Thank you. I had so many obgyn's refuse to give my hrt. Im an ICU nurse with a masters degree and did so much research, all pointing me to HRT. But, I got shot down for years..... thank god I finally took my top notch insurance to planned parenthood. I didnt have to beg and fight for my case, they just said "yes, of course thats what you need".... 😭years of needless suffering.
That is horrible you had that experience. Mine gave it to me and also recommended reading material with it. I started with the patch and it wasn't strong enough I had so much breakthrough bleeding and had to start on Lo-estrin fe 1/10. This has worked for me.
Did they manage to prove that the HRT "Won't" give you C▪︎nc▪︎r? Only everybody I know who thought it was the answer got C▪︎nc▪︎r & that's v frightening 🙏🏻🇬🇧
I suffer for early menopause and fought tooth and nail for HRT. I had started to accumulate fat in my belly and my face aged more in a year than it had the previous 10 as doctors danced around if a 39 year old would benefit from HRT. Now, I am working to undo the damage of 2+ years without estrogen, while finding the right balance of hormones. But thank the stars for HRT and the fact that perimenopause and menopause are finally having a light shown on them and that we are putting an end the the needless suffering of women during this stage in their lives.
I’m 39 and I’ve had night sweats since 35 as well as heavy period bleeding and clots for years that now left me severely anemic. I hope and pray these drs will give me hrt. I know I’m in perimenopause and was an intervention.
Looking back from age 56 I really needed to start estrogen at 42. At 46 i developed autoimmune disease. Lots of symptoms I and doctors attributed to the Sarcoidosis were menopausal symptoms not the autoimmune disease. I am on HRT and doing better.
Yes, me to now estradiol and testosterone but still fighting thru autoimmune disorders but for God praying and fasting helps better than meds also i ruined my body from the old gastric r-n-y bypass in 04
Same. My estrogen started to increase in my 30s not decrease. I now have an estrogen dominance that has caused me to bleed for 3 mos. All other tests came back normal except my estrogen. And every woman in my family has had this issue around the same time in life, which they decided to just get a hysterectomy. My last doctor recommended plant based eating instead, and finally, after 10 yrs of this, my estrogen is slowly getting back to being balanced.
It’s to the point my husband can’t understand any of it and thinks I’m lazy and making it all up and that of course leads me to crying and feeling worse. I know he sees a big change in me and I see it to I just literally can’t do anything about it. I hurt all over and tired constantly and can’t sleep at night and throughout the day my stomach goes from flat to looking like I am 9 mos pregnant and it’s hard as a brick. I can’t keep track of anything and forget everything and can’t remember things one second later and stop mid sentence and thoughts are completely gone I can finish simple task and did I mention I forget everything lol it’s hell and I thought this would start happening in my 70’s and 80’s . I pray i am able to get better and get help before he divorces me. We have always gotten along perfect and he has tons of energy and very sharp and I feel like a dull stick in the mud who can’t help myself or others. It’s not me or who I use to be 😪 oh and I eat healthy and take every recommended expensive vitamin on the planet and the holistic measures offer very little to help!
If your husband treats you like this you dont need him or deserve to be treated bad. Seek medical advice for your symptoms, and if he does not start supporting you emotionally, dump his a**
You just described my life, except the husband part. I sent my hubby every article I found on menopause several years before it hit me full blown. It still knocked him off his feet, what I was going through. Help him understand. If he's your best friend, he will want to help you.
Prepare yourself. Some men don't know how to be different and better. It's imperative that you put all your focus on yourself for now. When this shit hits and to the worst degree degree. It's every person for themselves. He might decide he has to leave anyway. Then where will you be? Take care of yourself! Research as much as you can. Talk to as many people as possible for information. Never give up on yourself. Once you start to climb out of the dungeon of hell. You will have to tell people to give you space. They will want to be around you. There are wonderful groups and communities of woman you can talk to. Please know you are worth shutting out the noise (aka husband). Never give up on yourself. Hope this helps 🙏 ❤
Step 1: DUMP YOUR LOSER HUSBAND OR TELL HIM TO STFU Step 2: Gently exercise, do not do too much to stress out your body Step 3: Avoid inflammation causing foods (sugar, alcohol, refined carbs etc) Step 4: Do some research on natural sleep aids so you can get rest. Our hormone health depends on healthy sleep habits. Step 5: reduce and eliminate stressors … and this includes that loser husband of yours.
What if you are 61, gone thru menopause and can’t find a Dr. who specializes in menopause. So frustrating!!!! Hopefully your book will help me, it’s arriving today. My tummy looks like I am 8 month pregnant, I hate it!
I went on hrt without having my hormones checked. I got restless leg syndrome, went two months without sleep started going crazy. Then they gave me progesterone. Started sleeping but became so drowsy. My brain felt disconnected from my body, i couldn’t work, couldn’t focus on anything. Doctors still tell me to take full dose of both - estrogen and progesterone and refusing to do a hormone test… i have now stopped progesterone- and my alertness is coming back again. Taking only half of the recommended estrogen And ordered hormone tests online and will do them myself. All of this to say - most doctors will refuse to do a test, if they do give you HRT chances are that they will take you to take a wrong dose, wrong times of the month or you will be on the continuous treatment - which almost killed me… 4 doctors told me four different ways to take it. What a mess! Cost me 6 months of my life, lost my job but worse I thought i was going mad…. Be aware… do your research properly before starting HRT. Find a practitioner you can trust. Unfortunately i have not found one yet and resorted to being my own practitioner…. 😅
I can attest to the decrease in belly fat when I started taking Sandrena, Estradiol helps the digestive system as well so I was pleased when the constant bloating disappeared. My doctor gives me Micronized Progesterone pill, Androfeme, Testosterone and Sandrena Estradiol plus the Estring 90 day vaginal Estradiol delivery ring. They are pharmaceutical body identical hormones and are covered by the NHS barring the Androfeme. I'm 53 but my body feels like I'm in my 30s.
I can't find a doctor who will prescribe me anything. I'd pay for it myself if it helps me. I carry a lot of weight on top (in my arms and belly) because my hormones are out of whack. Wish I could get a doctor in my area who would work with me.
I guess everyone is different. I have the Estradiol patch and I am having incredible positive things happening, but 1 con is the constipation. I am eating a lot of Almonds now and this does help. The pro's definitely outweigh the con's so far for me!
So how can we get the estrogen we need without having to spend thousands of dollars on Doctors for the rest of our lives, its pretty unfair that women have to see a doctor for the rest of their lives just to get what they need in order to be happy and to functionproperly. Food and physical activity isn't enough. Is there not anything over the counter for hormone replacement therapy?
There is over the counter estradiol and progesterone in cream form, but it’s not as strong as the prescription form. My insurance covers both for me. I pay $20 a month. The estradiol patch and the oral progesterone are both made from plants.
@@Krisco72719, I’m in the US and I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield that covers most of the hormones I get from my doctor. I pay $20 a month total for estradiol and progesterone.
Can you make a video on bad (environmental) estrogen causing estrogen dominance in women and men vs the good estrogen like what you say here! And the confusion it is causing!
Estrogen dominance in women would be a deficiency of Progesterone and/or Testosterone. Most doctors and all media ignore every hormone for women except Estrogen. Go to a better specialist who will prescribe you Progesterone and Testosterone shots once a month for $25.00
I feel like you completely neglect the women who've had breast cancer. As a self proclaimed menopause expert, can you please provide recommendations for all women who suffer from the symptoms caused by lack of estrogen, including those of us who can't use estrogen products.
She never touches on this in any videos I've seen. And it's not that breast cancer is uncommon. Rates of breast cancer continue to climb. Some say it's 1 in 7 women now will get breast cancer. There's no known cause so no actual cure
I've been 10 years post menopause and still get hot flashes mood swings vaginal atrophy. I take DIM /vitex, Maca green food powder, exercise, I take Vitamin E which helps fish oil and Flax oil and Esterol vaginal cream as well as wild Yam progesterne cream. Scared to do true HTR Dr. all woman in my family had strokes and I've had anal and pre uterine cancer twice. I wish you were my Dr. I also take and eat Garlic and fish oil for heart health and tumeric and tart cherry extract for inflamation
If you've gone through menopause, you really can't because your ovaries are not making it anymore, but you can try eating phytoestrogens or taking phytoestrogen supplements.
@@sarahk1977not true. That is only oral estrogen. there are safer alternatives like injection and transdermal. Avoid synthetic estrogen and use bio identical balanced with bio identical progesterone
I’m so overwhelmed with this information and just started menopause. I sure can feel the difference… I don’t know where to start bc I heard HRT is bad for you.

My unpopular opinion is that it’s best (for me) to let my body do what it does without my interference, based on the stage of life I’m in. If I was meant to have estrogen in my body at 59, I’d have it. I can live with a changed body and not buy into all the programming we’re inundated with around this topic. Not putting pharmaceuticals in my body. Research Ayurveda.
Is there a supplement I can take for hormone therapy, such as increasing my estrogen. I can’t take hormone therapy because I have breast cancer in my family and it runs rampant.
You just tell me some things that makes me want to be a girl more I want to be transgender yeah definitely want to get rid of my belly fat so if you can help you just made it worse I want to be a girl more now
But how do you know how much estrodiol to take verses progesterone. Im on the Estrodiol patch and take progesterone orally. I have gained weight in my hips and my belly
@@julierowland2296, I found a holistic Doc that was an OBGYN for 25+ yrs. (In medicine for 40). He uses kinesiology to muscle test the proper mix that my body is indicating that I need. A local compounding pharmacy prepares it in a cream. ($45). He wants me using 25 days on/5 days off. This mimics a natural cycle. Been on it 1 wk & feel SO much better already! I'm 54. Dr. Dekel/Bluffton, SC.
I cannot take HRTS as I had breast cancer last year ,I have lots of inflammation in my body that I even have Fybromyalgia 😢... what food can increase my oestrogen???....
I just went to the gyno and told her I can't take it I feel tripolar can't sleep immediately she wrote me a script for the patch. Today's my first day😊
I have too much estrogen and not enough progesterone thx to tubal ligation. Cut circulation. We get fat. Bleed like crazy. Get a real doctor who actually cares..
Of what I have read, the birth control pill is not the best option for menopause. Plus it’s synthetic. It’s better to go on hormones that are plant based like estradiol and progesterone. I wear the estradiol patch and take the oral progesterone pill. Both are made from plants.
The knowledge is great but am on state medical who fill men's Viagra pharmacy needs but deny women HRT so they can function in every way. This is what they told me. .. " men need it to stay happy and healthy". Meanwhile, I am aching, brain fog, can sleep, cold nips to the point of them aching, hot flashes, night sweats, ready to jump. ..." It's all in your head". I looked at her 25 year old face and thought " Your time is coming".
I am a breast cancer survivor and still going under treatment. My treatment is an hormones blocker so i went from 128 lbs (i was lean) to 204 lbs!!! I have the "chemo belly" and I'm miserable. As an athletic person and competitor, I have done workouts and intense training my whole life. Since cancer, my life has been turned upside down, and i feel and look like a whale. I'm crying of despair as my bones hurt and now on the path of osteoporosis.
Maybe you should try finding a hormone dr that would monitor your hormones extremely closely. I just started hormones and can’t take estrogen because it causes severe migraines, it’s Intense they are horrible! So I’m trying to add it naturally because I’m miserable and have gained 50 lbs. I don’t recognize myself and feel miserable too. I’m hoping to feel better and look more like myself. My heart goes out to you. I pray you can find a healthier path cancer free.
I was diagnosed with Er+Pr+Her2+ breast cancer the week of my 40th birthday. I am 3 and a half years post mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Clear scans. I take monthly Lupron shots and daily Letrozole to block estrogen. I have never prior to daily hormone blockers had an issue with weight gain(among other issues). Since taking a daily AI, I have gained 25 pounds, and I struggle to keep it from going any higher. Those of us dealing with forced menopause to supposedly prevent hormone driven cancer reoccurence need help too!
Im so sorry and we will pray that your life gets better 🙏 Jesus Christ our lord, please help this woman get better and get her life back so she can do what she used to do that brought her much joy. In Jesus name amen
Look up estrogen dominance. A lot of women today have it, including myself, because of all the chemicals and hormones in our daily lives. Most of it comes from our foods.
Often times in perimenopause, estrogen can be dominant over progesterone. It happened to me too. Many women take a supplement called DIM that helps with this. Once a woman is in post menopause, both her estrogen and progesterone are undetectable. That’s where taking them in plant form can be extremely helpful.
You can have relative estrogen dominance, meaning your progesterone is very low, so estrogen is higher in relation to it, while still having overall estrogen deficiency. In that case, HRT is warranted.
@@cindylutz4700 Read "Estrogen Matters" It says you have 6 years before the bone fracture risk goes back up to what it would be if you had never taken HRT. The book implies estrogen for life is optimal. But I'm not a doc, so I recommend the book.
ma’am with all due respect you might consider your thyroid function Iodine deficiency is common & initially insidious Liquid dulse &/or Nori sheets daily will correct the situation easily
Nobody talks about It makes your hair fall ourz skin wall out. Shirts and weakens our teent abd jounts snd give us terrible joint pain. Doctirs prescrive anuthing withiut doing reseash. Good doctors in South Africa are scavrce abd not affordable
She is just saying that having healthy estrogen levels suppresses your appetite a bit, or at least they stop you from wanting to eat too much, the way you might find you do after a poor night's sleep.
By educating us on menopause! She saved my life and 15 of women in my circle by educating us. My health has improved 100% by reading her books and learning and knowing what to ask my doctor! Thank you!
@@stellarogers-oo4di saved your life???? Can, t believe such an exaggeration! Is it that you had never heard before about menopause, healthy diet, exercise? In which world have you lived up to now? Your mother, sisters, friends hadn't gone through it before and you had never thought about improving your health even without medicalization of a natural process? . You had never heard about HRT, which my mother, who is 81, took in her fifties? I can, t really believe that watching reels has saved your life. Please, be serious.
I’m not willing to roll the dice. I would much rather educate myself on foods and exercise. I’ve gained 6 kilos all around abdominal and my sleep is dreadful. I have Brent renovating and my kitchen comes back into play after five months of eating just with an electric fry pan. I hope to boost my diet with more brocolli, cauliflower and Brussels. Plus exercise more - prior to moving I did lose 6 kilos so I know it can be done. Wish me luck
Dr. Claire Haver. After starting estardiol patch 0.05mg and oral progesterone 100mg started having fast palpitations and severe dry mouth. Have you ever has anyone complain about this symptoms?
I understand this is concerning menopause but would supplementing in oestrogen for an 18 year old wi to PCOS help with the overload of androgens? It’s been 6 years and we’ve tried so many things to no avail. 6 years of acne and facial hair
I feel your pain. This was my sister too. Look up Benjamin Bikman on RU-vid. He wrote the book “Why We Get Sick”. PCOS is often a sign of high insulin. Too many sugars and refined carbs (breads, pastas, rice, etc.) in the diet. Most women with PCOS are insulin resistant. Benjamin Bikman teaches you how to lower your insulin by the way you eat. Also eating too often keeps insulin elevated which is what you want to avoid. When insulin is high, it messes with your hormones causing testosterone to be high. This is why there is the hair issue. My sister had to shave all the time. Most doctors only look at glucose. Glucose can be perfectly normal, but insulin can be sky high. Doctors never check a person’s fasting insulin which is so important. Good luck!!
at 16 my estrogen level decreased dramatically. i dont even have discharge anymore. im 18 now please help! i can only get wet down there when im with a man but back then i could get myself super wet.
All i can say is ywild yam cream ,sprouted pumpkin seed ,exercise, vitamin DD3/k2 ,cortisol control,choline/ inositol ,16/8 fasting ,good diet .these can lower help a lot.
What can someone with alpha-gal syndrome take? I can’t have any mammal. That includes gelatin and lactose. So far both things they wanted prescribe have one or the other.
My doctor won't give me HRT but she gave a transgendered man HRT just because he wanted to be a woman... I'm a biological woman who needs HRT and I know it would be beneficial. 😢
Because there was a study about 20 years ago called the Women’s Health Initiative. It was extremely flawed, and doctors stopped helping women with hormones. A whole generation of women had no access to any outside help. Today doctors are still convinced about that study even though it was extremely flawed. No one studies menopause in medical schools. It’s sad. Now they are finding out how helpful estrogen is for women’s hearts and bones. It’s very protective. I’m so grateful to be on them in post menopause. I take estradiol and progesterone. Both are made from plants.
@@cara.raines, you’re welcome! I used to be worried about estrogen myself. There’s an excellent book titled “Estrogen Matters” written by an oncologist who has helped hundreds of women for the past 20 plus years. His name is Dr. Avrum Blumimg. His book was an eye opener for me. You can also find him on RU-vid.
This makes my want to cry, as I have Lobular Carcinoma, high breast cancer risk and am NOT a good candidate for HRT. So are people like me just screwed?
What to do if we can’t exercise? I don’t know if adrenal fatigue is real or if thyroid issues can be this severe, but if I try to exercise moderately, it takes SEVERAL DAYS to recover, to even get out of bed again. I wouldn’t be able to hold my job if I exercise regularly. I’m distraught about it; I used to be very active. I never wanted to become so sedentary.
I have to call bs on some of her statements. I never had weight issues, bloating, high cholesterol until I went on bio-identical hormones. Even peri menopausal in my 40’s and 50’s I was in the best shape of my life with no weight issues. Not until my late 50’s when I went on HRT that I have gained 25 pounds. I’m eating healthier now than back then. And still exercising and can’t lose inches or weight.

I was just prescribed a 1mg of Estrogen pill. Hesitant to start, fearing stroke, heart attack or blood clots. Currently working on quitting smoking cigarettes. Should I start taking it? I would appreciate your advice. Thank you
I thought the new paradigm says estrogen doesn't decrease with perimenopause, but only progesterone. And the drop of estrogen is because the liver, the adrenals, the thyroid don't function optimally.. And that we have lots of estrogen on our bodies in our organs and tissues, which are always there.. so confusing
Ive read hormone contraceptives can increase HSCRP. If that’s the case, how does hormone replacement therapy or estrogen rather, lower inflammation ? I’m so confused. my HSCRP keeps fluctuating between 3.4 and greater than 10 and it’s been like this for several years but I can’t figure out why. I’ve been on oral contraceptives since I was 20 and I’m 48.
BS ..My wife’s MD refused to put her on estrogen replacements starting about 15 years ago says she would get cancer , heart attack and stroke. We bring it up from time to time. Refuses to RX Beginning to think he just wants her miserable and sick? This is just the opposite of what he says? Even gets angry?
What should Estrogen levels be at 53? I'm a 2x BC Survivor who has estrogen dominance BC. Would it be wise to have Ovaries removed to lower my estrogen levels?
What do you do when you are told by multiple doctors that you can’t take estrogen replacement therapy of any kind because your cancer is from having too high levels of estrogen? I was put into immediate menopause over night and have been struggling for years now. Emergency surgeries back in 2017 at 42 and it’s still a huge struggle everyday.
These are very interesting and lesser known facts about estrogen. You can help in optimum estrogen production by consuming shatavari and fenugreek capsules by planet Ayurveda.
How long is it ok to be on HRT? I'm 59, and had a full hysterectomy 4 years ago, I have been on progynova for 18-24 months, and my Dr is talking about taking me off it. I don't want to go back to where I was before going on it, it destroyed my marriage amongst other things.

Not for me it doesn't. As soon as I increased it I started retaining water and couldn't lose fat and I was diligent!! When I lowered Estrogen and slightly increased Testosterone I started losing!! Yes I was weight training and doing cardio and measuring everything I put in my mouth as well!!
Legit question: what estrogen option(if more than one) are out there for the lower middle, working, or downright struggling people who are worried about their menopausal health.
