Record labels stay away from older artists primarily because they have more knowledge of the business and with a kid 17 - 21 they can be easily be manipulated and cohearsed into signing bad contracts. Knowledge is Power!!

Yes a great talent but a lot of these guys are not marketable and 99% of the local artist are not Foundation Artist and nobody is telling them their not getting signed by a major label without it! BossTalk Yes you can create and make money from your original music forever, but. I definitely recommend more artist get your Foundation in order and set themselves up like a legit brand with a website and go directly to the consumer in 2024! It makes sense to stop rapping at a certain age!! You can’t be 60yrs old talking bout killing opps and trapping… going to the club!! Ect 😂 it’s the type of music we put out… change the message maybe the Artis will stick around…. We don’t have that issue with RnB….
If you actually pay attention to the music industry… and not idiots, you’d see older artists are receiving 2x’s as many deals, and they are also receiving far more favorable terms on their contracts. 80% of the “young n+%#\s” career won’t last longer than a year after they sign. In the last 7 years, Lil baby, gunna, and uzi vert would be the only exceptions out of atleast 100 young artists.
Facts age got nothing to do with talent we are the only genre that do our artists like that that there's a age requirement and there's not it's a myth there's plenty of older rappers who are doing their thing and getting paid Griselda was older Lucky day was older 2 Chainz rebirth his career after he was 30 if the music is good and the style and character of the artist is good people will show up for it
Can’t sign no yougins because they don’t listen and half ass wanna do the work.aint to many youngsters that’s willing to get out and promote do some free shows to get out there and be willing to to leave they chic and they hood for weeks at a time

@thelastdon6562 that's exactly what I'm saying. An older rapper should have their own lane because thay have a different outlook on life. Not just smashin chick's, show their money, and beefin. Niggas can still make music to ride too.
