Last week there was a private meet held in Melbourne for 7's day - a global celebration of the Mazda RX7 and Rotary Engine. Enjoy my short video from the night. There's just something special about seeing all of these cars together in the one car park.

What I love about the FD is even without a body kit and just upgrading the rims alone in terms of visuals, the car looks so good already.

When you look at footage of random car meets, and find an odd FD in the crowd, 8 times out of 10 it would be one of the most obnoxious looking vehicles, fitted with obscure and questionable body mods and wrapped in bright acid colors. But then you look at a dedicated 7s meet - and almost all cars are clean, graceful, preserving stock body lines and laconic colors, sometimes even period-correct mods. Very nice to see that there are people who understand what this car really is about.
