Chris, five years on and this is still SUCH valuable info! I still can’t fathom why, after all this time, they have still not implemented a reliable autosave function!? One that would allow you to go to a separate folder in finder, check the save times, then simple double click on the one likely to lose you as little time as possible. Seems like a no-brainier to me. Cubase splatters them all over the main project window but at least they’re there…. Very strange. But, great tips. Thanks. 😊👍

Hi! hoping you can help :) I've finished working on several tracks (saving along the way, since I have been working on the same song for a few days now), now, I've frozen them and when I open them again, all the saved work I have done (which was saved perfectly before freezing it) is gone and the timing is totally off. I've tried a whole bunch of things but the problem is still there and don't really know what to do. Any ideas of what the problem is and how it can be fixed? (If this is of any use, I'm currently working on the 10.5 version)...

When a pluggin keeps crashing do you just throw that pluggin away? i had dopesonix and it was initially and then it crashed Logic and wouldn't open so I had to go to components and check every pluggin till I found out it was Dopesonix...I don't wanna try using it again for it to crash Logic again... I'm trying to figure why did it start just acting up out of no where?

Any reason why control is not working for me? im having trouble with a plug-in but I can't see which one, any ideas before I resort to importing The Whole project into a new one. I double click and hit and hold control immediately after and it is not registering it

My 2012 Mac mini 16gb i5 always crashes and it’s hella frustrating. Majority of the time I think it’s cause my high graphic plugins are causing the computer to glitch and restart but any tips or ideas on why it is an issue would be appreciated

Hi Chris - I notice you use Dropbox, I have concerns about dropbox as they seem to save files in a strange format. This doesn't work if you want to reinstate from time machine for example - thoughts? Richard

Does anyone have the answer to this: My computer suddenly turned itself off. I opened logic and opened the autosaved version of the project but then I closed the project straight away by mistake. Can I go back to that autosaved version? Coz it doesn´t appear when I double click on the project with the option key down. Thanks in advance!

Hey Chris, I recently had a project just disappear as I was working, Logic crashed, but it didn't say "Logic quit unexpectedly", and now when I try to open the project from recent menu, it says "File is in incorrect format, corrupted, or truncated" and won't do anything. Any tips for this error message? Thanks!

After 10 years working with Logic, it is giving me a nightmare. It crashes suddenly all the time, giving me the error “Illegal Region (2)”. So, even when I can reopen any backup, one midi track is always gone forever. I’ve tried every possible solution without success.

You work with clients in Logic? Jesus. I would never, ever, ever trust this awful, bug-filled dumpster fire of a program with something I needed to support myself. Bonus points for making me sit through a 10 minute video to find out you weren't going to address the problem I'm having (the common problem of Logic freezing on save) instead of a web page I could have skimmed in 15 seconds.
