Here after Mario Cristobal's Miami loss to Georgia Tech. Good to see in 2023 he still isn't taking knees and fumbling when the game should be over. Crazy
that's the reason I'm here .. lol I was at that game and at the time I was attending Oregon . I was so happy we got rid of that moron... but what I saw today was the worse blunder in sports history period he should be fired immediately.. And I'm very fearful for that running back who fumbled
After Georgia Tech…I heard everyone talking about this but I had to see it to believe it!!! Makes his refusal to take a knee with Miami all that more disturbing! I don’t like how the announcers ignored the bad play calling?!?!?!?
HALLOW- MOTO Dude you're fucking stupid if you think that was pass interference at the end of the game. Especially with Mitchell holding Adebo as well.
Everyone who is here to pile on Cristobal after Miami blew the game against GT cannot do simple math. the overwhelming majority of teams would do the same thing as Cristobal and run on 2nd & 3. STANFORD HAD A TIMEOUT. if oregon doesn't fumble, they call the TO w/ about 55 seconds, and now it's 3rd down. kneel down + maximum time milked off, now it's 4th w/ about 12 seconds to go, and oregon has to either punt, FG, or try to burn 12 seconds in 1 play. that is an ENTIRELY different situation than what happened against GT, in which the clock goes to zero if miami kneels down one more time
Couldn't remember what year this happened and had to track it down. I was like surely this wasn't a Cristobal coached Oregon team this happened to. Nope it was lol. How does this guy lose a game twice in a career by just refusing to take a knee
yall are rookies or something from the miami game? THIS GAME he did nothing wrong, thats like a 55 yard attempt if he takes a knee lmfao in college thats a NO
@@gurusheat3506you literally should delete this. 51 seconds 2nd and 3. 40 second play clock for 3rd down. You let that run maybe with a second left leaves about 9-11 seconds, now it’s 4th down and you take a knee it’s game
@@tkkunaka2630 you should delete your comment. the ball was snapped at 58 seconds on 2nd & 3. even if Oregon kneels, stanford takes a TO, and now there's 56 seconds. Oregon kneels again and takes 40 seconds off (plus a couple for the actual play). now there's about 14 seconds and it's 4th down. Mario made the right decision here, considering it was only 3 yards to go on the plus side, just unfortunate for them that they fumbled
I’m a Kentucky fan, and this hurts my heart, as a FOOTBALL fan to see. Oregon got absolutely robbed. What should’ve been 31-7 turns into 24-14. Brutal. No excuse to blow that call. None whatsoever.
Wow, it seems that lots of a SEC fans don't know the rules of college football, even though college football is like a religion in SEC country. It's like how lots of Christians don't know anything in the Bible. lol
Seeing the play again, sure. His foot hits the pylon. The pylon is “technically” Out of bounds. The ball was not at the goal line. I bet even most refs think the pylon is part of the goal line. The kid scored. It’s a game where there are ridiculous rules. Imaginary goal lines. A few weeks ago, a Gators kicker hit a FG that was called no good because the entire ball has to be inside the post, and his kick was over the post. I felt guilty about it, because my team took advantage of the rule. I still think it probably should’ve counted. Yes. Ducks should’ve still taken the ball and gotten in. They choked the game away. Looks like LOTS of Stanford fans are defensive as Hell about this. Keep rationalizing the call. Whatever helps ya sleep at night. If this had happened to my team, and we got away with that call and won, like Stanford did, I’d feel guilty as Hell. Ducks lost this game. Stanford just took advantage.
this one is different. stanford had a timeout. even if Oregon takes a knee on 2nd down, stanford takes a timeout, and there's still about 55 seconds left. so Oregon takes a knee on 3rd down and runs off more clock. now there's about 13 seconds left, and it's 4th down. almost all teams would run in this situation, considering it was only 2nd and 3, and oregon was in stanford territory. i actually came here to see for myself if cristobal had repeated his catastrophic mistake, but i was mislead by people sensationalizing this game. glad i saw for myself
@Matt Richardson True, but how do they spot the ball a yard back? Seems like they could only spot it a few inches short of the goal line. Oregon definitely choked afterwards but refs pushed it back a bit.
CJ Verdell probably feeling like shit rn. He didn’t lose them the game though. Stanford clawed like Hell. This is one of the best games I’ve seen this year.
He sure bounced back against the Fuskies with the go ahead touchdown in OT a few weeks later. Universal redemption. I'd rather my ducks lose to Stanford in another instant classic like this, than in any fashion to Washington. PAC12 North is always a trip.
Aww that sucks, if only there was a play I could point to in 2006 when Oklahoma clearly recovered an onside kick but the refs blew it dead, rewarding to Oregon. If only......
@HALLOW’S GATE The issue was the whistle being blown too early and the ball was awarded to Oregon. They cheated us, and Oregon deserves every bad thing that happens to them.
I bet $330 on Stanford -2. I almost crapped my britches until the Cardinal turned it around. I am a lifelong Oregon fan, it was wierd to be mad when the Ducks scored touchdowns.
So that means it’s okay to for the refs to mess up all those calls? If they called those pass interference calls and got that TD call right that would’ve been game over.
The TD they overturned was the right call though! The pylon is out of bounds. His foot touched the pylon before the ball had crossed the goal line. I didn't like the call either, but you can't argue with it being the correct call.
Nick L the ball crossed the plain before he touched out of Bounce even if we disregard that call all the pass interference calls that weren’t made also played a factor in the game.
I didn’t see this game.. but, from these highlights, Ducks scored on the play at the 4:12 mark. Refs cheated them. They were cheated on a spot of the ball after a play also. Unbelievable
Stanford isn't dropping at all in the rankings *ranked opponent on the road *down 17 *defense force TWO crucial turnovers *offense starts rolling *force OT *WINS IN OT on the road #TheCardinal!!
@@abakella Oregon sucks, the refs gave Stanford that game. This is like the third game this year where the refs are playing a major part. People always say they had opportunity still win the game. You also still have a chance to win a fight after getting throat punched.
@@abakella not moving up isn't good that means Stanford just got skip by another team. And the voter are waiting on them to lose to drop them. We will see tomorrow when the real polls come out.
@@jamesjohnson846 Oregon's DC (Jim Leavitt) is fantastic. In 2016 Oregon's total defensive rank was 116th out of 127 teams. Their defense was comparable statistically to Oregon State and even Idaho. Although the season is still ongoing the ducks defense is now ranked 26th in total defensive which is just behind the #1 Team in the nation. Massive development defensively in the 2 years that Jim Leavitt has been at the program.
Oregon got robbed. Not just the bringing back the TD, but Oregon's first play in OT was a blatantly obvious pass interference. (it's not on this video) Even the announcer said he was surprised it wasn't called. Then a few plays later another no call PI. defender's hands were all over him while not turned around.
Even is pass interference had been called on that play, it would have just moved the ball down to the 10, which Oregon did on the next play anyway for first-and-goal from there. And yes, the announcer was surprised it wasn't called, but it turned out to be moot. The announcer then agreed on the next play that pass interference you're talking about should not have been called.
It seems almost no one here knows the rules. The pylon is out of bounds in college football. The ball had not crossed the goal line when his foot hit it. Quit blaming refs for a massive choke job
Man that was a MAJOR fucked up call to take that touchdown away!!! Wtf they even reviewed it and STILL made the wrong call!!! That's fucked up on so many levels man.
Hate to say it Dan but The Goat is right, and I'm a fellow Dawg. Don't forget how many albums Britney Spears sold when using the "but lots of people agree with me" argument
The call was correct. The instant his foot touched the pylon in mid-air, he was out of bounds and the play was dead. At that instant, the ball was in his left arm, still a yard from the goal line. It did not break the plane of the goal line before he was out of bounds by kicking the pylon.
Trey c. Can you name another guy on that team other than the QB? C.J. Verdell the RB seem to be the real deal, he is pretty explosive. Where was the defense in that game?
STANFORD DIDNT WIN THIS GAME. THE REFS STOLE THE W FROM THE DUCKS AND GAVE IT TO STANFORD. 3 CRYSTAL CKEAR PI’s IN THE FIRST THREE PASSES OF OT THAT THE DUCKS HAD. SMH!
I literally hope no Stanford fan takes pride in that win or even boasts about it...clearly a terrible call that cost them a game and those officials should be suspended
Stanford was still down 10 points at Oregon with only 1 1/2 quarters left. Their offense did a hell of a job and the defense was even better. This shows Stanford can compete with explosive offenses like Oregon
I absolutely went through the roof after that TD called back but 99% sure now it was correct. Stanford did not deserve to win this game nor did they win it. It was absolutely gift wrapped and given to them. game over if we come away with something when down on the 1 yard line. Sucks
