I think that all veterans should have free housing for life, as a way to pay them back for their service to our country. That way there wouldn't be any homeless vets anymore. There are many things we could give them so they wouldn't have to pay for things.

Just got back from Clark County Nevada accessor’s office. As a Veteran USN airman served aboard USS Forrestal CVA 59 I was able to have $154 dollars in State and County Taxes taken off of the registration of my 08 truck. I’m 74 in September on a fixed income and every dollar I can save is important.

I live in Kentucky, the state gives my dependents free tuition at any of the state funded schools- UK, EKU, etc. Between free state tuition, FAFSA, a small grant and the VA DEA monthly allowance, my wife got to pocket 10k per semester while earning a degree. My kids will get the same if they go to a Kentucky school
Just want to add that when you do the student loan forgiveness, be prepared to take a significant hit on your credit report. When you have all those student loans instantly just get wiped away, it's going to take a massive hit for a while but you should start seeing it go back up in about six months or so.
Free lifetime vehicle registration does not apply to all states. Like Nevada I live in Nevada now and they said we don't recognize that so I had to pay for my brand new Ford truck about $600. I moved from the state of Maine, the state of Maine does recognize 100% disabled veteran discount for vehicle registration. FYI. Have a great day, feel free to correct me if I am mistaken.
Tennessee offers permanent car and truck tags for Veterans with the award of the Purple Heart or higher medal. Those Veterans that are 100% service connected get their property taxes significantly reduced on their primary residence.
Be sure to pick up your Disney World tickets at the shades of green ticket office. Also certain states require that you serve during a period of War for Real Estate home exemption in my opinion is a bit discriminatory but you can still fill out your paperwork and it might go through the local veterans office.
You probably didn’t go to enough doctor appointments. Or maybe you weren’t fully open with everything wrong with you? My first try I got 90% and then I tried again 3yrs later and got bumped to 100% P&T. Just make sure to keep going to appointments. See a therapist, specialty care, primary care, mental health etc see them all as much as you can. You have to create a paper trail. Without it the VA unfortunately thinks everything’s fine and dandy with you. It sucks but that’s how the system works. Good luck brother, keep trying keep applying. I have 100% and still owe 10k in student loans!! I joined the military to pay my student loans and they didn’t even do that.. now I’m stuck with it and I refuse to pay. The whole reason why I joined was to get rid of it and I ended up getting hurt 😒 it wasn’t worth it. Idk how to get this student loan debt off my back and it’s driving me into a very dark place…
@Major Payne they actually sent me a letter last month saying my student debt will be shown as “paid in full” since I’m now 100% P&T. My debt was canceled as of May 5th. When I wrote this comment I had just received my 100% and didn’t know how things worked. . your comment has aged like milk lol.
When I received the 100% P&T, I just sent a copy of the award letter to the Department of Education and all student loans were discharged without cost to me. I hope this helps. God bless.
Should, if you are P&T (permanent and total), under the DEA (Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance) or referred to Chapter 35. I notice that this channel is very bad about responding to people.
I'm up for a lot of these discounts STUDENT LOAN. Should not be one of them. The Individual who signed up to go to a said college should be held accountable for this loan. Its like me going to buy a truck or a car I signed a contract to pay for this automobile. I don't believe in this student loan BS.
