I personally think Mr Sweeny is the best character, based on his contradictory charcter: he is grouchy, stern, and evil, and yet he cares for his students and wants them to do their best. Who else admires Mr. Sweeney?

@John Rainsman I feel that he is misunderstood by the students. Surely, he is a lot more strict than other teachers, but he is actually trying to get his students to learn. Just like any other teacher, no one likes lazy students.

@@rendersen22 exactly, and I respect Sweeney for that. I remember when he ridiculed Ned’s laziness in “science fair”. Said Ned would procrastinate and turn in a bad paper towel experiment at the last second. Question is, why predict paper towel experiment in particular? There’s all kinds of science fair projects. The odds of his very specific assumption coming true were pretty slim if you ask me. Do you remember that episode

When Ned asked what the scientific method is, Sweeney used Ned as an example: “observation: he's smart but lazy thus he does poorly in science. hypothesis: he will goof around and turn in a sloppy paper towel experiment at the last second. prediction: his rushed and illegible experiment won’t win any ribbons. experiment: which is what is gonna happen at the scienceFair when he proves my prediction correct.” But again, why did Sweeney specifically predict paper towel experiment? It could’ve been any kinda project

I remember when the love triangle was advertised to end with the series finale. Nick said to stay through the encore showing to see a second ending. As a Ned/Suzy fan I thought they did an ending for each fandom. So I watched the first run with moze (which I expected), then watched the second, not noticing any difference. Got to the end credits when they finally showed a botched alien invasion that ended with a Benny Hill chase scene... And that's how I learned about the term "bait and switch"

3:22 because if I remember well the idea was really from Ned, Suzie was only against dissection and was willing to lose grades because of it. Ned on the other hand wasn't willing to do so because his grades were already bad. You can even see the happy surprise look on Suzie's face when Sweeney gave the news. If I'm not mistaken, Ned got that idea from something Cookie was doing
