In this video I would like to show you in 7 easy steps how to learn and master Railey 2 Wrapped. For me it was quite a challange to land it at first, but then after few well aimed tips I was able to stomp it really easy, making it one of my most favourite tricks. Here are my steps :)
If you have any comments regarding the video or tips please write me in comments and we will discuss it further! Also if you like my tricktip and you wish me to continue with other tricks, please write me RIGHT NOW which one :)

Its a cool video, you touched some aspects of the trick the most people don't emphasize, first and the most important and I wish I could see more in tutorials, how to keep the kite at 45 degrees while the trick happens and the pull of the bar to bring the kite down to release some of the pressure or tension on the lines. Would be nice if you could apply these basic principles and make a video on "Railey to Toeside with Surface Pass"! Thank You! Peace!!

Brilliant video, really nice detailed description! Could you possibly do a video on the progression from Railey to Blind with surface pass to getting the air pass (Blind Judge)? I know there are videos on the Blind Judge progression but the clarity of description in this and how you point out where the trick could go wrong is really good. Cheers.

+Ben Pickup thanks! I will keep in mind BJ! Meanwhile I can give quick tip: key is the pop, you have to pop harder so you can create slack in the air which allowes you to pass the bar. Second tip is make yourself compact (bend knees) which makes it easier in rotation

+Laci Kobulsky Brilliant, thanks for the tips! Next time I'm out I'll get on and try the blind judge again and now Railey to wrapped too :D!

Exactly what I needed, was learning the 313 or raley to wrapped over a wave kicker lately but I guess the kite always flew up! Furthermore I am trying the backmobe, if you could do a tutorial on this that would be great.
@AmuniMedia
@AmuniMedia 8 лет назад
+AnKlMa Thanks, I really hope it will help! Really focus on trying to yank the kite down before the pass and you should be golden :) As well for the backmobe, there are many different variation :D First its good to start with Backroll 2 wrapped, then you can do late backmobe, backmobe, lowmobe etc... So which one ?? :D

+Laci Kobulsky I guess the Back to wrapped will be a good start, the rest will probably just be increasing speed and airtime. Which one is the easiest?

Hi Laci - another great video. Is it possible to make a video showing a beginners/first trick...? Something like a Back Loop/Roll or something that you would consider to be a "first" trick/s. Many thanks :-)

Working on f16 3s is better to just train f16 to wrapped first?

I am starting with ralley to blind. Please could you give us some pieces of advices
@AmuniMedia
@AmuniMedia 6 лет назад
Yeah sure, make sure you know how to land nice railey with slack first.. then wait for a last moment before you turn to blind, you do not want to start rotating too high. So keep on railey and start pulling in your bar to your hips. As you are close to water make one fast spin to blind, also make sure you have the kite low, otherwise bar will shoot out of your hands. Then the key is to land DOWNWIND so try to land on your heels. if you lean on to your toes your kite will get in power and it will be hard to pass the bar. if you keep going downwind lines will be slacked and its easy to pass the bar, simmilar like I demonstrated in this video :)

Hi!! How much wind starts to do that trick with 14m Tango?

backmobe
@le_tranq
@le_tranq 8 лет назад
It's called a 313.
@AmuniMedia
@AmuniMedia 8 лет назад
+Alexander Lewis-Hughes In wakeboarding yes, in kiteboarding 313 is when you pass in the air, when you pass after the landing its Railey 2 Wrapped
@le_tranq
@le_tranq 8 лет назад
+Laci Kobulsky That's a common mistake. It isn't. All names for tricks in Kiteboarding come from Wakeboarding, in which they are based on the rotation you do, not whether you pass the bar in the air or not. e.g. Backmobe = Backroll + Frontside 360 (whether you pass in the air or not makes no difference). 313 = Raley + Frontside 360 (also makes no difference when you pass the bar). Blind judge = Raley Backside 180/ Raley to Blind (also doesn't matter when you pass the bar). Using "raley to wrapped" is mainly incorrect for 2 reasons: 1. Because determining when a rider passes the bar is completely trivial - What if the rider passes the bar just as he has almost hit the water and you can't work out whether it's a 313 or a "raley to wrapped"??? Would the trick be any different if he passed it 2 seconds earlier, or 2 seconds later??? No, of course it wouldn't! 2. "Wrapped" as a descriptive term doesn't tell you whether the rider is spinning Frontside or backside. You can ride "wrapped" in the rope/line around to your right or around to your left, thus the name doesn't tell people what you are actually doing (unless you already know). Wrapped is a term used to describe how you ride along, not to describe a rotation in a trick (as it doesn't do that at all). All tricks names in their purest form (like Backroll to Blind) should describe the rotation of the trick, "raley to wrapped" does not. (A Raley to Wrapped could also be considered as a Blind Judge if you rode along blind afterwards, as both are landing "wrapped" in the lines). This problem doesn't exist in Wakeboarding for a good reason - it makes no sense. All "wakestyle" tricks in Kiteboarding come from Wakeboarding trick lists, thus it's silly to change the language slightly just because "this is kiteboarding" when all our tricks are done in exactly the same way and we already use all the same names. Check the Kite World Tour trick lists, they have also corrected this error recently. "Front Mobe" is also another trick people get confused in Kiteboarding, it has also been fixed in their lists this year. The main thing that can be taken from all this is that Tricks shouldn't be about something as trivial as when you passed the bar, tricks should be all about the rotation and how well you execute them. Cheers, Alex.
@AmuniMedia
@AmuniMedia 8 лет назад
+Alexander Lewis-Hughes Well thats true but you have to admit that in kiteboarding its 2 very different moves when you pass the ba before or after the landing, therefore there is need for separate names and Railey 2 Wrapped is widely accepted in kite community.
@le_tranq
@le_tranq 8 лет назад
+Laci Kobulsky If you consider passing the bar as a trick in itself, then perhaps... If so then you should really start naming all tricks with the addition of "airpass" - e.g. - "313 airpass" or "back to blind airpass". This is because the name 313 does not imply that the bar was passed in the air (the same is true for almost every other trick name). The fact that some people may understand what you're saying when you say "raley to wrapped" doesn't make it correct. Obviously you're free to do as you like! I'm not your boss I'm just here to give you some insight. Keep shredding!
