My husband is an INTJ. He is intelligent. But does many things the hard way when it isn’t necessary. He is also self centered. Thinks about his own thoughts and feelings much much more than he considers anyone elses. He is a one man show.
I completely agree with number 2, most people get frustrated with me because of the way I am. They tend to distance themselves from me or just outright have nothing to do with me. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but when it's one of the few people I do care about it stings a little.
I first found out that I'm an INTJ when I went to file an unemployment claim and the worker made us take the test. So then after that I had an appointment when they set me up with opportunities that match my profile And the guy told me that i'm an INTJ - or 'Mastermind' After that I was told that I need to meet with a special counselor and the guy 'interviewed' me but I felt like I was being interrogated. I guess he wanted to make sure that I'm not dangerous... Dangerous to whom would be the better question - Of Course I'm dangerous Isn't everyone dangerous ? Don't be silly.
I totally agree with #2, but consider it manifesting a bit differently: You have very high standards, so then you surround yourself with people who have the same standards. And then you judge yourself based on that group... and based on that group you're only mediocre. Mediocre when compared to people who are top performers. It can be a vicious cycle. For example - I run, consistently. I surround myself with other runners. Compared to them I have a modest, practiced pace. I'm midline at best. But if I compare myself to the whole population I'm amazing because I run long distances consistently. It's a struggle for sure.
Fellow INTJ here, I wouldn’t say “don’t have the mental capacity”, I’d say they just don’t understand us. Some MBTIs can actually like us too, for example ENFPs. ENFPs are cool people that do anything to make you happy, I’m quite lucky I have a friend that’s one.
as a fellow INTJ, i would like you to ignore the first 2 comments, you're goddamn right (just kidding, personally i havent met anyone like such, i think that even an INTJ doesnt understand me, they could be mistyped though. but hey thats a nice example of superiority complex)
Ive learned what the appropriate thing to say is in most situations. I view their emotions on a chart in my head and go with what ive seen to be a good thing to say. People think im nice, but not saying something would result in ,possibly, more interaction later.
When it comes to formal conversations I know how to handle myself well, although when I was a kid I got anxiety now it's like I have a protocol for everything and it's quite rigid. But when it comes to informal situations and small talk, I always do very badly, I'm always lost, I never know what to say and you can't have a protocol for each case, you have to flow, I don't flow I'm like a robot with very rigid protocols, that makes me always seen as weird. And it makes me more anxious when they start questioning me, because this always happens to me, why I don't have friends, why I don't have social networks, why they notice a strange tune even though I'm from the same place, why I don't share their same tastes or why I don't go out to "have fun" and refuse to have a social life like theirs. And then the most dreaded thing is that they say directly to my face why I don't have friends and I'm so boring or start making fun of each other and laughing at each other because of how different they see me. I'm also misunderstood by the fact that I have a hard time with emotional expressions in both facial gestures and voice when speaking. Also, I find it hard to follow the kind of conversation they have and I don't understand the type of humor they use. All the time I feel like an impostor, that I'm not going to be able to maintain for long that apparent effort of sociability that I make and that at any moment I'm going to be discovered, that's why I have social anxiety
@@Die-Flugel-der-Freiheit I think that once you realize that it's OK not to be what society has deemed as normal, you will feel better. Personally, I have a few very good friends that I interact with constantly, and it doesn't feel like a chore. I don't have to worry about small talk and can immediately jump into what I want to talk about.
@@blakethegreatone2058 I know that many intj have friends, I have social anxiety since I was bullied at school because they told me that I never laughed, I became paralyzed and did not defend myself. All the time all the people remember me and I cause them rejection because of my expressionless face, because I am serious, because I interact little with my colleagues, because I don't do or have the same tastes as them, all the time reminding me that there is something wrong with me. I know how to talk to them, it's hard for me to understand the way they talk and make humor. Some intj told me that I seemed autistic more than intj. I suffer a lot from social interactions, when I was a teenager I hated myself so much that I wanted to die.
Me too , people reject me , but is because unfortunately, we are the minority , if we would be the majority then normal will be how we interact , I wish get to know more INTJ people 😢
Small talk is the absolute worst, I hate wasting time on talking about clouds. Most people seem to be stupefied whenever I actually explain anything. Weak people with weak minds are not worthy.
Intj biggest weakness: their ego... And biblically speaking, they will be humbled by God. And when they are finally humbled, God will bless them. ... i literally just gave you all the cheat code to life. What you gonna do.
@@GIGADEV690 first I needed to be convinced that Jesus was actually a real person who lived. Once that part turned out to be true I looked to the writings of the people who knew him (the apostles,) then on to the writing of the people who knew the apostles, and then when you look up from that you find yourself in the Catholic Church. Life is seemingly an absolute amazing tragedy. There is zero hope. It’s pretty improbable for there to be life and consciousness at all. However, there is an absolute truth underlying this whole thing and I decided to just trust the guy who was murdered and came back to life (a reality that most all of the apostles where killed for promulgating.) I figured I need to take a gamble and believe in the teaching that has the best possible end for me and mine both during this life and the next. There were a TON more small steps and understandings that were hashed out on my end but now five years later I’m an extremely religious and spiritual Catholic. Mine and my family’s life has changed radically.
@@vtvkkb Yes, same... "Sigma Male" is a term. Similarly, "Mankind" refers to both men and women. Now, if we could only all agree on the definition of a woman, it would be great.
