I just started stacking Silver. So far I have five ounces worth of Silver Buffalos. Working on getting the ASE’s soon. However just stacking weight and happy with stacking the Silver Buffalos for now. 1 step at a time. Having any amount of silver is better than no silver. We all got to start some where.

Sign # 5 has always had me stumped. Why should people worry about weather the spot price or premium have gone up or down that week? With the amount of money I have wasted on piss, cigarettes, bets and fuel in my life, who cares about a couple of dollars on a silver round? You would have to be a dead set, misserable, tightarse. Im just happy to have it.

Well said! When you buy all that other stuff, your money’s NEVER coming back. I would almost rather the price go down after I buy because I know I’ll want to but more the next week. When it goes up after I buy I think, well what good does that do me? I have no plans to sell it, like ever. I don’t care what they say, I AM taking mine with me.

@@modus_operandi2508 Excellent. I got 12 1oz morgan bars at AU$41 which at the time was mint price (spot about 36AU) which in itself is not unusual, but here is the kicker. It was from a hock shop 🤣. They normally charge double the spot price. Must have been a newbie.

That's what I had done...when I paid off my Harley...I just used the payment I had for it on silver for the last three years and your right...the stack grows on its own...when you do it constantly...especially when it's automatic every month...plus it's always a good feeling each month when you've made your purchases for the month...it's like Christmas each month when they come in...smiles

Silver Heist, I am not a stacker, I am a collector. I failed 6 out of the 7 criteria for knowing you are a better stacker, except number 4, owning some gold. I collect silver and gold coins not for their weight or quantity. I collect them because I am genuinely interested in the design and history. Price matters somewhat but if I really like a coin, I will buy it no matter what. I honestly dont look at premium when buying. Have I overpayed for some of my coins ? Sure, but having those coins gives me pleasure, internal satisfaction that money cannot buy.

Actually, if you’re collecting silver and gold, even a little bit, you probably DID NOT fail almost any of these criteria. I’m willing to bet you actually checked off most of these 7, if you’re being honest. Example, you bought your gold or silver, and the price went up or down the next day. So, c’mon Man 🤷🏻‍♂️

I got my first silver and gold coins in the seventies from my father. He was a coin collecter. He hated banks and told me that silver and especially gold is more safe in your kitchendrawer then in numbers on your bank account. Its your pension fund that's always in your own possession. Got all seven points but i'm not a stacker, i love coins. Just bought another kilo of different silver dutch coins and just to go thru them for nice examples is a pleasure.

In my opinion, the best stackers reduce the Silver to Gold ratio gap as soon as they can afford it. When they can afford to add gold, choose low premium fractionals.

You’re giving me confirmation. I’m on the right track. I have been stacking a 1/10 th ounce gold eagle every month since 8 months ago.just two months to go. To fill my tube for 1 once. I just finished my goal last year,of 1/4 ounce gold every other month. When I get a windfall profit from my job l pick up a 1/2 ounce gold eagle.

So encouraging thank you! I work hard for my money and just started November last year. I see stacking channels with stacks of 1oz gold. I just can't commit to that much at this time in my life. Tieing up $2000+ is just not realistic but spending $200-$300 is. That is what I do. One item you didn't mention is learning to buy on the dip. I have had multiple times when there was a dip and I just did not have the money to buy. So I have kept a small reserve.

6 out of 7, the sign i missed was glod, i stack platinum instead purley because its extremely undervalued, natural abundance is 18 X less than glod and production is 30 X less than glod also it only comes from 2 places on the planet, South Africa (major problems with production and national stability) and RUSSIA! (No need to say any more on that!), glod v's platinum is a case of look over here not over there, great program and content, i always enjoy other stackers views on precious metals. 👍

I guess 47 years in this game has allowed me to say I was a stacker before stacking was a thing. Fact is the majority of my 1031lbs.+ of Silver I have never seen or touched inside sealed monster boxes. These days I don’t buy as often because I don’t need to concentrate on that. I feel the need to spend time honing my skills in my Greenhouse. I probably spend 6 hours a day on my vegetable crops. I feel everyone should spend more time on their food supplies. You won’t be able to buy food no matter how much Precious Metals you hold. If you don’t have a way to feed yourself you won’t need the Gold or Silver.

I just dont like collecting coins of the same type - all Eagles, all Maples, all Britannias or a mix simply because they are 1 oz or of a particular weight. I look for unique sovereign world coins from all over the world, not necessarily the most popular or the most in demand - coins like the 1 oz St. George the Victorious from Russia, Archangel Michael 1 oz from Ukraine, 1 oz Nikola Tesla coins from Serbia, 1 oz Snow Leopard or Irbis coins from Kazakhstan. I know these coins may not be in great demand but they are more interesting to me than the popular sovereign bullion coins.

I started just a few years ago and , bought primarily while spot went back and forth between 17ish and 28 but with premium included inwouldnt go pay over 30 an ounce. With a few exceptions with eagles, which i paid more than i shouldve. I do feel, based on the few times ive sold , i shouldve been a lil more cautious about what i shouldve bought. Not because of the price i was able to sell for but the reason more so being what a shop was willing to buy in the 1st place. I found generic stuff was way more difficult to sell. Constitutional and eagles would have been easy but i choose to hold on to those. Where as when i went to sell generics the reason was more that places not being so interested seemed to be mostly cause of the amount they had in stock behind the counter. I only sold to see what it was like and what may be involved in doing so.

Started in march, almost have a full tube, my thing is, i am not over over paying because the coin is from my country. Rounds and bars are just fine, in the end if SHTF that american eagle wont be worth more than a round or bar, 1 oz will be 1 oz.

Im just starting im going 5 silver eagles to 1. 1/10 gold eagle. But ive heard of an interesting strategy of stacking that has to do with the gold to silver ratio. But like i said im super new

The Gold/Silver ratio is key. It's currently 1:84. Many experts say when it's over 80 buy silver. But gold to silver mined ratio is 1:10 or less. Silver values are being suppressed. Store some gold, but silver will eventually explode at a much higher pace than gold.

Ive been stacking close to 10 years. Never bought an eagle. Soley stack closest to spot and junk. My main goal is to make money from silver. Since 2019 there has been some awesome times to dump alot of silver. Of course i get it all back once peice comes back down. I have no FOMO anymore. All last year i just saved cash until the fall when junk hit 17 X face. Bought alot and rounds. Dropped my super slick junk for a small profit a couple weeks ago. Wanted to get rid of those slicks and when i buy back when price comes back down ill get it all back but less slicks. Mostly i stick to rosie dimes now. Most weight for the buck. I do always keep a hefty base ill never sell but the rest ill sell tomorrow if silver pops up, no worries. I have thought so much about bartering also and do not believe we will ever barter with silver. In my area theres lots of farmers and ranchers who love silver. But in general at most farmer markets cash will be king.

I don't stack the sovereign coins. Yea, ASEs are the most recognizable and popular coin in America, but they are also the most faked. I often hear the argument that in a barter situation that's what you'll want, but to me if they are the most faked coin, someone will question if it's real just as fast as they question my silver bars. I say, stack what you like and stay away from high premiums. Silver is silver and there's a lot of ppl out here paying really high premiums just bc of the name stamped on it.

there is never a reason to drop coins into a tube and ding them. stack them in your hand, insert the tube over them and you can push them up into the tube
