Recently, I procured a 2024 Honda Civic EXL in the "Rally Red" color for my spouse. I embarked on a ten-hour, one-way journey to the Black Hills in South Dakota, and the vehicle performed exceptionally well during the trip. While this vehicle may not be suitable for family use, it serves as a reliable and enjoyable mode of transportation for commuting to and from work. I achieved an impressive fuel efficiency of 37.8 miles per gallon on the highway while still having ample space for my wife and myself.

Not enough people are talking about how good of a deal a fully loaded Sport Touring will be compared to an XSE or XLE camry. I think that's the best value decision, and excited to drive one when they come out! Love the Civic hatch!

I’m glad they’re gonna give Toyota a run for their money. 😂 I still think honda is above Toyota not by much but I prefer Honda. I’m a Toyota fan too, but I think honda has a little bit better quality controls than Toyota.

Blue Lagoon is my favorite

The 10th gen Civic was a revolution compared to the 9th gen Civic. The tail light on the 10th gen is really iconic. You can tell at night that it is a Civic from far away.

I wonder about the Honda Civic Si Sport & R Sport Trims???

I’m not digging the front end that much compared to the last one, specifically the hatchback because that’s what I have. I don’t like body color near the grill. I think it looks better blacked out.

I heard rumors that the base engine will be replaced by a different 2.0 with 150hp. Do you think this will be true?

Still think the 10th gen civic was the best looking civic by far. This current one isn't terrible like the accord but it's a step back in my opinion, exterior wise

the black accent on the front end looks way better than the body color on the higher trims... Im so sick of manufacturers forcing aesthetic differences onto specific trims instead of just making them options. I dislike the Camry SE face but I like the LE face but the V6 only comes in SE/XSE. I dislike the standard RAV4 grill but I like the Adventure grill but the hybrid isn't available in the adventure trim. With the current Civic I actually prefer the hatchback *and* the hatchback's grill styling, but now when I'm ready to buy the hybrid after waiting two years for it they go and pull this nonsense with the mixed styling options.

I just wish they’d fix the 1.5t issues. I really want an Si, but I do not want to be dealing with multiple service trips. Many owners out there say to just meet certain criteria, like avoiding short trips, and I shouldn’t have to do that. The old Si’s has bulletproof engines, these seem to be made of glass when you want to enjoy them.

Great review but you made a little boo boo. The base engine is now 150 hp instead of 158 but supposedly there will be more torque coming on quickly before 4000 rpm. Honda wants to push consumers into the more expensive hybrids Might be time to try and scoop up a 22-24 sport with the 158 hp

Finally this will have to get Toyota to make the corolla better. They should do a corolla wagon and get rid of the hatchback so it can beat the civic in cargo space like the matrix did years ago. And we all know hondas hybrids dont meet epa mileage so there is that

First things first. This is the main event for the mainstream. Only a small.portion of the consumer base will be buying an Si or Type R. Like stated, Honda expects the Hybrid to be 40% of Civic sales, as well as for other models like the Accord and CR-V.

This power plant, presentation and production totally work on the Civic. Honda will sell thousands and thousands of them. It doesn’t work as well on the Accord and that happens to be the size of car I prefer. I just wish Honda would up the power on the new Accord. I don’t care if it’s hybrid or not but I would really like it if it had at least 250 hp. 204 hp isn’t going to work for me on a car the size of the Accord.

Great review thanks. BUT, i prefer the 2024 model. The 2025 front bumper is too protruded and i don't like the whale mouth front grill design that seems to be borrowed from the ugly HRV. Plus my 2024 EX has turn signals built into the mirrors. I think the 2024 model is by far the best looking Civic ever built.

That Blue Lagoon is the best blue color to come out since Fords Performance Blue a good while back! Love it..

I was gonna get a Camry for the 25 model year, but since they are only doing hybrids I’ll be going with Honda. I’m an ICE only person, and I happen to love the civic hatchback styling inside and out.

I hope the hybrid sport rims are black

Where is the 2025 Civic Si refresh?

Honda styling/design in-general tends to fall flat for me these days. Same with Toyota. Both have also sadly lowered their bars on build-quality over the last decade or so IMO. I'm going to wait & see what Mazda does with its upcoming hybrids in 2025 & 2026. Also wanted to wait to see if Honda can actually pull off a decent new-gen production Prelude (which will be a hybrid also).

This new civic looks good? This civic looks like an old persons car, terrible 😣 . They completely killed any vibrancy from this model. It’s not a civic. There is nothing sporty about a car with that long body style it looks dead and boring.

Nothing about Honda will blow a mind 😊

Honda states the base gas engine is 150HP not 158HP. And highway MPG is listed at 39 up from 37.
