In this video we're taking a look at the reasons why someone would move to Dubai. What are the benefits, what can be the outcome. I've been living in UAE for almost 7 years and this is my opinion.

Very thorough review. I have visited Dubai and really like the city. It has crossed my mind a few times whether I should move there for a few years or not, just to experience the lifestyle. I have 2 of my college seniors living and working in UAE who seem to like it especially the tax free income benefits, although they say the rent and cost of living is high as well. I have some goals for travelling and Dubai is indeed the major hub for that. As a medical professional, it’s a lengthy process to get the clearance and license to work, but plenty of scope for sure. Maybe sometime soon.

Thank you Anca as always. Tbh medical profession is one of the most well paid out here. Doctors earn a very good living. Definitely to consider

A lot of nurses from around the world move to Dubai to work in the hospitals for the pay. They are provided accommodations similar to the type of apartments cabin crew live in.

I love UAE..I used to work and lived in Dubai and Sharjah but Abu Dhabi is my favorite because it is posh and not too much people, so peaceful and beautiful..I am now in my country, missing UAE and will come back there in 2 months..My fiancee is a local Emirati..

Thanks so much Alex, The UAE is surely one of the most important and safest cities in the world, with a lot of flight connections to the rest of the world. I like to visit Dubai quite often ✌️🙌

Finally I can watch the full video! It's been a crazy week 😇 I've read some comments, all points of view are valuable. For me it's a place I look up to (even though I'm working in a good company here in Chile) , I admire how the Emirates it keeps growing and growing, it's really far from Chile, even though I've never been there yet, I see a land of opportunities over there, it's a so well taken care of, that in my case fills up my expectations, my only problem is driving, I wish that the roads where a good opportunity for people who doesn't drive, but I think that it will be solved in some point. Medically for me it's a great place also, in spite of the hot summer days. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Take care ✌️🤩✌️

I’m an emarati just now moved to usa to study I used to think dubai is expensive but now I’m completely convinced that Dubai has a very very reasonable prices safety my Apple Pencil got stolen In class I just went to bathroom and came back even in schools they aren’t afraid of stealing every thing in dubai is cheaper and I realized how Dubai is modern if Dubai isn’t the best city in the world after 20 years it’s gonna be the best 2040 plan 6 million will be living in dubai booming economy 2040 plan aims the city to be 70% green and every month a new place opens dubai is on a massive incline usa Europe is kinda declining falling apart rent I pay 7000 aed in California for a room with a family and shared bathroom this price can get me a villa or live in a hotel in dubai.saying dubai is Las Vegas is disrespectful

Hi, thanks for the input. Definitely agree with you, the western world is in decline and it’s only going downhill from here. American dream is gone, now it’s definitely The UAE dream, as this place is safe, futuristic for anyone to work/live. Good luck with your studies inshallah

I love the U.A.E., and Dubai. However, I prefer Abu Dhabi and some of the other Emirates that are more of a reflection of what the U.A.E. really represents. Dubai, for the most part, is a man-made Disneyland. It’s a fantasy land created in the early 90s to boost tourism, and make money, when it was believed that oil would eventually be drained. Reality is, it’s a authoritarian country, always with a new Vision, that has for years exploited human beings to build the Rulers’ dream for the country and its people (Emiratis). Filipinos make up at least 20% of the population, 25%, or more, are Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi; as well as poor people from Eastern European countries. They all go there for jobs, yet are treated very poorly by company management (even passports, and sometimes pay, withheld to control the people. The only people getting truly rich are the ruling families. Everyone else is paid a very small salary, in which some is banked in the countries they came from in hopes of having a better life - someday. But, the rationale for accepting slave wages is, “it’s more than I’d make back in my home country.” So, although people can and do very well there, most of these people had connections before ever landing at DXB or AUH. So, although Dubai has its pluses for tourists, it’s a complete facade, masquerading as a land of opportunity for service workers who are, again, exploited with slave wages for the poor who are doing better than if they were back in their own countries. Let’s keep it real. The poor people aren’t always walking glittery streets or corniches. They’re too exhausted to enjoy life to the fullest, and if they are, then they’re not working hard enough.
@AlexanderGeorge
@AlexanderGeorge Год назад
Hi. Thanks for the comment, I do understand your point and although I don’t wanna get into an argument, I’ll reply with my personal opinion. I see it as a city/country of opportunity. Indeed if you come here you make more money than back in the home country. If you don’t like it out here - no one is keeping you. I can resign my job any time, same with other people that I know in other jobs 😊 what you’re saying is misleading. There are people thanking God they managed to get a job in Dubai to support their families back home. I can only be thankful to UAE so far. Cheers

I am considering moving there and looking for info. So far I don't find anything attractive apart from tax free salary. But the flights are not cheap, so I guess it cancels out. I usually fly home every 2-3 months so one flight allowance would not be enough.
@AlexanderGeorge
@AlexanderGeorge Год назад
Well .. if you didn’t find those reasons attractive enough, better be home. Not everyone can leave their home behind

Everything you told me is all well and good, all accepted. But why did you miss the elephant in the room - Citizenship and staying forever. If one didn’t have any job , will the govt take care of them ? After 10 yrs or 20yrs of working can you get passport of UAE ?

@AlexanderGeorge

@@michaeladoyo8702wrong. I couldn’ve bought in Dubai at that time, with not much more than what I got in my home country. And ROI would be much better in Dubai, high rent prices so you get payed well by renters.

In the Petrol Station Countries with a Flag lots in past turn around their fortunes-- nowadays much harder due to high living costs. Howabout discrimination in favor blond blue eyed and against Asian + African in workplace???
@jimbocho660

They discriminate on the basis of passport not race. A black American programmer will be paid more than a blonde blue- eyed Polish one.
