark Amber and Ginger because of the absolute lack of longevity on my skin. Then I came across the Versace Crystal Noir edt (never smelled EDP), and it smells almost identical to the Jo Malone on me - and actually lasts! It allegedly doesn’t contain coconut anymore. I was pleasantly surprised! I agree completely about Good Girl, though. I also strongly dislike Coco Mademoiselle, Flowerbomb, and, on me, Mon Guerlain. So, yeah, there are some beloved ones I hate, too.
Loveee these types of video and love your sass!! My most hated fragrances are Alien ( sorry i can’t smells like harsh soap on me) and Hermes Eau des merveilles the original ( that salted ambergris note mixed with bitter orange 🤮. But I love Not a perfume from JAAG so clearly I like ambroxan lol. Hugs from Montreal 😘
I just bought the discovery set from Parfums de Marly. I hate Delina and Delina Exclusif. Everybody says it is a fresh, green, rose scent. For me they are suffocating. They smell Old and dusty. I hâd to wash it off before going to bed because it was suffocating me. On the other hand i kind of love Athalia. Very surprising for me.
I’m glad you said it about oud because I know exactly what you mean 😂 I had a sample of an oud perfume and when it’s bad it’s bad. I sprayed it and thought “this smells like my grandmother’s old knitting basket,” that old kind of damp wood smell. Glad I’m not the only one who identifies it as that
I also don’t vibez with Carolina Herrera Good Girl - too strong for me, irritates my nose. I tried to like it but shame I have a full bottle, good that I got it as a present. I also don’t like most mancera products, you describe the plasticky smell correctly. I love my delina though😉. Great review.
I'm glad we are in the same boat about Versace Crystal Noir. Reminds me also with Jo Malone Black Amber Ginger Lily but different.. For me I can do Crystal Noir but only for house fragrance, I'm gonna be like it I think. Not for my body fragrance. Also.. the other brand with similarity with these two : Rituals Jing. Rituals kinda The Body Shop, Yves Rocher, Lush, Bath Body Works, etc.
The way you described Oud Bouquet tho..... 🤤🤤🤤 🤣 Adding stippery to the vocab too! But OMG, I'm 100% with you on Instant Crush. The Chernobyl analogy literally made me gag on my coffee. "It hurts to smell it" 🤣 "...Pinchy in my nose holes..." 🦞 Your descriptions make my day. 🥰 Ps, for me, it's Oud for Sedateness. Greatness. I forget which one.
Yep, I agree with your dislikes! Anyone who gets seriously offended by your picks needs to get a life. To get mad over someone's dislike is ridiculous.
Ok, you get me!!! Soo with you on Oud Bouquet (old church lady), Good Girl (the perfume equivalent to a basic b*), Crystal Noir (smells like a spicy plastic doll hair), and Black Opium (spilled sour coffee wiped off with flower scented cleaning products). I feel that a special place in hell is saved for Delina... WHY do people love a rose that is both incensy/spicy and extremely sour! When it comes to Instant Crush, I own it and sometimes I love it, sometimes I cannot stand it, in fact I can only wear it when it's close to zero degrees outside (Celsius)... On my skin it's super sweet, woody and ginger-forward, t's such a polarizing fragrance!
I have CH Good Hirl Legere and its sexy but it does not linger it just evaporates. The YSL Black Opium is just not a compliment- getter. It's a sorry scent.
Thanks for your honesty! It’s wonderful there are so many picks for different noses. I did purchase the Guerlain la petite robe noir eau fraiche, because of your review. Love it!!!! Anything gorgeously lovely 🥰
100% agree on Good Girl: generic, mediocre, a mess, synthetic. 90% with Black Opium. Idem with Instant Crush. 80% with Versace, because I really hate it and can't find anything good. The gardenia remenbers me those old and cheap toilet soaps. The rest, I haven't had the pleassure to meet them, but taking into account the ones I did, I'm not killing to know them. I love this kind of reviews. These are the ones that save money.
I love this type of videos 😆 keep them coming girl!!!! I totally agree with Versace Crystal Noir, it’s the coconut that makes me hate it… same happens with Ariana Grande Cloud, the coconut is a no no for me in these fragrances.
@@TheRoxie1970 I know!! I’m from Dominican Republic and it’s always summer here, I hate the fact they think coconut is the best ingredient for hot weather fragrances.
I am from India, when I was in school we used to apply coconut oil everyday on hair. This is the case with most Indian households. Hence any perfume that has coconut note isn’t something special for some of us.
